  • I love my shuffle. I just got a boring silver one though. I saw the coloured ones in an ad the other day I was livid. I want a colour one!
  • The coloured ones only came out on Jan 30th!!! Here's me all hip n trendy without realising it! And I've been converted to the ipods.... GAH! But they are SO [size="1"]tiny[/sinze] and cute and GREEN Mr Frus doesn't know yet - he doesn't want me wasting my money. Well I haven't wasted my money since I used a wedding gift voucher...

I'm waiting for him to ring, we're going to see Rockeeeeee tonight and I don't know if I'm meeting him at the cinema or at home Ah well never mind!

That yoghurt I spilt in the bin means that I have enough calories for a packet of maltesers YAY!
  • I felt so cool when I got my shuffle in the first week they came out. There was a huge scramble for them, and I just happened to be in London and popped into the Apple shop where they had a couple. They were going for stupid money online because of the novelty, so I wished I'd bought one to sell on ebay seconds after I left the shop. I saw the coloured ones in a shop on Saturday. They look nice, but I ought to wait for the one I have to break first. I can't really justify three ipods...

Just under 6 miles with running club tonight. I felt pretty rough in the first half, but I improved towards the end. Someone else from running club fancies doing both 10ks - even better there's a pizza express pretty close to the end of the second one that I might be able to lure her into...

Really tired so I think I'll be off to bed soon.

  • SNOW THERE'S SNOW!

I'm "working from home" I like my heating and my snuggly combats and fleece. :

I actually want to go out and run in it! But I will settle for going to Waitrose when it opens
  • There's no snow here. It's cold though. And snow probably wouldn't stop me getting to work anyway worse luck.

I've done some weights at the gym, now I just have to motivate myself to do some work. Could be tricky...
  • There's a teeny bit of snow here but it never lingers in London (well, not often). It is still coming down (it is that rain? can't tell the office windows are filthy). It only takes me minutes to get into work but I have told everyone of my struggle to trudge in this morning and how I was rescued by a St Bernard. Somehow they were unimpressed.....
  • Morning - I didn't think we were supposed to get much snow here - and there wasn't any at all when I left for my walk - just a hard frost which is great for walking on - but an hour and a quarter in to the middle of the Moor I started to get really cold and when I turned for home the sky in front of me was all black with ENORMOUS swirly clouds racing towards me - a couple of minutes later I couldn't see my hand in front of my face. VERY scary. I made the mistake of turning round to look behind me ... and got completely disorientated. Lucky for me the boys seemed to know their way home so I let them lead the way. There were a couple of turns where I thought they'd got it wrong but I followed them anyway and they got us here safe and sound - but very cold and wet through.
  • Good morning to you all.

Blimey Sarah that sounded a bit scary you could have been airlifted off those moors!!!

We have a pile of snow here in Herts. I woke for a wee about 5ish not sure (been trying to increase the amount of water I drink) looked out of the window and it just looked so beautiful. Youngest son stayed at his friends last night as they have no school today or tomorrow. He popped back this morning and said another mate had phoned them at 7am to say look outside and they promptly jumped up got dressed and had been out in it ever since.

He came back home for more clothes and I very kindly let him have my glovies since his are soaked. Doesn't bother him they are brown and pink stripes with a hint of sparkle!!

I've just had a bagel with a fried egg in it I'm stuffed now.

My father has finished his radiotherapy he looks very frail but he is in good form and even had a pint yesterday!!

Eldest fella's leg is much better still badly bruised and covered in stud marks but he went to training last night probably to show his mates his injuries.

I watched a programme last night about the race to zero a girl of five foot eight 10 stone 7lbs normal size girl bascially surviving on 500 cals and less for eight weeks. She didn't fare well it is quite scary what some girls will do on their quest for thiness. She didn't make size 0 but went down to nine stone 4
which must be thin for someone tall. She did this mad diet all through Christmas she said she would never ever have a skinny Christmas again.

    Stay safe and warm everyone

    Michele
  • WOW! I'm very impressed with Fred and George! They rock!

We've got TONS of snow, been to Waitrose and the roads are horrid and there's about 3 people shopping in there!

I'm downloading itunes which is rubbish with dial-up, but I think I need it to change my wma files to mp3s or whatever. I've managed to put some stuff on there via windows explorer but it seems to be still charging and apparently you have to "eject" the shuffle while you're in the itunes program So we'll see!
  • Oooh michelle - I read the article about that on BBC news. I wish I'd seen the program, but I can imagine! I thought she was a wee bit taller than 5'8" but I couldda been wrong! I think I'd look like or feel like a STICK at 10 and a half stone Never mind 9stone 4lbs!
  • Miche - sounds like your dad is on the mend. The pint will surely do him the world of good.

Sarah Ann- I am not surprised you were disorientated on the moors. I would be even on a fine day. I can get that way coming out of the shops - I can never remeember if I go left or right after that. Yes, I am one of those annoying people who come to a standstill when you are trying to get past! But not on the moors I can tell you. There is a distinct lack of them in Hammersmith for some reason. Now next time you omplain about George and co we will remind you what heroes there are!!!
  • Yes, I really scared myself this time! I just gave them a can of tuna as a thank you.

I don't understand what the big attraction is about being so thin and scrawny - IMO its really ugly. DH was telling me that he saw a bit of a TV programme last night in which they were discussing Victoria Beckham and it was said that recent pictures of her have been airbrushed to make her look BIGGER! Can't help but wonder if they realise what long term damage they're doing to their bodies.
  • Sarah this programme was on BBC3 I think there is to be another one on channel four at some point with Louise Rednapp taking part.
  • I have a feeling that all these actress and model types will all end up in wheelchairs cos their diet must be so poor and their bones crumbling.

Ballerinas too. My aunt knew a women who had been a dancer and even when she quit dancing she never learned to eat properly but lived on 'complan'.

Who wants to look like a scrawny turkey anyway?

The worst pic I ever saw was a photo of an old lady on a beach in Florida. The sort who can never be too tanned or too skinny. Wrinkled old leather!
  • I once got down to slightly under 8st 5 and I looked blummin awful. Thing is, you don't really see it yourself - its a bit like being very big - you look in the mirror and see what your brain tells you. I only woke up to what I was doing when the bloke I worked for asked me if I was trying to commit bizarre, very slow, suicide.
