Default I knew it!

I knew that jerk Nick wouldn't show, I just knew it!

That last B.L. was so damn inspiring. I can't believe how good everyone (with the exception of a certain female lawyer) looked!

Now I'm going to be lost, what show am I going to watch???

What a show!!! DH and I started crying as soon as the eliminated people came out at the beginning.... We just kept exclaiming how great everyone looks...no wonder Nick didn't show up...I felt kinda bad for the chick who maintaned her loss from the ranch. In the real world losing 30 lbs is pretty impressive...but next to Pete? Woo hoo Pete!!!!!

I wanna know who decided that KFC should have ads for gloopy gravy covered chicken fried steak....so beyond disgusting looking. The Denny's ad of bacon and hash browns was nearly as ridiculous.....brings home Suzy's problem at the restaurant with her friends. It ain't so easy off the ranch...

Default Oh my...

I don't think there's a specific forum for what I noticed in Jillian's DVD the other night, so I thought, why not post it in Oz's "other thread"?

So there I was, proudly showing one of Jillian's DVD workouts to my BF, showing him how difficult the workouts are. I was pointing out the different people, and saying "That girl over there is doing the easy version, but most of the time she's doing the same thing that the other people are...doing..." and at that moment I suddenly noticed that the blonde man in the video was quite visibly...aroused. Right in the middle of all the exerising! I wasn't sure if it was just a "wardrobe malfunction" so I kept looking. My BF just kept saying "aw man, that's disgusting! turn this off!" hehehehe

I wonder how many other people who bought the video have/will notice this? Poor guy! *giggle*

Smile Oh my!!

Well Smartbutt this is the perfect thread for this kind of stuff.

What a find, not necessarily a good find though. Should I get the DVD anyway? Can you still focus on the workout??

Oh BTW I've been pretty sucky in all areas this week. Why do I continually fail?? Rhetorical question.

Oh well let's see what today brings me.

Thumbs up Well hello hello

Mel's here, yay it's nice to see you.

Things here move a lot slower than at BL, but there's always someone around if you need them.

Hello everyone,

Dare I jump into a group and anounce once again that I am going on a diet? LOL. Wish me luck ladies

I have a bit of a grump. I am a fast oxidizer but, I hate low carb! I also have IBS and cant do a bunch of veggies. I also have been diagnosed with PCOS and insulin resistance/pre diabetic. So, these conditions with the exception of the IBS indicate I should most likely do low carb, and Jillian's book agrees. What a dilemma.

Do any of you know what they really do on BL to get the numbers they do? I really want to know. Also, calories, what about the amount of calories? I am around 300lbs.

I don't know anything about IBS (or PCOS) - how come you can't eat veggies? There is a thread for people with PCOS. It's here Not that you aren't welcome here!!!

Have you read Winning by Losing already by Jillian Michaels? I'm thinking yes, because you already know you are a fast oxidizer - but Jillian gives a formula to figure out how many calories you should be taking in to lose weight in a healthy way. There are a lot of different places you can go besides the book to calculate what should work - I found apost with some links

Hi everyone! I didn't watch BL at the beginning and I keep hearing about this Nick character who didn't show up for the final episode. What happened to him? He seems to be unpopular judging from the boards. Just wondering! Thanks.

To answer the question on veggies. With IBS (irritable Bowel Syndrome) veggies cause problems, some more than others. With IBS insoluble fiber can cause diarrhea and IBS folks tend to have more problems with painful gas, we all know veggies are not gas friendly. I also cannot have a lot of high fiber foods, high fat, fructose coffee or carbonation. I just hate this disorder, I hate the word bowel! But, I also need desperately to get this weight off.

Can we choose to not see the annoying veggies dance? If so please tell me how to turn them off. Its very distracting to me.

Hey I LIVE For the dancing veggies/fruit! We tend to be a very smilie-oriented thread, so be prepared!

Have you ever consulted a professional dietician to create a diet that would include IBS-friendly veggies and other foods? I don't know much about IBS either, so I can't help there.

I know that Jillian says never to go under 1200 calories, but at the same time you may not need to go that low at all. If you run through your own personal calculations for her BMR and AMR, then figure out how to get a 3500 calorie deficit per week, that's a start.

My thought would be, if you truly can't stand (and your body can't stand) a very-low-carb diet, perhaps a balanced diet would be the answer - supplemented with tons of good exercise. But again, I'm not a doctor. I don't even play one on tv.

Nick is the guy who just didn't seem to get the point of being on the ranch...he even went so far that Jillian blew up at him in episode 3...a lot of people were annoyed that he wasted his time - and someone else could have learned a lot more in his spot at the ranch. Someone had to add drama...

You might be able to turn smilies off (maybe in User CP) if they are annoying...personally I use them a lot... sorry! Nothing personal..I am refraining for this one post. In your honor!
