30 minutes of Billy's Bootcamp!
Man are my arms sore today!
I am participating in Relay for Life this weekend. May get up to 6 miles in tonight! Hopefully that will help with some weight loss since I havent eated the best food the last few days.

Don't laugh...

I worked out to a bellydance DVD today. Not a particularly good one, but it was kind of fun. I got it from the library, and I think I'll keep using it until I find a better one.

i swum this morning, over half a mile ( lost count after 30 lengths). Did weights and cardio late yesterday afternoon, planning to get back to the gym this afternoon as well. I love Sundays, plenty of time to exercise!!!

Lots of housework today, that has to count for something. Also a 15 minute brisk walk, and I worked out to the same bellydance dvd. I'm checking out ebay for a better one now.

Bet-which one do you have?

I had a 2 hour belly dance troupe rehearsal last night. (For this coming weekend's performance!)

The one I got from the library is called "Bellydance For Wimps". The instructor isn't the most impressive, but the moves were pretty fun, and it was the best oblique workout I'd had in a long time! I'm not sure if I want a bellydance exercise video, or how to dance video. I'm watching a couple of Cory Zamora DVDs on ebay right now, and also a four pack of bellydance fitness with Rania. There's a Veena & Neena set that comes with a music cd and hip scarf I have my eye on, too.

The only problem is that my coordination is so bad that I can only do the moves standing still. Anything that calls for me moving in a circle or back and forth has me all over the apartment!

No-the bellydance for wimps is not a really great one to learn fromthe instructor isn't that good. The Cory Zamoras are "so-so". The Veena and Neena are okay for beginners-but I would only get the video-not the set with the scarf. You can get a better quality hip scarf from somewhere like Aliahs Closet, Moondance Bellydance, or Dahlal Internationale online.
Off topic-but if you are wanting an "exercise" dance video:
Veena and Neena series
Bellydance Fitness Fusion with Suhaila

If you are wanting beginner dance instruction:
Bellydance Magical Motion (by Atea)
Absolute Beginner Bellydance with Delilah
Ruby Jazayre videos

Thanks for the info

I'm afraid to put too much money into this in case it falls flat. Since I work at the library, I've been trying to convince the a/v selectors to buy some more bellydance videos, but so far I'm the only person who's expressed an interest. I might try the used video store, too.

As far as the rest of my exercise, my knees forced me to quit Couch-to-5k. The pain just kept getting worse instead of better. So, tonight I plan a long walk with handweights. If I'm lucky, my husband will bike along side me.

My knees were ultra sore today, so I didn't get to work out like I thought. I did take a 40 minute brisk walk at lunch time, and another 15 minute walk this evening, though.

I logged that into the President's Challenge, too. Hopefully that will motivate me to exercise like I should.

I did so well today!

I worked out 2 times at the gym- once this morning with a friend:

15 minutes recumbent bike
30 minutes treadmill
15 minutes weights (ab and adductor machine, bicep and tricep machine, lat pulls, chest press, rowing and shoulder press)

then again when I took my daughter to go to her kids finess class:

swimming, 20 minutes with my daughter (then we played with me holding her and swimming with her on my back and such )
45 minutes treadmill
15 minutes weights (rowing, ab machine, glute/hamstring machine)

Got up at 6 this morning, went to the gym and did weights for an hour, then swum for half an hour, now off to work. I have a gym at work and one of the gals wants me to go with her at lunch, so my exercise day isn't over yet!!!
