Ugh..just woke up and I have to work today, we have to do 2 Saturdays a year, this is my second one. I'm in no mood. It's freezing, I wanted to take a long walk after work but I think it will be too cold.

My throat is really sore so my guess is running in this freezing weather would not be smart, I hate this I feel tied to the gym and their schedule. I guess I could go over there and do the elliptical or something.

Oh well enough whining, have a great day all.

Poor Frus, with no Caen. Hope you find something nice to do.

cherrycupcake - I keep meaning to go up there and never get round to it. I suspect tomorrow will be no different!

It's a lovely day for running today. It was frosty first thing, but there are lovely blue skies and the sun is actually quite strong. I did just under 15 miles this morning. After about 5 miles I really wanted to give up and go home, but I took an energy tablet and managed another 10 miles so there must be something good in them. I even managed one of the hills I hate most in the world after 10 miles without stopping, which I'm really proud of.

I want to pop into town later possibly, and I might go to the cinema or I might just see what's on my sky+ as the box is nearly full. I didn't eat popcorn in the end last night, although I did see to get through a fair amount of other stuff - carb loading is my excuse

Fingers crossed it's still nice and sunny by the time I've showered and changed and got back out there.

redsox - hope you feel better soon xx

Helen - good for you on the run! I hope these blue skies last until tomorrow. I will let you know what the Hebden Bridge FM is like. The only other one I've been to was in Wakefield and it was a bit poor. I hear the Leeds on is good, have you tried it?

I haven't actually tried that one either. I didn't even know it existed until quite recently, and can never remember when it's on. I must get round to dragging myself there sometime, although now my organic veggies get delivered and I've found some nice organic food shops that are there every day not just occasionally I've got most of my food needs sorted out!

Hello everyone

What a gorgeous day it is. I am having to use youngest son's pc as he has disconnected mine as his router is broke.

It is the most gorgeous day here too. I went to the gym this morning, popped to Marks to get a Lemon Torte and cream as we are going to a friend's house this evening.

My eating has been a little better I have to say. My new gym scales are showing me to be 60kg which I havent been able to convert yet but I think it is lighter than the nine stone 11 that mine make me. Its funny because my old gym's scales used to make me lighter too so maybe I am lighter wouldn't that be great.

House is quiet family all out. I am just about to get in the bath and relax for myself.

Hope your dad has fully recovered now Helen.

Gorgeous but bloody cold her today, I am fighting through mounds of washing at the moment, why oh why is it when you do bedding... there's always another six loads of normal washing that needs to be done as well? Just waiting on J getting home so as I can do all of his work clothes in the same load. He has uniforms now, rather smart for a mechanic, nice red shirts and blue hard wearing trousers...they stink of mechanicy smell though...

Am off out this afternoon with Hannah to the book store, will pre book the last Harry Potter book for her which comes out in July. And spend a gift card that I have on some new reading material. She'll make me spend a fortune on books for her as well, and then tell me next week that she's read them all

I am trying to convince Dave to polish the computer desk downstairs, he's had the area all mucky all week as the computer died, and we got a new one, so he's had three different computers going saving stuff and transferring from hard drive to hard drive...drives me nuts! And the dust does too...

Tomorrow I plan on getting off 'the island' Hannah and I are going shopping, we're trying a new town that we've not been to yet... I'll probably get lost...but we'll have fun together.

Eating is ok, not great but ok, will do loads of veg with dinner tonight though.

Hope everyone is well... ooooo, posties here, bringing bills no doubt. Have a good day all

Ooh, I'm feeling a bit rough now. It might be a good job I ran today as I'm not sure what I'll feel up to tomorrow. I've been suspecting there might be a sore throat on the way for a couple of days, and while I was in town this afternoon it seemed to become more pronounced. Now I'm feeling achey and weak, but I'm not sure whether that's because I'm ill or because I ran 15 miles and haven't eaten or rested enough this afternoon. I've eaten a fair amount, but maybe not enough given how many calories it burns off. I've just had something to eat (and some emergency Green and Blacks saved for moments like this ), so hopefully that will do the job and make me feel better. Tomorrow is a rest day (or about 4 miles recovery if I feel up to it) anyway, which I think is a good excuse to stay in bed recovering. I was going to go down to Dewsbury to cheer on people from running club in a 10k, but I think it will depend how I feel in the morning. I won't be going to the cinema tonight though.

CG... I'm in shock!!! Well done woman, I want pics when they're up, BB will be getting his level and tape measure out to make sure everythings even Bless... tell him he can't take to long, you want them up before you have to move again.

for Helen, hope you feel better, if you don't don't be running four miles when you wake up, take some honey and lemon and get back under that duvet luv.

Michelle, hope you've had a nice evening out with the lemon torte... I'm at the thought and I don't like citrus stuff.

Jen, shame about your travel plans not working out, glad you enjoyed the though.

RSG... hope you're feeling better too and staying warm, I am not liking this cold weather and I wish the wind would just stop blowing.

Got the YOU on a diet book today by Dr. Oz and have started reading it, quite interesting so far. They have a two week plan to follow, eating and exercise, but I've not got to that chapter as yet. Got some nice soppy romance mystery books as well and Hannah was pleased with her choices, she had a little moment of panic in the shop though, and wanted me to hurry up as she wanted to get back to the car....anyone know anything about agraphobia?

I've had the other half move furniture in my living room tonight, I'm very pleased with it now, although we couldn't get the telly to work from a different socket so the air was blue for a while... all calm again now though

dear God, now he's watching Planet of the Apes..... :help:

See you all tomorrow. Keep warm.

I'm feeling a bit better now, but it's all relative. I felt awful all night, I was literally waking up about every 3 minutes to cough or roll over because it was hurting to lie in a certain position or have a drink or a throat lozenge or go to the loo. At first I was shivering, then I got all hot and sweaty, and I've still got a bit of a headache. But I do feel a **** of a lot better, I'm not as achey and my throat feels less like sandpaper (although there still seems to be a bit of a cough). I'm not going to run today, don't worry. Fingers crossed if I rest today I'll feel better tomorrow.

At the moment my main decision is whether I force myself to leave the house to get a paper, cough medicine and chocolate, or whether I stay in and do without. I really don't want to go outside, but I think some medicine would be a good idea. It looks lovely out there again too, but I don't think I'll be enjoying it.

Take Helens description of how she feels and apply it to me. I'm only up now because I can't sleep from coughing. Of course I can't find a couch drop anywhere in this house. I may head out and get some in a few hours, the store is literally about 10 steps away, but right now 10 steps sounds far. My first thought was "oh I can't run, what about my 10k at the end of the month".

Usually I eat really well when I'm sick because I'm so not used to not exercising that I overcompensate for it which is good. I have some sorbet in the fridge that will be my treat for later.

Chris I have no idea about agoraphobia but a lot of my students suffer from anxiety disorders. There is a book I have by Lucinda Williams, I think its called From Panic to Power or something like that. I read it to understand where they were coming from and it really has some helpful information in it. It looks at the roots of anxiety and how to try and train your mind into allowing you to relax. If I remember right she is sort of anti-meds so if that is a route you are thinking of taking you may want to read it. I for one think meds are an absolute necessity for folks who need them. Before I started working in special ed I thought they were overdone but I now can see what they do for people and it's unreal. I have many students who can't function without them.

Well I'm off back to bed, I'll probably be chatty today since I'll be bored in the house all day. I do have a movie and a great book...has anyone read The Other Boelyn Girl? Someone from work gave it to me and its very entertaining.

RSG - hope you feel better soon. I'm improving fast thankfully, I made it to Tesco to get some medicine, a newspaper and some maya gold, and I'm feeling distinctly more alive now. I've read that book, but a while ago.

Hello everyone

Hope you are staying in today Helen and relaxing.

We had a lovely evening my friend's hubby did a bonfire burnt some trees that had blown down in the wind a god send for them really. We all were covered in ash but there is something distinctly mesmerising about flames we all sat around the fire eating and drinking it was just a really nice evening. Oh and that lemon torte was gorgeous. I drank two bottles of half sugar bacardi breezer and felt a bit tipsy. We got home about 12.30pm I went upstairs to take off my make up and brush my teeth came back down to find hubby flat out on the carpet in a drunken stupor I just left the big eejit and went to bed.

Don't know if I will gym today as I have lots to do indoors and have to go to my parents too. Feeling much better now and don't feel so out of control despite eating quite a bit last night.

Have a lovely restful Sunday everyone

Michele
