Afternoon all,
Have been having a sort of 'hurry up and wait ' day. It's rained on and off so I have been racing out to rescue washing etc, running with the lawn mower between showers etc.

I'm sort of checking on accommodation as well. I've booked a flight to get to Melbourne on Saturday and it is interesting trying to find the place on St Kilda road. One map tells me it is in the middle between town and St Kilda and another states it is right in St Kilda itself. Guess I will have to try again or call the big T to tell me where to go (or maybe not - he may tell me to go someplace I don't want to be!)

Made some lunches for the DS2 to take to work as well. He will be pleased with the ol' Mum tonight - well maybe. I've also folded up the rescue washing, done the ironing and checked out the wardrobe for what to take south with me. Haven't done a lot of work around the house though damn it all.

Mel - tomorrow or the next day sound fine to me. That's my Wednesday or Thursday and your Tuesday and Wednesday.

And with that I'd better go see what gives in the kitchen. DS2 will be home for tea shortly. Better go scrounge up something. Have a great day.......

Good morning ladies -

Just a quick check in for now as I'm trying to get caught up at work after the long weekend. It'll be a crazy busy day today that's for sure.

I hope you all have a great day.

JEANETTE~ THE MEMORY BOOK IS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL IDEA. HOW SWEET IS THAT. I AM SURE THE KIDS WILL LOVE IT. SO VERY THOUGHTFUL OF EVERYONE. HOPE YOU GET THE LIME ROOM STRAIGHTENED OUT.

HAPPY~ POOR OLD MR FERAL. HE MUST STILL HAVE A FEW LIVES LEFT IN HIM. HE'S LIKE THE TIMEX KITTY! KEEPS ON TICKING. GOOD LUCK WITH THE MEAL PLAN. HEALTHY LIVING SURE IS TIME CONSUMING!! I FORGET OUR TIME DIFFERENCE. I GET IN BED BETWEEN 7:30 & 8 PM NOW AND WATCH TV FROM THERE AT NIGHT. GIVING MY BACK AND EYES A BREAK. ONLY PROBLEM IS THAT I CANNOT TALK LYING DOWN ANYMORE. CAUSES SHORTNESS OF BREATH AND COUGHING. GO FIGURE. SORRY TO BE SUCH A PAIN WITH THIS BUT IT SEEMS MY LIFE IS CHANGING AND I AM TRYING MY BEST TO ADAPT

ANNIE~ SENDING LOVE AND HUGS BACK TO YA. DON'T YA HATE WHEN A POST JUST FLIES AWAY??

SHAD~ TOMORROW IS GOOD. WEDNESDAY MIGHT BE. I WILL FREE UP THE LINE FOR BOTH DAYS. NOT A PROBLEM AS I'M NOT REALLY ON IT!! WHEN YOU SAID WIND TURBINES DID YOU MEAN FOR GIANT MACHINES OR THOSE NEW WINDMILL THINGS THAT ARE SPROUTING UP ALL OVER THE PLACE?
WILL CHAT SOON.

MICHELLE~ SAYING HELLO BACK TO YA!! HAVE A SUPER DAY.

AS YOU CAN SEE I AM STILL HERE. TRIED THE MAKEUP AND IT IS STILL BURNING A BIT. YOU CANNT HAVE IT ON YOUR FACE WHILE IT'S DOING THAT...IT ACTUALLY BURNS THE NEW SKIN UNDER THE DRIED BITS AND MAKES MATTERS WORSE. BUT I THINK THAT BY WEEK'S END I WILL BE ABLE TO WEAR SOME OR AT LEAST BY MONDAY OR SO.
I WILL FIND SOMETHING TO OCCUPY THIS WEEK AND JUST STAY CALM BECAUSE FRETTING DOESN'T HELP EITHER

HAPPY TUESDAY

Good morning chicks,

A kind of quiet day here. On the cool side again. They say it sleeted a bit overnight. Looks dry here but I guess that's what makes it dangerous - you don't expect it. Mr. Feral came by for some food yesterday but for some reason is deciding not to take a snooze. DH and I were watching - the way he's hunched up you can see he's in lots of pain. I wish he would just curl up in his bed. He needs some healing sleep. Not much else going on so maybe I'll get out of here and get to work a bit early today. My refrigerator is full of WW approved lunches this week

Have a good one ladies...

Good morning Mel, I see you are back to posting over me I understand about the weekday schedules - seems the night flies by for me too. Cripes you are in bed when I'm first getting dinner together! I admire you early to bed peeps - one day I will be one too.

Be careful with that makeup. I know why you want to use it but don't cause yourself more troubles

When do you leave Shad?

Good Morning and Happy Tuesday!!

A beautiful day in store for Indiana. Sunny and 45 degrees. Thursday, however is back to 23 degrees. Then a warm up...yeah!!

Shad...Ironing??? I don't iron. If it doesn't come out of the dryer looking good, it goes into the trash!!

MEL....you don't need make-up, you are beautiful without it.

Michelle...good morning to you too! Hope you have a terrific day free of stress.

Happy...Good job on stocking the WW meals. I tried the shrimp marinara last night and it was fabulous. I am going to get me some more.

Going to see the lawyer tonight about taking my ex back to court for $$ he owes me. His support was always up to date, however he owes me for other things. It is funny, but I feel bad taking him back to court. I know he doesn't have the money right now, as the inheritence he is supposed to get did not come through yet, as I thought. Why do I feel like that??

Hello to everyone...

Much love and many hugs,

Morning all,

Been for my walk/ run. It is getting easier, but it is never easy to lose the weight once it goes back on. In actual fact weigh in today was not a pretty sight. Did I say I wanted to put on 4kg this month or lose it???

Mel and I have just finished a long chat. We have put the world to rights so you chickies can rest easy in your beds tonight and tomorrow will be a good day. Good to chat as always Mel. Just carry on being a selfish and self centred old biddy and all the scabbie bits and the nasty things will go away. You can no longer afford the emotion. Go watch Supernanny and take some tips away for yourself as to where to bury the bodies!!!!

Michelle - we can only do what we can do. There is no point is ranting and raving and railing against the amount of work or how much the boss/ job/ politics/ or environment sucks. We each do the best we can and achieve the most we can.

Happy - Mr Feral will do what cats do regardless of whether we think they should sleep, eat or work. Animals march to their own beat - and who is to say it is not better than ours.
I go to Melbourne on Saturday morning. I will be staying with a friend for a few days while I sort out some place to stay in town. It will be fun.
Not sure about the Canadians. I know Carla is lurking - I can feel her there. I think Madcat does as well. Ruth is so busy. Don't know what happened to the others.
I may try to give you a ring before I leave for Melbourne. It will be later in the evening.

Anni - I have only about three things in the entire house that require ironing. I don't use them much!!!! But I don't use a dryer, actually I don't have a dryer in the house. No point when I can hang a load out and bring it back in when I hang out the next load! It's that quick, winter or summer. Summer is actually the worst since we get days of rain at a time. Then I might go down to the laundromat and get my stuff dried.
If the ex acknowledges that he owes you the money, why should you feel bad about claiming it. Mind you the lawyer will probably take at least half of it.

Ceejay - hope all the spasms and muscle pain has gone for you now.

Better get on with my day. It will be an inside sort of day today - mostly anyway as we had rain last night. One of the towns in NSW got flooding rains overnight - they got burnt in the NSW fires recently. Can things get any worse for them???

Good morning ladies -

I've got a bit of a sinus thing going on....congested, headache, sore throat. And because of not wanting to make the sore throat or any possible infection migrate to my lungs, I skipped the gym last night. I'll see how I feel tonight, and hopefully I'll be able to go to the gym.

Another busy day at work today....but that's fine. I'm enjoying it. I came in at 6:30 and have to get today's work done by 8:30 because after that I'm going to be in an all day management training class, which hopefully will be good as well.

Anyway, I'll try and check in over lunch.

Love and hugs to all,

Morning all,

We dodged a bullet with some bad storms last night. They were swift moving so we only had a light show for about 30 minutes. Lots of banging on the house last night as I lay in bed praying the trees would not come down on the roof and crush us

I see you and DH hooked up on Facebook Shad. Happy chatting.

Hope the government comes through for you Mel.

Michelle - the sinus stuff is starting all over again here too. I hate it. Into work at 6:30 cripes I'm just greeting the world (sorta) at that time! Have a good class, don't snooze when they turn down the lights

Ok Carla, be that way

Annie - I don't know why we always feel a bit guilty going after something that is rightfully ours while there are others who don't have a problem taking a pass on their responsibilities. Unless the guy is truly down and out (out of work, no food on the table, begging scraps for supper), then just give him a nudge to fork up.

Ceejay - feeling better?

Was reading an article this morning on the end of the line of rampant consumerism. It's funny, things got so bad we kept asking ourselves, will this never end? I didn't think so. I think it's the culmination of greed going all the way back to the 80's. Sorta glad that DH and I bucked the trend and instead buckled down and paid off bills including our car notes, put money into savings and apart from occasional clothing benders for me and guitars for him, we stayed pretty conservative. Other than the fact that our savings got washed away, we'd doing ok. I'm not so sure I feel that bad for those who lived the high life of excess and greed and now are crying oh poor me. I save my sympathies for the truly hard working decent people who through no fault of their own are losing their jobs and scraping to get by.

Gotta run and get on with the day. See yah.

Happy Hump Day Again....Man, a week sure goes by fast....

Got the last of the trash out for pick up this morning.

Ceejay...I have been nudging and reminding ex about the money he owes me since 2004. No luck. Even sent excel spreadsheet and all receipts of proof for each year. Had to do something, statue of limitations runs out at 6 years on trying to collect.

Happy...he is not down and out, however retired since this past August. Says he is on a fixed income. He wasn't in 04, 05 06 and 07 when he owed me these debts. Mixed feelings for the ole coot. Mostly negative ones...

Michelle...take care of you. Don't let your sickie get too far gone before you take care of it. It will get you down and take longer to get over. Have a great day in training.

Shad...even if the lawyer took half, getting half is better than getting nothing. The lawyer is through our Employee Asst Program here at work. He is charging me by the hour and said maybe it will take up to 500.00. The ole coot owes me 12k, so I can live with the 500 bucks. We are going to try to get attorney fees and court costs out of him also.

49 degrees today, whew whoooooooooooo.

Hello to all

Love and Hugs
