Wow - where is everyone??? Come out, come out wherever you are and see the young lady....

So I am obviously at work today - but in even MORE pain than yesterday. Had some trouble sleeping as of course certain positions worked better than others. The hot shower really felt good - took 2 es tylenol when I woke up and just popped another 2 es advil right now!

This pain is really making me cranky and depressed (or I am just cranky and depressed anyways?). Got to speak to my manager (the one on language training and that I was replacing) - filled her in on all the gory details - like my staff person leaving, my database not working yet, and the in-fighting and scarcity of $$ here - I'm sure she can't wait to get back! Anyhow she did give me a little bit of advice so I am being pro-active in the HR search for a replacement.

My 11:30 mtg w/director postponed til later so I am getting my paperwork together - and this means I can actually go out for lunch with the gang! Altho I don't feel in a happy/out to lunch kind of a mood? I just had a banana and some water to ensure I am not STARVING when I get there! Hope there is something 'acceptable' I can eat!

I surely don't think I can go to the gym after work today again - and this is starting to make me panic (can you even imagine a frouf being panicked about lack of exercise?). I don't want to start slipping - maybe I can go for a walk around the neighborhood if I'm feeling a bit better tonight - at least I'll be moving?

I can't even carry my purse to lunch (I wear a shoulder bag and it ONLY works on my left shoulder)

Okay - looks like I started writing the above (before anyone got here ha ha ha)...then skipped out for lunch with hitting the post button!

Back from lunch - had the fajitas w/tortillas and all - four of them and you know what I don't feel stuffed? and I can't figure out why? It was a fun office lunch party (not just our general team but others as well). It is GORGEOUS out - just perfect weather - sunny, with a nice breeze not super hot and I figure I got around 20 mins of walking exercise there and back!

Sandra - hope everything is going well.

Melissa - I am sure you have sated your thirst by now? Keep on chugging (as they say - and I am still working on my first bottle!).

Kathy - wow on top of everything else you are a perm diva too - somehow doing that in the dead of the night without anyone knowing - you are truly amazing!

Well seems the 'scrunch' look works for you so I say use it whenever you need to!

I am supremely tired now and could sure use a nap! Nothing planned tonight so hopefully lots of time to relax!

Frouf

P.S. Kathy - found a good cruise deal for you!

Hi everyone, how's your day going? I just got back from working 3 hours at WW. I did retail today and yesterday, which I love. You get to talk to members in a relaxed way. Last night I worked a meeting, which was awful. The leader was a real "B" and had attitude. I was moving tables and chairs as well as weighing people and running around. I called my supervisor, and said that I can't do that any longer. I have a bad back, and lifting those scales is not for me. I didn't take a job as a mover.
A lady from head office called today and said some nice things, so now I feel better.

Frouf, you're right it's gorgeous out there. Sounds like you had a good lunch. Did you go to Dow's Lake? Should you see someone about your pain?

Kathy, I heard the basketball results, and of course thought about you. Like our hockey, second place ain't so bad.

Melissa, hope you're eating well. After all, you've got a good reason to be OP.

Sandra, roses, how sweet of you. But, of course you are a sweet woman. I hope when you read this, you're in the "pink".

I better have a bite to eat, cause the tummy's growling. I cooked dinner Monday, so I just have to re-heat. The kids are coming to share the bounty.

melissa, we didn't go to cb. it's on the other side of town. it was 1:30 by the time i got out of the hospital so we stopped at kfc. i'm counting pts today. i'll be all right op.

frouf, i hope you're feeling better. i'm starting to worry about you. have you been to a doctor?

frouf, everything came out all right. (pun intended)

saundra, i'm pink all over. lol now i'm wanting to get outside and do some weeding. it's a bit hot so i'm waiting till this evening. i hope you got everything ironed out at ww. we can't have them hurting your back. don't take anything off them. i'm glad you're standing up for yourself.

Sigh, I knew little dd (almost 3 years old) wasn't feeling well this morning. She has since developed a fever and she started throwing up about 1/2 hour ago. Sigh, again.

Thank goodness for TV, is all I have to say.

I am trying with my eating, but sick kids really stress me out. I'm making rice for dinner. I don't know what else I'll make, but I figured if anyone else was going to get sick, rice would be nice and mild. Thankfully, I have a nice stockpile of popsicles here, so we'll be fine.

Angela, I hope she feels better soon. There's nothing worse than being cooped up in the house (in pretty weather, when you'd rather be in the garden?) with a sick child. And no picnic for her either, to be sure.

I left work at 4 and went to Costco for work snacks, then the grocery store for our own stuff. Judd is home with a backache; says he's getting old. Yeah, at 37! Yesterday he had a rash and felt bad, so he stayed home, and today he went to work but left at noon with this backache. I got him some of those thermacare patches and he says they help.

I'm doing laundry tonight and people are eating whatever they can find. Judd popped a vein when he opened the fridge and there was a package of hotdogs that had been opened and left there (open). I went upstairs and asked Shaun if he had opened the hotdogs and he said yes. I told him for the 4,056th time that food + air = uneatable food. Sigh ...

There were a few that were salvageable so Judd had that for dinner with tater tots. I'm not eating because I'm too tired and had my lunch sorta late.

Tomorrow I will be counting points/calories and will do so for a while. Why? Just because.

Hey Chicks! I just wanted to say hello. I couldn't get on before my errands this morning and I've literally been running all day. We just finished dinner and I'm quite tired. I'll be back tomorrow. Tomorrow starts my house cleaning which I have to get done over the next 6 days. Busy, busy, busy. The weight should just be falling off.

I hope you're all well!

Hi, hope everyone is doing well. We were real busy yesterday, in the afternoon ds had a kindergarten show, they sang songs and one song made me cry, it was "Ready For The First Grade", then in the late afternoon ds had his bowling party they had pizza & icecream for the kids & they gave out trophies, they also gave the kids plastic bowling ball banks, which I thought was really cute, dd got a bank too. Then we went to Trader Joes and I got some groceries, I bought Roasted Edamame, which is roasted soybeans and they are very lightly salted, they are delicious, I feel like I am munching on nuts, yummy! Then we went to AppleBees for dinner to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary, not that Applebees is romantic or anything but with the kids it worked out great. I had steak no potatoes & broccoli which tasted like it had a buttery garlic sauce on it so I ate a few bites of the broccoli.
Today I went to WW for a weigh in, I lost 1.2 which I am very happy about considering I got TOM today and felt like I was retaining a ton of water. Then I went to Kohls and got my ds teacher & bus driver a gift since tommorow is last day of school. Then I had to take ds to the pediatricians, he has allergies that trigger a cough, so the doc put him on Nasonex and flovent so he is back on the inhaler and he somehow got poison ivy on his right forearm, this has not been a good year for my little guy

I called the nursery school today and let them know that the 8 am class would not work for me, so they are going to send me a application and if any pm classes open they will contact me, and at least I know about this school for when she turns 4 and before I sign her up I will go and see if I like the school. I teach her alot at home so even if she just went to pre-school that would be fine I am mainly doing this for socialization and seperation and kindergarten readiness.

Angela I feel for you, there is nothing worse then the stomach virus spreading throught The house, both of mine had the rodo virus in March(Yuck)

Saundra I am glad you spoke up for yourself, should not have to deal with that.

Frouf hope you are feeling better.

Sandra glad to hear the "c" is over.

I will check back later, I did some weeding and I trimmed back alot of shrubbery today and my arm is starting to hurt, going to take some motrin and Lie down a bit.

Good morning, Saundra! I'm here!

Not much going on today; I got to work a little later than I wanted to due to going to TWO different places for gas. Actually, I went to one and as I was pulling up to the pump, I looked across the street and it was 20 cents less! Of course, there were lines there but I went anyway and waited.

Tonight I'm really dreading that meat place. I just don't like that sort of eating at all and I know they're going to be upset with me. However, I don't think I care. They picked the place and I had no say in it. There's absolutely NOTHING there that's even remotely diet-friendly, unless of course, it's Atkins. I'm sure the meat is cooked in all sorts of butter and sauces. Oh well.

Other than that, it should be quiet here. I'll be back in a little while.

Sandra, it sounds like you came through the procedure easily. My doctor has suggested that I have one done, but so far have chickened out. Maybe you'll be my inspiration.

Angela, hope dd is feeling better. It's hard when a little one doesn't feel well. TLC is the best medicine.

Patti, we had rain during the night, but it promises to be sunny today. Just get that chocolate bar out of sight (if it's still there LOL). So many of our battles are with ourselves.

Howdy Kathy. Can't you ask them not to put anything on your steak. I'm a royal pain at restaurants, but at least I get something that I can eat.
I didn't realize that Judd is only 37. Holy cow, my Steve will be 39 in September. Is Shaun doing anything to get his room together yet?

Vickie, I've decided to have my cleaning lady come every second week, so that has lifted a lot of responsibility from my plate. Have you considered once a month? I know your standards are high, so don't wear yourself out today.

Niki, any activities for the kids during the summer? Happy anniverary to you and dh. You'll look back at the celebrations with your kids very fondly, I know I do.

Today, Adam and I are going to Cirque du Soleil at 4:00 and then out for dinner. We've been looking forward to it. Since the weekend looks good, we decided to go back to A Bay, on Friday and stay a couple of nights. They have a nice setting and pool, and it will be good to lounge out there. Lord knows, I'm spending a lot more than I'm making, but the season is short, and we might as well enjoy it.

I'm going to call the spa and see if I can go in for my manicure and pedicure (and bikini OUCH!).

Later,

Good morning saundra, I live in a lake community and in the summer we spend alot of time there and the kids love it,it is also very relaxing for me, I bring my chair and sit at the foot of the water and watch the kids play and I join them in the water when I get hot. I also bring them to Michaels Crafts & toys r us, they have activities & crafts for the children.

Good Morning Chicks! We are about to get a HUGE summer storm here. Lots of red and yellow on the doppler radar. I'm having my coffee and getting ready to start cleaning after breakfast. I really wanted to catch up but I don't think it's a great time to be on the computer so I'm going to log off.

My treat for cleaning both bathrooms today is to go out to dinner. I'm sure I'll be able to come back later this afternoon to visit. I usually need a break from hanging over those tubs with my fat tummy and short arms and legs (the whirlpool tub is quite high for me!).

I bought the most beautiful blueberries yesterday at Sam's Club. There are too many for me to eat in my morning cereal before they spoil so I'm going to make those muffins again. This time I am going to use vanilla instead of lemon pudding. I'm also going to cut back the 1/2 teaspoon of salt to a quarter since Jim said he could taste the salt in them. They also have baking powder so I'm not sure why they need salt anyway. I'm also going to use the half oat bran (which I finally found) and the half cornmeal. I'm expecting them to be yummy. Plus, anything that gets a few morsels of fruit into Jim's mouth is a GOOD thing.

Ok, here comes the thunder, lightening and downpour. I have to turn off the computer.
