Good Sunday/Monday to you wonderful ladies -

I'm going to try and make this quick. This weekend has been very relaxing for DH and me. We stayed around the house yesterday and this morning we went fishing, though we didn't catch a lot (DH caught one bluegill, I caught a bluegill and a nice size bass). It was a gorgeous morning and it was lovely being out on the lake. This afternoon, DH is resting off his jet lag, and I'm doing website work. The Packer game is on TV tonight, so we'll be watching that in a couple hours.

Shad - Thanks for the friendship poem! I hope Sunday adjusts to cat food okay. I've been having the munchies too lately. Hang in there and exercise when you can. Since your gym membership ran out, are you walking or doing other exercise? I know that working out can really jump start weight loss. You sure got a lot accomplished this weekend and had fun with your friends too! Good for you! The weight will come off...you know you can do it as you've done it before.

Ceejay - So glad you got great work news! Yay! So cool that you saw turkey in the woods. We have turkey that live in the woods and meadows near us. Enjoy your time with the relatives!

Annie - So nice that you had a great time with the gal pals.

Mel - Glad you straightened things out at work. Sounds like they're either insensitive or dense! Either way... Are the leaves turning where you live? I hear they've already turned in parts of New England. Here in the upper midwest, they are just starting to turn....I'm in no rush. I want them to take their time so I can enjoy the lovely changes in colors over several weeks. Enjoy your Meliday.

Happy - Sounds like you hit the jackpot at the Farmer's Market! The Cubs won the division....and my beloved Brewers are not doing so well in getting into the playoffs...hopefully they can turn things around AND FAST! I hope your side pain goes away. Do you think you should see a doctor and maybe have it checked out? My late night snack usually consists of a low calorie ice cream treat and a glass of 1% chocolate milk. But lately, that has not been enough...and I've been munching on popcorn as well. Arrrgh. I'm hoping it's just because it's that TOM. How cool that you've taken up beading? I really enjoy working on crafts....of course, I don't make too much time for that...when I do have time that's not spent on cooking, laundry or working out, I do website work, spend too much time on the computer and sometimes clean. Ahhhh....to be independently wealthy and be able to afford to not work. As for the type of doc to go see....I'd see an orthopedist or sports medicine doctor (that's what my back doc is - sports medicine)....who with some movement tests and maybe after viewing Xrays should be able to tell you if it's bone or muscle issue. My physical therapist has done WONDERS for my back, hip, hamstring and glute pain, which it turns out, are all linked together. I need to keep all my muscles fully stretched and loose and then the pain in my back, hip derriere area goes away. There are some tremendous stretches you can do for hips (piriformis muscle and hip flexor muscle), as well as glute muscles and hamstrings. I definitely would suggest seeing someone...orthopedist, sports medicine doctor or someone. When you go to the gym make sure you stretch and warm up your muscles slowly....don't make them start working at full speed right off the bat. I'm really bad about remembering to stretch BEFORE and AFTER, and now my body scolds me BIG TIME when I forget.

Well, I've got to finish my work and then cook dinner before the Packer game starts.

Love and hugs,

Good morning chickies,

Was back in the gym for me. I woke up at 4:10 and just tossed and turned until it was time to get up at 4:50. I'm sure I'll be crashing this afternoon. Always hard to get to sleep early enough on Sunday night. Just one more thing and then I'll get to bed...

Felt SOOOOOOO stupid last night. I had purchased some songs for DH to load on his IPOD. Bought them online via Napster and I had to download them to CD to load them on his PC. I couldn't get it to write to the CD. Tried several out of a new pack - all bummers. I was getting pretty peeved and DH and I were trying to find a program that would let us format the CD. After about 25 minutes of fussing, I looked at some other CDs in the cabinet. They were the same kind I was writing to before without a problem. After painstakingly comparing them, I finally noticed that I had the CD in the drive UP SIDE DOWN! *** slaps head*** And duh oh duh duh - the CD has printed stuff on the top side so it's not like it was obvious. The only thing was the CD was in the case upside down and I just put it in that way because I always do it that way. And DH did the SAME THING. See, this is why I don't offer technical advice

Mel - I like the point and toss idea. Finally they are "getting it" and so are you. Don't wear the arm out pointing at everything. I have to send you one of the red laser pointers we use to exercise the cats. Then you can point and shoot, miminal arm movement tho you do have to be careful not to zap anyone in the eyes.

Michelle - glad to hear you had a nice weekend with the DH. Sounds like you have been pretty busy this weekend I'm glad to hear that you are having success with your therapy. I have not been impressed with some of the doctors down here. A couple of months ago I fell in a parking lot and landed on my hand and hurt my thumb. They took xrays and said everything is ok. That thumb still hurts me. I jammed it a few times and saw stars. DH saw 2 different orthopedic doctors down here and didn't get relief from either of them. Not sure if he did physical therapy too. Back up north we had a wellness center next to the hospital by us. I went there for therapy twice and really had success with it. I'm sure alot of the care has to do with the insurance companies. I picked up some Advil after we finished at the gym today and I'm going to use some of the heat cream to see if that fixes anything. I will also go to exercise class on Thursday and see if I can get an appointment with the teacher who does therapeudic massage at the rehab place. Thing is, she is booked pretty solid and I'd probably have to work my work schedule around a daytime appointment.

Shad, it does seem funny to me that so much of your food is imported. But I guess there are some staples (like garlic) that won't grow in tropical climates. I guess I take for granted what we have. I did buy a mango again but this time one of the ladies in class told me more about it so I knew what kind to buy and when it will be ripe enough to cut. Not like last time when I almost got out DH's power saw to cut up the thing. After all the bad stuff I've been hearing about tainted food in China, not so sure I'd want to be eating anything exported from there. Enjoy your chat with Mel.

I spread the beads out on a guest bed and have set myself a limit to start a necklace by next weekend or everything is getting returned. As it is I bought too much or more than I should have and I should take at least half of it back before DH sees the bill and blows a gasket.

Anyway, time to go make some money. See you later chicks - hello to those I didn't get to individually.

Hello everyone,
I'm not doiong back flips or flip flops. J. has come back to the plant but is sharing responsiblities with T. The news paper stated that the tow would be supervisor's but J was already a superintendant. They made T one also. He's still over the plant. I'm so disappointed, but life goes on.

Mel,
We're having an inspection tomorrow also. I'd plan to clean some today but not all day. L is not going to like to hear those words. Seems like we get stuck with all the inspections.

Happy
I understand about the doctor's care in this area. We all think that your town is the best. I thought Jonesboro would be better too but now I'm not to sure of that. Hope the pain goes away. Have you tried taking potassium. That helped my back spasms.

It's time to earn some more dollars.

Morning all, and it is........ just! I've been to the dentist and got relieved of $145.00 - no wonder people don't go that often!
Then I went and spent nearly $200 at the grocery store. Happily I won't have to go back (apart from veg) for about a month. I have enough fruit and veg to see me through until well into next week so I'm okay with that.

I spent most of yesterday sanding the walls. Made a lot of headway but still have a fair amount to do. Doubt that the floors will get done before I go away again. Which reminds me I need to sort out my roster for Dampier. I think it is two weeks on and 1 off site.

So having put my vast supply of groceries away (3 bags) I'm about to go back to the wall and get set up again. Actually I might just have an early lunch and then get onto it. Don't know why I bothered to clean the bedrooms since no matter how well I masked up and covered up the floors and walls, there is sanding dust everywhere. A bit clean up coming up when the plastering is finally finished.

Having said that, I'll buzz off and get my lunch - yoghurt, fruit and coffee and then just get on with it. And while I think about it. I was losing the flight fluid quite successfully. Then one night I couldn't be bothered cooking and had a McCains Healthy Choice (Stroganoff). When I checked out the package it had more mg of Sodium than it had kilocalories (4 cal to a kcal) so no wonder it went back on overnight. Check those labels girls.

Ruth - I am so very sorry for your loss. Hershey was a wonderful, loving and caring soul. Her spirit will live on in your memories and in the memories of all those she touched.

Morning all,
I guess there is not a lot to say today. Hershey is famous throughout the world through her deeds and actions. Ruth, I was so sorry to hear about her. There is no comfort I can offer, may she play joyfully at the end of the rainbow along with Lucy and the Shad.
Do not cut yourself off from us my friend, we are here to help as we can. Can't do much from here except offer sympathy, cyber hand holding, tissues etc., and although it is only 6.59am I'll volunteer the odd scotch or two to keep you company should you need it.

Mel - do not beat yourself up after yesterday, I love you. You must have needed it to do that. (now bet that has gotten some wrinkled brows). We will talk again.

Happy, we grow perfectly fine garlic here in Aus. Not so much in the coastal tropics but it grows elsewhere on the continent. It's just that for some mad reason, the supermarkets have decided that it is cheaper to bring in garlic from China and prawns from Vietnam, and mangos from Thailand and Mexico than to source them here. Maybe they are starting to think again, as we are beginning to get local stuff back in the stores. Not as cheap mind you, but I know where they come from, I have an idea as to the conditions and methods, they have got to be fresher and therefore I buy them.

Ceejay - what I don't understand is that you and presumably the other workers are working longer and longer hours and yet you don't get help, you only get two bosses, one of whom never seems to work more than the regulation 8 hours. Doesn't make much sense to me.

Okay, I must get this wall finished today and some paint on that and three other walls. I've put off the floor next week since I will not be finished in time. I'm just waiting for a new date. My new job has been put off to the 7th, which is okay but I'm not waiting around for any later start dates. I've warned M that I will start looking for something else if it doesn't happen this time.
So I'm off - for breakfast and then sanding, cleaning and painting. That should take up the rest of the day.

Thanks for the support Worldlies. The good thing about this is that I was with some of the other MODs in NC and had 24 hour access to hugs and kleenex and even Scotch! Most of you have had pets so know what this is like.

I was at the nursing home this morning for a meeting and meant to give Harry the news. Luckily he was asleep so I was able to postpone the inevitable. I'll tell him when I know I can control the tears.

Hugs to you also.

Shad
Things are the same at work. Mainly, I was wishful thinking. There is always to many chiefs and not enough Indians as the song says. Tim was promoted and James was asked to monitor the chemical dosages. James was asking me some things today about some of the reports that went to the plant manager.

I watched part of the Biggest Loser tonight which seems to motivate me in a way. I hate the part where some one gets sent home. I'm for the yellow team.
