Hey all, I'm still hanging in. We are supposed to get a lot of snow today, we'll see about that.

Vickie, thanks for the words of encouragement. You are an inspiration. I'm sorry the gynie was no help to you. Maybe, like Sandra said, a second opinion?

Kathy, I think your idea is great. And I wouldn't worry too much about breakfast. At least you ordered eggs and not a greasy sausage biscuit. Yum.

Angela, glad to hear that things are going well with DD. Good luck at the doctor.

Sandra, we need to live closer together, since we seem to be riding in the same boat.

Kim, don't beat yourself up. You're doing great! One day is just a blip on the screen.

Off to work.

Doing well - but can't take any credit for it!

I had periodontal surgery yesterday morning. I haven't felt like eating much of anything, and I can't have anything other than soft foods. So, its basically yogurt, oatmeal, and cottage cheese for me for a few days! It hurts to eat even that, so I'm only eating when I'm really hungry. I peeked at the scale and was down a few pounds this morning already.

And, I'm having another procdure on Monday afternoon that will require anesthesia - so nothing but clear liquids all day Monday, and I probably won't feel like eating much Monday evening. So, my Tuesday weigh-in will probably be fantastic. I guess the key is to stay on program next week so that I am able to at least maintain this ill-gotten loss I'll probably have.

Heck of way to get yourself to the next level, isn't it?

Hey, I say whatever works! I've heard people say they'd like to wire their jaws shut too, but since I've had a broken jaw and BTDT, I always assure them they would NOT like to lose weight that way. Talk about hungry!!

Feel better soon!

Just popped in to say Good Morning! No time for me to respond to posts. I've been very busy on the phone this morning with business and talking to the Niece. We are expecting a huge snow storm and aren't sure we'll be able to get out to go the wake this afternoon. That's how bad it's supposed to be here. It's always most horrible for us on the south side when the weather comes up from Texas. Thanks, Kath! They are predicting only 6 inches for us but they expect most to come down in the late afternoon hours at the rate of an inch an hour. That'll mess rush hour up and prevent them from being able to clean because everyone will be stuck on the roads. Sheesh. Jim just came home from filling up the snow blower. Now I need to make plans for dinner since we planned on going out to eat.

Talk to you all later.

Danny, hope you recover quickly. At least there's a positive side to things!

Vickie, I'm sorry that you probably won't be able to go to the wake. We are also expecting snow, but I think just around 4 inches. Either that or freezing rain. It has already been sleeting.

OK, I know you all are sick of me, but here's my plan: I'm going to start a core wendie plan tomorrow. I don't think I can do flex, I'm too used to core now. I like eating lots of meat and fruit and not counting them. So that's the plan. Tomorrow I will reset my tracker (however painfully) to tomorrow's weight and then start a wendie core week. Thanks for being patient with me.

Sandra! Your HAIR froze? Good Lord, girl! Go back in the dang house!!!

I broke my jaw in two places -- in the "hinge" and then in front, straight up and down in line with my chin. I also had 25 stitches but that's another story. Have you heard me talk about my blender experience? If not, here goes. About week 5 of the wiring I was sick of baby food and unset pudding and warmed up shakes. I couldn't drink cokes because of the fizz; I had to carry wirecutters everwhere with me in case I started choking. Anyway, the family went over to ex-MILs house after dinner and left me to clean up the kitchen. They had had KFC complete with chicken, mashed potatoes, biscuits and gravy ... and it sure looked good. I thought hmmm ... why couldn't I add a little of this, and a little of that, and some milk, and make myself sort of a pureed fried chicken/mashed potatoes/biscuits and gravy type of meal? Well, I'll tell you why not. Because that glom won't go thru your teeth. I spent 30 minutes in the bathroom with the waterpik trying to clean out the mess. It wasn't a pretty site.

Judd and I just went to Walmart to get the Angel tree stuff for work. While there, I got some pretty yarn and buttons for my little project. Now watch, it'll sit there forever because I'll move on to something else. I think I might be pseudo-bipolar ... or maybe adult ADD? I get distracted easily. Now what was I saying? Oh yeah ... the project. See, I'm supposed to be working on my parents' quilt but am I? Uh, no. Sorry, mom. Sorry, dad. You'll get your Christmas gift sometime in January.

Lunchtime! Melissa, I'm with you on the Core thing. I stray away then get reeled back in, always telling myself "eat the Core foods, dummy! It's stuff you like!" but ol' hardhead here just doesn't listen all that well.

Yeah, it's really bad here too. No freezing rain but no they are saying 6-7 inches by me. No wake for us tonight. We'll go to the funeral tomorrow.

Back to my bills and budget!

Hope you guys get home safely.

I'm back on track today. One thing that's going to be different this time....If I have a bad day, then that's what it will be....a bad day. It won't be a bad 3days or bad week. I'm going to lose it this time. I'm going to try to make it to the gym today for the 5:30 cardio pump class and abs. I had a light breakfast and I'll have a light post workout meal. Hopefully this will make up for yesterday.

Sandra-Maybe I should try flore too. I log everything into Fitday anyway. I seem to be addicted to keeping up with everything. I love that core is healthier though. A combination would probably fit me perfectly.
Angela-Hope your ear feels better.
Kathy-Your KFC story cracked me up.
Vicki-Stay warm and safe!
Danny-Hope you feel better soon.
Melissa-thank you for your kind words. You always make me feel better!
Frouf-One day your DD will appreciate you for the wonderul person you are.
