intersting info @ the w.i this am.
I was asking about sodium etc...if something has 500mg of sodium and it isn't a meal, stay away from it!! (chips hotdogs etc!)
Another tip....
do not eat with music on, in front of the tv, reading a book etc..why? because your BRAIN has not absorbed that you ate!!! (isn't that interesting??)
and I JUST caught myself eating in front of the tv.(2 w.w toast and 2 boiled eggs) .oye vey! How scary is that! Going to set the table now, for my supper so I do not forget!

Anyways, not a good w.i, but that was my fault...but I can change that!! I have my Dad's wedding to attend (and take photos for) in 2 weeks...bootcamp here I come!

Hope you are all having an awesome day!

Chantal, I came off a bit sharp and I apologize..I wish you could try my new centre where they do not push!! They are amazing! You can read about all the great the diff supps etc do (or not) and it is your choice..they will ask about your 2000 or chrom's but not force..Even my last centre did not force..perhaps that was why I was more apt to ask about diff things I guess?

Anyways, have a good day, make it count with a smile!!

It's all good
I guess over-reacted maybe.. I've seen posts here & there where people are AFRAID of stopping the pills...and I'm so SAD for them...I mean... this isn't right!! People need to understand that the MAJOR tool here is our nutrition...which will follow us through life!! This is THE tool. The supplements are simply something to HELP in the meantime.

Thanks for saying that...I feel better

I've been doing alot of reading these days on different nutritional guides.
I bought Jillian Micheals' new book... Maximize your metabolism.
Makes you go "hmmmmm". Like it a lot!!! those darn processed food is what is "killing" us... I mean, it's all junk...and our system doesn't know how to burn this stuff... Anyhow, I won't go on & on..but it is great!

Montignac is also a bit on the same vein... I'm starting to believe this is the key... if it doesn't have a mother and doesn't grow - don't eat it.

So I'm trying to stay away from those crispy minis and other crappy stuff... I know it's not good for me... nothing nutricious in those things!!

Just felt like sharing this tid-bit with you!!

Hey everyone!

Welcome Happy Girl! Congrats on making the decision to come join us!

Bride: Sorry to hear about what you're going through. There have been a few sudden deaths in my family, but never anything that involved treatment, as with your case. Now is the time to find out who your biggest supporters are and to not be afraid or embarassed to ask them for help when you need it!

Witchie: Good job on the WL. Was that over a week or do you go in more regularly?

Lady: Good luck with boot camp and thanks for passing on valuable info as you come across it!

Chantal: Thanks for the book recommendations... unfortunately no time to read anything not for school. Maybe this summer...

Trabay: Great job with the loss! Wish I was in your shoes with only 8 more lbs to go...

Think that this week should be better for me as long as I get back to the gym and not give into snacking temptations... no social events planned and trying to find other ways to deal with my stress aside from social outings and alcohol. Fingers crossed, wish me luck! haha

Hope everyone's day is going well! Really looking forward to my egg salad sandwich for lunch... yummy!

Chantal: Seeing as you are in a frame of mind for educating yourself on food and nutrition, etc... google 'eating for your blood type'. A gf of mine is losing weight just by doing this. It is very interesting stuff!

It is so nice to see all of the newbies on here! I remember reading this forum from start to finish and finding courage in people's thoughts. So it is nice that we have new voices.

I am remotivated which is kind of unexpected. I am in alot of pain these days but one thing I can control is my attitude and what I put in my mouth. My goal is to be down significantly this week. I am going to prove to myself that I can do it even with the stressors in my life.

Thanks Michele! I know you know as does everybody on here how difficult it can be at times to keep it all together and go for it regardless!

The weight loss was over 4 days. I go into the centre 3 times a week.

Some tricks up my sleeve I do have but you may already be doing them or heard of them.
Even though they allow us those lean cusine meals etc dont bother. The sodium in most of them are killer.
Did you know that every 1000mg of sodium you take in 1 lb stays on you?
If you do have something with a higher sodium amount in it drink water with lemon wedges in it. The lemon water helps you pee out that sodium and get it out of your system.
Also I drink green tea with my meals. Sipping it. Helps promote digestion.
Also I like to have my peppermint tea in the evenings which also helps digestion.
Dont drink TOO much water over the limit because even though you may be peeing more, some of our bodies hold the water. As my friend learned.
Green tea actually takes more water out of your body as well so you MAY or may not have to compensate for that with an extra glass of water. All bodies are different.

I usually try to have my two starches early in the day. Breakfast and lunch. Helps my body to have all day to work them off rather then when Im lazier at night.
I follow the diet to a T cheating to me isnt allowed lol Im very strict, If Im putting money into a product I dont want to waste my money by undoing what Im paying for lol.

A silly little saying I say to myself as I open the candy drawer in our house... yes some have junk drawers we have a candy drawer..... and my chocolate resides in there........ as I lovingly look at it...... I tell myself.... Nothing tastes as good as thin.... lol

Some of my silly quirks and ways lol
