First things first: all newcomers!! Sending you hugs and good wishes

I posted this in another forum and it pretty much explains what I've been up to for the last couple days

Day Twenty of my Atkins Induction and today was also my weigh in. I lost another 3.5 lbs for the week I'm amazed!!

So that makes a total of 6 lbs. lost since I began weighing on Feb. 06. I've stayed faithful to Induction. Being prepared, a HUGE thing for me, has been the most difficult part.

In other news I adopted a rescue dog yesterday. I cringe at these stories...we actually have now 4 animals that came to us under the following circumstances: Our new little dog's owner died and the family just got rid of him. The rescue group took him from pound. He has an eye infection and I'm treating that until he can be seen by my vet tomorrow (she's off for the long weekend). But what a good little soul. I feel blessed he has found his way to our home.

We now have 3 cats and 4 dogs!!! And one slightly smaller person -lol!!

Hope it is a good week for everyone here

I know that if I want to reach my goal I have make the diet a lifestyle AND I have to get serious about exercise, but I SOOOO hate it. Any suggestions?
Get back on your plan that got you the 9 pound loss.

The upside is that you went the last week at the same weight.
So now you have your maintenance plan once you reach your
desired weight.

Looks like you don't have such dilemma after all.
Just get back on your plan, it's a lot harder to get
on a plan than it is to STAY on your plan.

Hey NoDak Cheryl, way to go girl, 11 pounds gone,
never to return. You and I started at about the same weight,
I was 335. Now I'm down 86 pounds and I can't begin
to describe how much more alive I feel. Being 6 foot 2, I don't
plan on dropping as low as you, but I'm looking for about a
35% weight loss. STICK WITH IT GIRL, You are doing great.

Way to go Susan, down 12 pounds of fatty fat, say goodbye
and good riddance and don't come back, Bye Bye fatty fat.

Way to go HY, be prepared for those impressive weight drops,
I had a 2 pound loss in just a couple of days. Be good and be
strong, it's a lot easier to stay on track than to get on track,
trust me, I know.

Welcome to all our new members and HI to all the regulars.
I'm back on track and still a couple weeks ahead of my goal.
I'm now down a pound under my pre cruise weight.

Keep up the good work everyone, I want to see those numbers
keep dropping.

Default YAY! Our Drill Sargeant's Back!!

Hi Reggie! Hi Chicks!

Glad to see our Rooster's back...For all you newbies, Reggie's our Number One motivator!

Also glad to see all the good reports on weight loss and/or no gains today! I'm holding off for a couple of days because I was abolutely TERRIBLE this past weekend

Just counting the days until I get my new Gazelle. I'm so anxious to get started with it, and from everything I've read it looks like people find good results and an easy time sticking with it. God, I hope so

Congrats on your new baby, HY! We have 2 tabbie cats and a 13 year old bishoodle.

Sorry, gang, I've been having a really strange day and just realized that I haven't even said good morning to you guys yet . . . soooo Good Morning, even though it is now 7 pm.

Jill -- One "whacky" in seven weeks is a "wow". If that is your worst slip you'll be at goal in no time.

Trinessa -- Welcome aboard. We all need support and this is a great place to get it.

Cheryl -- That's a great plan for dealing with next year's cookies. Surprisingly, Girl Guide cookies are one of the few calorie-filled goodies that I don't really like. I Know . . . be thankful for small mercies.

Curves -- We've missed you. You've taken a giant step forward by coming back. We are all here for you, girl.

Bobbi -- Love the jokes. Keep 'em coming.

Craftin -- We are still here. Welcome to the group. We all get scared. All you can do is your best and keep moving forward on the journey.

Surf -- Together we are all a little (no, make that, a lot) stronger. That's what is so great about being here together.

Susan -- You are doing great, kiddo. Keep up the good work.

Elyn -- See how you like this "new" math. If you usually gain 3 and you only gained 1 that has to mean you lost 2 and it will probably show up as soon as TOM leaves.

Freda -- Just keep up the good work. The pound has never learned how to read the calendar properly so sometimes he just isn't in sync with our hopes and plans.

Hy -- You are doing great and a great big for rescuing andother furry friend.

Reggie -- The hen house has been a little lonelier without you. Glad you're here to keep us in line. Your 86 pound loss is inspiring.

We'll see you all later . . . Have a great evening everybody.

Hi chickies -

I met an old friend today - that I had been avoiding. She asked me why I didn't attend her wedding. I simply told her that I had gained so much weight that I was embarrassed. I felt bad that I was so selfish, but I just couldn't face the group.

thanks for all the encxouragement girls - I need to stay connected.

Hey - does anyone know why my signature expired? I can't figure it out - I rely on this because I track everything here.

Thanks! I guess I'm not used to this coming easy (mentally) any more. It was like that when I first started WW and then I lost it after about a year. I just get scared that it will happen again and I want to lose this weight so badly. I just want to know what thin feels like...I've never had it! I have to be a bit more vigilant though. I've noticed that some of the low fat stuff I've been using does have sugar or high fructose corn syrup...I'm so happy to have lost that craving, I want to be sure to KEEP it gone!

A big to all the newbies.! Look forward to knowing you better.

Surfs....You need to make a new tracker. When 3fc went to the new server, the old tracker were no good.

Linda...Hope you are back on track tomorrow and not sleeping all day. Your body must need the rest.

Reggie...Thanks for the kind words, it keeps me motivated!! You are doing so well. Now to get motivated to get back on track to exercise everyday. I have slacked off this past week Guess I need a swift kick in the behind to get going again, but I promise, I will be back at it tomorrow morning. Might give me the energy boost I need

Have a good evening.

Oh Chicks.....I just can't get on the scale today. I know I haven't lost and I probably have gained....and I just can't face the disappointment in myself.

I'm hoping that when our Gazelle shows up on our door step it will spark a new motivation for me. I really do think it will, because I can't wait for it to arrive! When we had a similar exerciser years ago, HH used it everyday. I wasn't "in the zone" then, and I'm sooooooooooooo looking forward to planning our workouts together now. He's very excited about getting this...and the excitement is contagious for me, thank God!

Today I'm really going to concentrate on eating right. Yesterday I ate the right things, but probably too much of them. WHY DO WE DO THIS?????? It's so depressing.

Good Morning, gang . . . thought I'd try to get here a little earlier today. The sun is shining and the temperature is going up to a little below freezing.

Have to get a little "hustle in the bustle". Off to the store for me. My favourite (next to homemade) lentil soup is on sale for less than 1/2 price and I want to stock up for the rest of the winter -- however long that may be. Think I'll get my hair cut too. That usually makes me feel good.

You know, Jill, sometimes I think we have a subconscious fear of success (because it represents change?) and we just have to overcome it. Pick yourself up, girl. You know you can do it.

Have a great day, everybody. Keep on smiling and moving right along on the road to better health.

What happened was they changed the computer code for some of the
weight trackers.
Just click on the banner where it says expired and follow the prompts to get a new code to put in your signature.

Default hi

Hi Everyone, Tried to get here earlier but I had the grandkids all morning and doing anything is impossible. Hope every one is having a good day. The sun is shining here, making it look much warmer than it really is. I've been doing well with the eating plan, still have to do my exercise for today. I'm doing that as soon as I signe off. The kids are coming back this evening and the chance will be gone!

Hi, You lost 3.5 lb!!! That is so great! And BLESS you for rescueing your new friend. We have one that we rescued about 4 years ago and he is our BABY!

Reggie, Good to see you posting again and always an inspiration. You're right about it being easier to stay on tract than to get back on once you've fallen off!

Jill, I'm sure geting the Gazelle will be just the inspiration you need to get you motivated again!

Linda, Hope you got enough of your soup to last the rest of the winter, but hope that isn't too long! It's been cold too long! I want some warm weather. This, coming from a person that doesn't like the heat! It's just been such a long, cold winter. And doesn't a hair cut always make you feel better! Mine needs to be cut and colored! Got to get in soon before the roots remind me that I'm GREY now!

Surf, I can honestly say I know how you feel about not attending a function because of the weight. I can't tell you how many times i've done the same thing. I would have nothing to wear! That is the biggest incentive for me! Never again!

Craft, You really have to watch the low fat thigns. Just look at the total amount of calories. If you take out the fat you have to get the flavor from somewhere, and many companies just increase the sugar.

Cheryl, I know you will get back on tract! And the exercise does give you energy and it makes you feel so much better about yourself! And it doesn't take that much time. Schedule a time that is convient for you every day at the same time intill it becomes a habit. Dr. Phil and I exercise every day! I just know that when I turn the TV on to watch his show I have to be on the treadmill or the stepper!

Everyone have a good day, Freda

I've thought about that, but I dare not be so optimistic ~ afraid to be disappointed. Besides, at this age our body seems to behave very different from what is expected. So I'm good with just thinking that I've maintained.

Hy~ I'm so happy that you've found a new friend. It makes me cry when I hear about abandoned animals finally finding a good home. I wish there were more people like you. It's good we don't have so many abandoned animals in Denmark and they usually find a new home real fast.

Good night everyone~

Hello World . . .

This is not one of my better mornings. It is snowing and the is living in my digital scale. I must have tried 25 times to get a consistent number out of the stupid thing. It's all over the map -- everywhere from down 3 (don't I wish) to up 2 (I hope not). I've decided to settle on "stayed the same" which is still a little depressing since it was one of those "but I did everything right" kind of weeks. Oh well, this too will pass.

At least yesterday's soup shopping and hair cutting went well. So all is not a total disaster. Sometimes "onward and sideways" is the best we can get.

Here's wishing a great day for the rest of you.

Here is a tip from CalorieKing Diet Software re. getting accurate weight:

To get an accurate weight, weigh yourself three times and take the average. Standing on the scales at about the same position each time is a good idea too.

Hope it helps~
