I not only get the moodiness/bloated/eat everything in sight the few days before my period... but the few days after when it is around ovulation time (I am guessing) I get nausea and sore breasts... and non-appetite. Weird huh? Anywhoo.... enough about me. Thanks for sharing your stats. Anyone else?
Well see tonight! My goal is to at least get back to what I was last Monday..which would mean a 0.6 WL from Friday. If it's more, I'll be VERY happy too...but that was my goal...to get back to where I was...at the very least. I weighed myself yesterday and I was surprised...hopefully those numbers will stick for tonight!

Happy Monday

I had a good weekend... I'm back on track. The Poutine is out of my system and I feel so much better (lol).

I'm wearing some pants today that I starting to be a bit "loose"... to a point where I loook ridiculous! But I don't want to buy pants NOW since I'll be changing pants sizes throughout summer!! I'll find some old ones that i have hiding in my bins!! It'll do for now.

meme: I agree about the superfoods... We need to eat those so that they charge up our metabolism to burn more!! I'm reading this book Crack the code... anyhow, they explain how you create different days in order to shock your metabolism (a bit like I'm doing)... one day, one carb before 3pm, the day, 2 carb before 3pm and so on... Maybe that's why I lose more...cause I vary A LOT and eat differently every day.

Default Happy Monday!!!!

I do love the girls at my center don't get me wrong... I just ignore the pressure to buy. Chantal I hope you try some of the recipes.. I showed one of my daughters the recipes and she thinks they all sound good. So I will make them this week. Adapting the recipes for weighing the meat first, measuring any pasta, adjusting dressings or sauces etc.etc. We will see how it goes.

Ok... I joined HM April 20/2009 at 228.6 pounds and as of today's date Monday May 4/2009 I am down to 217.8 that's a total loss of 10.8 pounds.!! I lost like 7 pounds in one week they said??? in 15 days i lost 10.8 pounds!!! Ok not to burst the bubble but now I go back into work tonight and tomorrow night that always changes everything. SO I will keep my fingers crossed and the toes too LOL and see what this week brings me. I know I will not have these numbers in a few weeks time so I might as well enjoy it while I can right???

Anyhow I need to go take a nap for my night shift tonight then its the mad dash to make supper, kids activities, and then work!!!

I hope everybody is ok...its been very quiet here...must be the nice weather.

Sodium question: have you been told by your centers what to watch out as a HIGH number in sodium content? Sometimes I stop and look...and wonder... Cause some things we can't eat because of sodium/sugar...but then I look at something that we are allowed and it's WAY high... I don't get it. (and no, I don't recall which product it was).

My center said they would get back to me with exact amounts to look for in Sugars & Sodium amounts.

Any clue?

Default Re sodium...

I am sorry but my center did tell me about the amounts per meal we should have, but I honestly can't remember the number, I remember them mentioning 300 mg per meal, I think don't quote me on that for sure.

I made the cabbage roll casserole from Volume 1 cookbook, it was only ok...my european mother in law of course makes to die for cabbage rolls, stuffed peppers and cabbage casserole but hers is used with Vegeta and oil. NO tomatoe sauce in her cooking its sacrilegious for her to do that to her cabbage rolls. I added hot sauce to mine afterwards. I added vinegar and only a bit of spaghetti sauce to mine. My husband didn't mind it, definitely used to the salt in my MIL cabbage recipes. I think I would add less ground beef and add more cabbage next time, and lots more garlic. I would make it again because it makes a quick meal when you are on the go.

Talk soon

Hi everyone. The weekend was a little hectic here, had to avoid some pretty tempting situations, but I managed quite well. One thing I'd like to share that I find helps alot for me.... The evening is the worst time for me, that is when I want to snack on things like popcorn etc, etc. I have been avoiding this by making a HUGE cup of hot tea with stevia as a sweetener & fat free coffee whitener, and by the time I'm done the tea, I'm so full I don't feel like snacking anymore! Anyhoo, just thought I'd share. Weigh in tomorrow.

Hey ladies, I am here still. Went for Weigh in and was up .4 from friday, but considering the 3.8 drop on friday im not really that suprised. Kinda disappointed but not surprised.

I have been having massive pain in my abdomen and ended up taking myelf to the emergency room today. Turns out that i have Gall Stones....most likely caused from rapid weight loss....ugh should have known there was a downside to this lol. I have to go in for an ultra sound (which i cant get in for until June 1st!) So i have to deal with the pain until then, and let me tell you its BAD

Hi everyone! I just joined with Herbal Magic today and am starting my weight loss journey tomorrow! I am super excited! I have 91 lbs to lose in total and can't wait to get started. As for a little about myself... I am 26 years old and always been a bigger girl. I've yoyo dieted for the past 6 years, and finally ENOUGH is ENOUGH I have a 13 month old daughter and am trying to lose the baby weight and then some. More importantly as I get older, I have a strong urge to get heathly for myself and for my child and future children! Let the weight loss begin!

Did you let your center know??? DUH obvioulsy you did. Did your doctor say anything about being on the plan?? I am interested since I am in the health field. I hope all is well... and do take care of yourself. Ask to be on a cancellation list if at all possible. And if the pain worsens go right back to the hospital. Did they do an ultrasound first or xrays???

Take care!!

Ok so WI last night...as most of you know... I had a crappy week last week... well I lost 2.2 pounds!!! YEAH!
I was SO happy. Like, in the back of my mind I thought "What would my numbers be...if I would've been NICE all week?".... but still, 2.2 - can't complain!!

They were telling me about MaxiFa? I said no thanks. I mean listen - I'm losing a lot... a lot more than usual... I don't need any more pills, thank you very much!

So I'm back on track & it feels awesome!!!!!!
