Hi everybody! Can't get online much on weekends. I get the steps in by getting kids on the bus then while my baby is watching from the playpen (after she is changed and happy and has toys), I get about 20 mins on the treadmill. Then feed her breakfast, and start laundry and all the stuff here. Then when she naps after going to pick up my son who is in pre-k, I get back on for 20 mins or so. The rest come from daily work. Then the other kids come home at 4pm. And then we start homework and dinner and baths and all that. LOL! But hey, it's working! I'm steadily losing something. Wish it were more but oh well. It's something.

Ttyl! Hugs!

Wow - do I ever feel behind in things here but am sure glad you gals put up with me when I slack in posting [which seems to be a majority of the time. ]

I've done no real walking this week but have done well with my eating and also I've written down everything that I've eaten so this is a good thing, right?

Selina ... hey, I started out at 243 too! Don't know why but I think that's kinda cool!

Cheryl, you're doing great and it won't be any time at all and you'll be down there to in the 100's. Good for you! I can't wait till I get there too!

Jenny, now don't think I normally get up around 8:00 a.m. 'cuz most days it's after 9:00 before I wake up. *lol*

No, it's more like I get out of bed after 9:00 but as for waking up - that's a whole different story [I'm up and out of bed but usually not fully awake till atleast noon. :lo:]

Good job with the 25 minutes in exercise ... I know I need to make more time to do that but haven't as of yet.

Sirak ... good girl with the salads. That's something I think I should make an attempt to eat more of than I do.

I love them but lately I haven't found my way to that aisle in the store.

Good job with the 3 miles [Gee 'n here I was proud of myself for doing "1" mile.

I just realized that I have 2 more pages to go through so instead of going through one by one, I just want to say congratulations to those who've done such an awesome job at losing this week.

Way to go!!!

Tomorrow's Weigh-In Day!

Man, I hope that I've lost atleast something this week ...

Yesterday morning I couldn't help myself and I got on the scales and was down one pound.

Whether that pound still shows as being gone tomorrow a.m., we'll have to wait 'n see but I hope it is!

If so then I'll be down to 231 and that will be the lowest I've been in like 6-7 years. What a rush that was to see that on the scales!!

So ... the way I figure it, if for some reason it doesn't show as a loss tomorrow [you know how weight can fluctuate, etc.] - well, at least I will know that it'll soon be gone, right?!

Gonna get for now but will see you soon [hopefully tomorrow with good news to report. ]

Have a great Sunday!

Love,

Jennelle

sirak - I can so relate to grocery trips. I have a 6 month old and she's very demanding. When she wants something, she wants it right now.

karrier - how was WI?

Selena - You seem to break your steps up very well. I need to remember that just because I can't do it all at one time, that doesn't excuse me from doing anything at all. And you've steadily lost a LOT, don't knock yourself.

Jenelle - how exciting for you to be at your lowest point. I think I'm headed there myself next WI.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

Hi Gang,
I am starting to ramp up this weight-loss race again for myself, because before i know it, spring will be here and I will have wished that I had lost weight instead of just talking about it.

I have good news. I found a new job. It's not as much $$ as the last job but it's local, it doesn't require me to travel as much and I hope I get my life back with this job. I start a week from Tuesday. It is in my field and I'm starting to get excited about it. They hours are 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. That will be a little different for me as I am used to 8-5 but I'm looking at it this way, I can still get up like I"m used to and now get in the yoga that I want to start doing every day.

Ok, I need to go and do dishes and get ready to watch the Grammy's.

For the first time in a long time I worked out at the Y today. Trying to get my week of to a good start.

Susie ... congratulations on your new job!!

And ... good job with getting to the Y!

You're gonna be so proud of me!

Okay ... my sister run me to Walmart today 'cuz I had to get some groceries.

I did good with what I picked out, etc. [only sweet things I got was my fat free/sugar free pudding.]

BUT ... just as we were leaving, the last thing I had to get was my Boca veggie burgers.

As I got those and was walking down that isle to go to the checkout, I happened to glance over and ............ oh my!

There it was ...... Pumpkin Cheesecake.

Now ... I absolutely LOVE pumpkin pie and cheesecake is my favorite and I wanted that soooo bad but - I didn't buy it!

I looked and it was nearly 500 calories per serving [ouch!]

I put it back in the freezer and actually walked away [which - even 2 weeks ago would never have happened.

Needless to say - I am so proud of myself.

Love,

Jennelle

See ya tomorrow with hopefully good news from my weigh-in!

Karrier:
GREAT to hear about those two pounds! You are flying!!

Jennell:
That's is a HUGE victory over that cheesecake! Doesn't it feel great when you know you are being strong?

Susie:
So glad to hear that you got your job!

Selina:
Sounds from your hectic juggling of kids, events, work around the house, exercise that you can add a whole bunch of "calories out" to your list just by being YOU! GREAT JOB! Hope you are feeling better.

Sirak:
Having a toddler can be frustrating. My sons are 25 and 18 now, but both were VERY ACTIVE as toddlers! I thought I would have lost some weight just running after them and keeping them from harm, but instead I "calmed myself" with food. Also, neither slept the whole night through until they were four. I was sleeping in two-hour increments and would have MORE food to calm myself. Watch out for the eating to calm yourself food thing. It is really easy to fall into!

Good morning everyone,
This is my last week of luxury before I join the work force again. I have a lot I want to get done this week and I have scheduled some time in there to just hang out as well.

I have to take DH's car to the shop this morning, but I decided before I did that I would take a little me time and get my post in and start the day out on the right foot.

I'm really going to work on the food thing this week. I'm going to try not to have seconds or snacks and work on eating meals that will fuel me.

Also I'm really going to work on keeping my journal this week and I'm going to get in the habit of posting here in the morning so my journey will be on my mind all day.

Karrier: Congrats on the 2 lb loss. That takes major work to loose 2 lbs, so be proud of yourself.

Jennelle: I think it's great you passed up the pumpkin cheescake. You not only did that but you made a choice to based on the fact that you looked at the calories and counted what it would cost you and you choose not to get it based on that decision. I think it's important to celebrate those small victories. Good job!

Ok. I better get going so I can get this car thing taken care of and I want to get back home and do some laundrey and cleaning (read purging) of my spare bedroom and get it back in shape. I have job hunting materials all over the place in here.

Have a great ON PLAN day everyone!

In this corner

In this corner is Jennelle ... weighing in at 230 pounds!

Yes friends, I did it and was so shocked this morning when I weighed myself and was down another 2 pounds.

I never ever expected that ... honestly!

Okay, I did think [hope] that I would be down by one pound but never two and I am so happy!!

Thank God I didn't give in

Whew - I am so glad that I didn't give in yesterday and get that cheesecake.

I mean ... I'm sure that we've probably all done this one time or other ...

You are doing good and then have a weak spot, ya give in and it's time to get weighed the next day.

Then you weigh-in and find that you've lost a few pounds but your joy quickly turns to depression when you realize that -

you just blew it the day before and you know that it's gonna show up sooner or later and basically you've just undone what you had accomplished.

I've been there way to many times.

Karrier - good job with the losing 2 pounds. It feels great, doesn't it?!

Thanks to all for the congrats on yesterday's major success with the cheesecake thing.

Susie, I hope you have a good [and a productive] day!

Okay - I'm off here for now as I have many things to get done today.

Have a good day gals!

Love,

Jennelle

P.S. Just wondering if maybe we could all sign our posts with our first names at the bottom of them?

To me anyways - at times it feels a bit impersonal to call somebody by a user name and using first names just makes people seem more real or something.

I hope that made some kind of sense?

Hi fellow losers! I think signing with our first names and using them is great.

I am happy to say I lost 2 more pounds (and that's with PMS so hope I'm down more next week bc I feel bloated!). :

I am also very impressed by all of you who are really doing well with your food planning and extra movement that you get in your days!! I love it. That's the way to do it. More moving, eating better, drinking water, which I am glad to say I am drinking a bit more. I did notice when it was hotter here for about two days, I got plenty in. So I think for me, it's winter that makes it hard to drink lots.

One more pound and I'm down 50 again! Yay! I get to change my ticker, my chick avatar and add a cheerleader to the bottom!

I get a little depressed thinking that I had worked hard and gotten to this weight at least twice before. But I then think, well at least I am doing this again, instead of giving up. And at least I never gained it all back since my heaviest. Plus I was under huge amounts of stress that I won't have again (we won't have to buy a house at the same time we have a sick baby and all that.) So here's to coming back! At least we are all here, working for what we want.

Hope you all have a great day!!

Thanks Jennelle! The 50 is from my highest ever. I was about 243 when I started back this time. But I remember stopping myself from gaining back up to where I was. So since it was always on my mind, then I think it should be my highest weight on here. I'm determined not to get back there. Anyhoo, I'm down 15 lbs since starting after Christmas. No too bad considering that half of January was off plan. LOL.

I want under 200 so badly! It kills me. But it just keeps me very focused too. So I guess that's a good thing. After I hit 199, my goal is 177 for 100 pounds off. Then I am going to practice maintaining for at least 6 months, maybe a year. I need to know that I can maintain since I never have. I want to learn to still 'count' calories, etc. Just eat a little more. I don't know. It does scare me.

Well, gotta go, have a great day!!!!

Oh! I've lost 3 and 1/4 inches since last week! Half an inch off my thigh and hips, 1 inch off my chest and waist and 1/4 off my calf. Pretty good. I love measuring bc when I feel like I didn't lose enough, that's where I find the loss. It's where you've gained some muscle and lost inches of fat.
