Good morning lovely ladies --

My projects are going better. I'm still playing catch up on several projects, and need some assistance and pieces put in place from other departments, but I'm feeling a lot happier about them today than yesterday or Tuesday. I went to the gym last night for a Step class. I really enjoy Step class! It was a lot of fun. Tonight is strength and core training using the exercise ball and weights, followed by a Jazz Dance class.

Annie - I'm so sorry to hear about Jeff. I agree with Rennie, about someone that won't return a call or even a text isn't worthy of you. You are a wonderful, caring woman and deserve to be happy. Take good care of yourself. Make sure you are eating enough.

Ceejay - I'm glad you're getting the rest and relaxation you need and deserve.

Rennie - I'm not following a plan so to speak, I just try and watch the carbs, eat whole grains as much as possible, balance carbs and protein, make sure I'm getting lots of veggies and fruits (even though sometimes I don't), and drink water.

Shad - How nice that you get to be home for a couple weeks! I sometimes wonder what it would be like being my own boss as a consultant, traveling, etc. For now though, I really enjoy the position I have and the company I work for and I hope I'll be here for many years. As for the blonde in the photo....I'VE got long blonde slightly wavy hair....so it MUST be ME!

Happy - Thanks for posting the golden rules. I like them. Hope you have a great day! I'm so proud of your dedication to exercise! All those minutes and crunches are adding up! You and Madcat are keeping my motivation and inspiration up to keep going.

I am feeling better but tonight I'm taking only half of the xanax med. I do sleep so much better while taking these but feel a little groggy and unblanaced when I get up.

Another co-worker called me last night and told me the same thing. Her brother is also a boss. She said he brother congraulated Tim but he didn't know anything about it. From her view point our plant manager turned in his notice. He's getting old enough to retire. The Mayor offered him a different posistion. He'll be over all three deparments. All I can say is Lord help us all. I want know for sure until I go back to work. I need to call Tim this afternoon to reassure my return on Monday. I'm going to tell him light duty for the first couple of weeks.

Back for a quick check in. DH was chatty this morning and being the polite wife that I am, I listened to him until it was time to get up and shower and get ready for work.

Ceejay - you know what you can handle, you just have to be up front to them at work because no one will look out for you like you will.

Shad - hoping you're enjoying some productive time at home. At least you're not away as much as you were the last time around. I'm sure Sunday the cat is happy.

Michelle - I can just picture you being all perky in step and Jazzersize class At my other gym up north there was one guy who had to be 70 who was just putting all the girls to shame in step class. He was really inspiring and I hear he would take the time to help you out AFTER class if you needed it but don't be messing with him while he was doing his program We have a Jazzercise at my gym too but like the Pilates, you have to pay extra for it and I'm just not in the shape yet to do that. I'm trying to work my way up to sunrise yoga at 5:30am on Tuesdays. How many days a week do you go and do you always do classes? Your back must be getting better and that's good news.

I have a kink in my hip/lower abs area that has kept me out of the gym this week. It's finally starting to feel a little less painful today. I think I'll rest it through the weekend and then back to the schedule on Monday. I have not done anywhere nearly as well as August.

Mel - enjoy that autumn day. I was watching the Weather Channel last night and they were talking about autumn coming to New England. Frost warnings for those hearty people on the Maine/Canadian border. And our Canadian sisters are sending you down some chill winds. Get those snuggles out. And I'm working on an email to you.

Shy - you are right. Lean Cuisines are good for portion control or in a pinch but much better to have the fresh, healthy stuff any day.

Annie - I'm sorry about Jeff. I can't comment because I don't know what really went on. I just suspect when he said that he wasn't looking for anyone it meant he was looking for very very casual like let's go out for a beer twice a year. Next time avoid cute. Cute is often more a hassle than it's worth. Goes to show you that even at 40, boys are still annoying.

Hi Happy --

This isn't really Jazzercise...It's more of a Jazz Dance class taught by a Dance Instructor. And she's very good and VERY patient. And the moves don't require much coordination....which is a plus for me! She's also incorporating some Zoomba moves, which is a cross between Middle Eastern and African dance. Very interesting and fun to learn.

I totally agree with you about Cute boys being more trouble than they are worth. When I first met my DH, he and I didn't fall in "lust at first sight". We were both kind of attracted to each other...but we took things very slowly and got to know each other really well and the love grew from that. Every time I've gone for "cute" or "gorgeous"...it's was a couple nice weeks and then....nuthin.

Same with us about taking it slow and getting to know each other. Except that at 22 future DH was very, very hot. Tall, dark hair, handsome and had that fun speech defect / umm I mean east coast accent on the other hand, I at 18, 3 months out of high school was the shy innocent flower ( )

Thank you guys....you do make me feel better about things. Happy...a shy innocent flower, what a hoot. I went to bed last night at 6:30 got up at 3:00 to take a whiz then went back to bed till 5:00. I am too old for this kind of guy stuff. It just hurts, thats all.

Anyway, I will do personals later when I quit boohooing all the time. I am an idiot.

Annie - glad to see that you are recovering. Yes it hurts, doesn't matter how old you are. But whatever doesn't kill you, makes you stronger right. Our Happy is a shy and innocent flower still! When you meet her, you will know what I mean.

Happy - Are you picking up that polite southern charm?? Politely listening to the DH! Hope you get back into the gym soon. I have to do something about the gym shortly. Believe it or not I had a letter yesterday from the old gym which stated my membership is due to run out on 25th September! and that as a valued member I would be very pleased to know that I 'could be in the draw' to win a scooter if I resigned and brought all my friends along. Well having left the gym in July since that is when I figured my membership had run out, and not may like the receptionist said it run out, what in that missif makes them think I would want to go back.

Michelle - nice to think you are getting on top of your projects. That's the way I like to see it. Always a triumph when one brings ones projects in, on time and in full.

Ceejay - hope you are feeling a bit better now. A couple of days off is just the thing to make one realise there is more to life than work.

Mel - there is now a direct flight from Brisbane to Karratha on Tuesdays. If you come through Brissie on your way to set up camp at Dampier, let me know. I'll bring some headache tablets and a sandwich for you while you wait for the connection.

So now I am off to sit outside in the warmth while I drink my coffee and cogitate on the day to come. Plenty to do. I need to finish off the housework this week so I can concentrate on the walls and bedroom painting next as the rest of the floor goes down on 29th. cya - to those I have missed
