Hello ladies! Today was a jog/walk day for me and boy do I feel the burn!

Beaka- thanks, I know what you mean. I dont run daily I do it every other day and sometime not even. THis is my first time jog/walking this week. Yesterday I took step/sculpt and monday I took step. ive been switching up my routine but I try to get at least two runs/jogs in per week. Im so glad that im starting this jog routine now because Im in much better shape than I was last year. You have to remember Ive been working out consistantly for the past year. I can run for about ten mins at 3.7m.

Im sore though after a whole year of doing step classes Ive finally added another step to make it higher and boy ol boy does it work me. I have to switch my workouts and challenge myself. Im planning on doing cycling this saturday but I have to prepare myself mentally for that class lol its sooooo serious!

i dont use the oils daily..that would cause too much product buildup..i use the oils about about 2-3x a week now after spritzin my hair with aloe juice/water mix. i use black soap about 1x a month..but i conditioner my hair at least 1x a week. i try to keep it short and simple.

day 2 of my workout week..getting back into the habit.i also went shopping(notice i shop ALOT now huh) and i couldnt even fit none of the stuff in the plus size sections..which was crazy.i tried on a size 10 average slacks and they fit..just a bit bulging though..i am estatic.i cant believe im getting so small but i am still not loving my body..i need to tone up.

Hey ladies. Olan was okay yesterday but I was bit off. I was in the hospital all day yesterday with my sissy. I have a new niece ...McKenzie. 6lbs 11oz. she is soooo cute.

Brit - It s so crazy to always start at the bigger sizes of the clothes only to realize...shoot i can't fit ANY of this...I HAVE TO GET A SMALLER SIZE!. It seems so surreal sometimes. You are doing so great. It will tkae time to love your body. The more and more you get used to it the more you will embrace your new body.

Matilda - Awesome with the 1.84M. You are getting it. I am glad you know to take rests inbetween. You are doing great lady. I feel pain with the sore...i did about 30 sumo squats and 30 lunges and a$$ is feeling the burn

Jiggle - Heeeeey Good Looking. What you got cooking. You look great!! Got dang gurl. Congrats on your MILE!!! I knew you would do it

girl6nyc - I guess you should decide what you want to do....count calories ( a lot of the girls do that), count points, or stick to whole grains and fruits and veggies....etc. Once you decide what type of diet you want to try we can help you more. Take a look around the Diet Central section and I am sure you will see a few things to peak your interest.

Hi all,

Everyone seems to be doing well and on plan. Thats great! As for me, I think I am a turtle in this race...slowly prodding along. I lost another 2lbs this week so now I am down 12lbs in 5 weeks. Thats an average of 2.4lbs a week. Not bad...i think.

Welcome girl6nyc. Check out the following for some great ideas for a meal plan:
http://www.fitnessmagazine.com/weight-loss/plans/

I got up this morning and went to a 7:00am Boot Camp class at the gym. I am very proud of myself and wanted to share. There were some things I modified and I took a few more breaks than others...but I will get there.

This is just the beginning ladies and I'm excited to continue with a schedule that includes: boot camp class, hip hop class, cycle class, Zumba class, Latin spice class, and turbo kick class. (Rest day on FRIDAY!!!!!!!)

Pulled out the size 10s yesterday and wore them. I'd almost forgotten about them! I tried on a pair of size 8s and they came on and I could even fasten them, but they're still tight. Maybe in another 10 pounds or so they will fit more nicely.

Will be glad to see the 160s. Finally dropped a pound today or yesterday despite several days of stalling.

Hey Guys! I am baaaaack! I was in the Women of Color thread #2, but a month ago I fell off the wagon. Cookouts, parties, weddings, I just couldn't eat the way I wanted too. Well, I could, but I don't have self control! haha.Well, it was a fun break and now I'm ready to get back on the wagon. I've even started a blog to help me with accountability! Check it out in my signature.

I hope to get back to losing weight now that I'm back to watching what goes in my mouth. I'll update in a week or so. Wish me luck! I'm going from cupcakes and ice cream to actually giving a crap again. I know it will be hard

Hello ladies, I'm back!!! I haven't posted in almost a year but it’s good to see this thread is still alive and well. I see Beaka, Cake and Matilda are looking great

So much has changed since I was last here; I'm even busier than before. I still work 2 jobs but now I'm engaged and planning a wedding and I've decided to go back to school in the fall for a career change. In the midst of my crazy schedule I let my diet and exercise fall off a bit. Haven't WI for awhile so I'm not sure exactly how much I’ve gained but my clothes are really snug therefore I'm putting my butt in gear to drop about 20 lbs.

I'll pop in when I can. Best regards to everyone
