don't feel bad about the running man everytime i do them i have to go to the restroom because the running man make me empty my bladder and my feet have a hard time moving back and forth in sequence with a jump i just do knee lifts instead
@ enlightenme. The running is by far the hardest part of cardio 1 for me too...I have to put myself in a special state of mind! I don't think that looking at the clook will help, for me it does the contrary it seems like seconds are sooooo slow. I wish I could help but I guess it's just one one those things you just gotta get thru.
Congrats on your weight loss journey and welcome to this forum!
@ enlightenme I'm finishing phase 1 this week and didn't weight in yet. I didn't do the kick start and I follow my own diet plan (1200 calories a day) (cheated a bit on weekends). For me losing 20 pounds in first phase is impossible since it's the total weight I would like to loose. I guess that the 20 pounds is for people who follow the diet plan and have lots to loose. As for feeling thight, I experienced the same thing during the first 2 weeks of the program, I was tight in all my pants, but it slowly came back to normal. I'll weight in Monday, hoping i've lost something.
Concerning the running man... sorry didn't find any tricks just think about the "why" I guess it helps. Hang in there the running man is only twice a week (so 6 minutes a week) not that bad when you look at it this way!

I'm doing the kickstart program.. so it's runningman marathon! more like 24 minutes! but you're right... I'll have to think real hard as to the "why". I'm going to follow her eating plan for a month and see where it takes me!
Great that you've got 20lbs! You should be so proud. And I hope to be there in no time too, just so i can hit the maintenance phase for once in my life!! I know i'll get there too!
Day 5 and I took a sneak peek at the scale (I know i really shouldn't)
but I did lose 9 pounds! I'm happy, even if 5-6 pounds of that is prob glycogen depletion... And as i'm no longer sore, i feel much, much better
I've fallen off track a bit this week. I've followed the plan but missed two workouts this week. Today's eating wasn't exactly on plan but not bad. I'm going to do cardio tomorrow to try to make up for the missed workouts and keep my eating on plan tomorrow. I saw 122 on the scale earlier this week, which would be a total loss of 5 lbs in the first two weeks. We'll see what the scale officially says on Monday. It's been a long time since I've see that number.
I'm looking forward to the new workouts this week. I'm starting week 3 on Monday.
scifygirl- congrats on the loss!
enlightenme2- congrats on your loss, that's great!
What is everyone eating? I don't really care for the dinner options in the book. I think I'm going to switch it up this week.
