I suspect Chantal that your 'screw ups' won't have as detrimental of effect as you think. If I were to wager... I would say you will still be down at least a pound. 3.7lb/week is pretty impressive! Good job you! Darn those stupid hormones!!!!!!!!!! Heck... I not only get the moodiness/bloated/eat everything in sight the few days before my period... but the few days after when it is around ovulation time (I am guessing) I get nausea and sore breasts... and non-appetite. Weird huh? Anywhoo.... enough about me. Thanks for sharing your stats. Anyone else?

Default Happy weekend everyone!!!

I went in for my weigh in today after I woke up from my night shift and I am down a total of 8 pounds, in 2 weeks. I am keeping my fingers crossed because this is my first weekend on days off, so I will see how I ward off temptation. I am now entering my 3rd week.

I have a bit of a cold so I am not feeling to hot.. but of course that does not stop my mouth from eating food. I went to Mcdonalds with the kids tonight they have not had this in over 2 weeks. I had a grilled chicken snack wrap in the dining out guide they suggested honey mustard dressing with it but my restaurant did not have that so I had the spicy buffalo.. will drink lots of water. I had a side salad, with a little bit of Italian dressing. I know I am not supposed to but I only had a little bit. And apple slices with 1/2 caramel dip.
I did well I think, that is the first time I went in to a MCdonald's and did not order french fries, or a sundae, or a quarter pounder with cheese!!! I did not have one bite of my kids fries because if I did I would not stop, I love their fries.

Timmies earl grey tea with milk. Then I had 1 cup cottage cheese, some cucumbers, 1 slice WW bread, and 2 eggs with hot sauce. I will have my protein bar and that is it for me. Sneak in some water and some more product and I am calling it a day. Working nights screws up your day for eating so badly!!!

Good luck everyone!!! May the force be with you!!!!

A challenge to all of us:
Try getting in some of the 'superfoods' into your diet.
For example: Broccolli, squash, carrots, yams, almonds, salmon, spinach, olive oil, blueberries, oatmeal, etc... A little of these foods go a long way towards our health.

One of my favorite meal combos is fresh salmon, sweet potato fries and broccolli. Ooooo so good!

Hey everyone just wanted to say Hi i have been kind of laying low the last little while. Felt like i fell off the wagon and was embarassed to tell anyone. I was hovering around 275 and 280 couldnt seem to break those numbers, i know exactly why i was eating everything i could see and then working out like a mad woman to balance it out. Anyway this week i stayed on track and kept my normal gym routine and FINALLY thank god..am down to 272 help to motivate me when i see numbers change. Hoping to break into the 260's by mon...might not be attainable but its a goal Once I do that i am by far the lowest i can ever remember being, in my 20's anyway....its exciting yet scary all at the same time lol

2 dogs and UFF... I have been in your shoes... recently even... Weight loss is a hard road. There is no quick fix and it is hard to be disciplined 100% of the time. But if the overall picture involves us focusing on the prize ... (ie. a new healthy lifestyle and renewed confidence in self) then it is totally worth it. Slip ups are part of life... it is the getting back up and getting back to it where true strength lies. Feel better Lady! And UFF... working out like a madwoman is a great strategy for dealing with your slip ups.

Ok... so I need to vent. I went in for WI. Down over 3 lbs. Yay... which has me down overall according to my centre WI but not according to my Wii fit WI which have me up .2. But that is ok. I am pretty proud of myself. But I could have done without my centre today. They orange flagged my file as 'off track'. MY butt OFF TRACK! I'll show you off track! Anyhow, this means that my ability to reach my goal by their projected date is in question. They were trying to sell me a 15$/week buy-in that resets my goal date. Then they were trying to sell me on trying different products. UGH! I am annoyed. I know I am not losing as fast as their projected plan, but I am consistently losing and to me... that is all that matters!!!!! That was a conversation that wasn't about my success but rather about money and that makes me angry. I did my very best to be polite and then graciously declined. I am off work with a back injury plus I have a great deal of personal stress right now. I am proud of my success thus far and whomever wishes to rain on my parade can keep it to themselves. That is my rant for now. :P

Default TO memem

Remember they are a business and they want your money....that is the bottom line. I won't even tell you how much it would have cost both my husband and I to loose together in 2 years, when I presented my centre with the total cost do you want to know their response to me was>>>> You aren't supposed to look at the total cost...its your health, now why would you go and do that??? So my husband said I could stay on. It would have cost us around $ 10,000.

I would have talked to the centres owners, the fact that you are losing during personal stress and a back injury is amazing and don't let them tell you otherwise. They should offer you extra weeks to adjust your goal date at no cost to you, you still will be buying and taking the products!!!

Every week my centre tries to get me to buy something... CLA's fat blockers they even tried to get me to buy my husband wm 4000's to help his metabolism along and like always I said no thanks.

I don't like weekends of not working on the plan.... the food court called my name and it won... but I stayed away from cheese, fries, cookies, Chinese, I had pasta with sauce and veggies which I only ate half, and a side salad with a little bit of dressing which isn't to bad considering. I totally was not prepared and hungry, oh well I am only human. So I will exercise not have my free exchange and drink gallons of water!!!

Remember as long as there is a loss on the scale, that means you are one more pound closer to a healthier you and that is what is important, not their pockets!!!

Keep your chin up and keep plugging along you are doing amazing!! And I would put them in their place the next time they say anything to you!!!

That is my rant to...

Default 2 dogs 1 lady...

How much weight have you lost??? And how long have you been on the plan??? Just curious.. I too have a cold which makes you feel so yucky, and I am trying not to take anything for it because of the dreaded weight gain from water retention!!!!

Good luck this weekend.

Feel better to all of you sickies! Remember water retention isn't the end of the world. If you need to take something to be well than do it! The water will go away quickly when you are back to normal.

Default Oatmeal....

Hi guys... I was wondering if you know how much dry oatmeal would equal a 1/4 cup?? I made some rolled oats last week and I made too much, and my kids like the instant kind... and I love oatmeal.. I mean love it....so that in itself would be temptation to go over board. But I will be good. Thanks. Are we almost done this weekend???

1/8 cup makes 1/4 cup cooked. But 1/2 cup cooked oats = 1 starch

Default Hello again..

Hello there I hope the weekend was good to you all. Mine was a challenge even without social invites. The dining out guide and expanded food list got used that's for sure

I found a meal planning website that is based around the Canada's food guide. You sign up and its free. You view a weeks worth of dinners, delete the ones you don't want, you can put the recipes you want in a cookbook for future use, it shows pictures, and reviews although they are in french for some reason. plus it gives you nutritional data for each meal. YOu can adjust the serving sizes as well. You print out a shopping list, and the meal plans with the recipes. I am sure you can adjust things for HM requirements. Check it out soscuisine.com

My kids and I went on a 2 1/2 hour hike today and it was amazing!!! Hills etc. We had a few challenges due to the mud and a stream that got all of our feet wet!! But we did it.

Now back to oatmeal I am a little slow here so don't mind me. In my HM food guide it shows that a 1/4 cup of uncooked oatmeal equals a starch serving...so what is that amount cooked?? 1/2 cup??? Has anyone tried Red river cereal??? It has flax in it and it is a little chewy but I love it as well. Good to change things up a bit I think.

I hope all our weigh ins tomorrow are good...I hate the anticipation of it all.

Sorry for talking so much

I think I have a great center! They never pushed for my hubby to join...AND they even wanted him to join for FREE...he only had to pay his supplements!!
I thought that was a deal in itself...but he's losing by simply eating what I eat He lost 8 pounds to date...I lost 14.8... but he is not following to a T.

Also, my center doesn't PUSH me to buy other stuff...they even said to wait for the CLA's and stuff...so... I'm glad! Tooooo bad not all the centers are the same!!
