I'm usually up late at night and I remember going in and raiding the kitchen and grabbing whatever snacks (or even cooking frozen food) and eating it all in one sitting, including a full-sugar soda. I had soda cans lining my dresser because I used to drink so much of it. I'm glad to say that I haven't had a full-on binge since I started dieting, and I don't plan on it either. If I slip-up and have a piece or a bite of food that I shouldn't have, I try to remember that everyone has slip-ups and it's not worth throwing my diet away for.

Argh ...... I am not doing well with this challenge at all. I don't know if it is the new exercise program and the "muscle water retention" or what. I am pretty much on plan, but I guess as long as its just "pretty much' and not totally then that is where my problem lies.

One of the Drs. I work with has started a weight lost challenge at work with staff in one of the units I work in. I signed up with a friend and I am hopeful that the accountability will be the boost I need. This challenge goes for 6 months ......

I am still aiming for Christmas .... but I don't think 30 pounds is realistic now ... just going to do the best I can.

I think the work challenge is a fantastic idea. Accountability is a huge motivator! Good luck to you on the challenge, I know you can do it!

I saw 150.4 on the scale today after work, I'm ecstatic! I started Atkins in the high 159's. This is my third week (one week in the middle was on OWL and I did not lose, then gained a little after Thanksgiving)

As of today:
SW 159.4
CW 150.2
GW 140

Today is the end of my first week on Induction after doing OWL for a week and Induction for a week prior to that.

I started the week in the high 154's, and a four pound loss is great to me. I knew it wouldn't be as extreme as my first week on induction (8 lbs lost, 2lbs gained back during OWL and Thanksgiving)

I set a goal at 149, but now that I think about it that was asking for a bit much, I was putting it for only a few days from today when I was 152.0. And the rest of you weigh in at the end of the week for your 'lose 3 lbs this week' goal.

I am definately happy with my weight though, only 10 more lbs! I inspect my body daily looking for cues on when I should stop losing weight. My fiance wants me to stop now but there's some tummy I'm trying to get rid of.

When you're "in" the thread that you want to subscribe ...

1. look at the upper section of the screen (almost under your login box) & you'll see 3 purple shaded boxes together: thread tools, search this thread, rate this thread) - click on "thread tools" ...

2. then, select "subscribe to this thread" from the drop down menu.

it's that easy

We'll I'm back, after a week or two of feeling funky and fat At my age, 48, I frequently have "invisible" TOM's (all the symptoms of PMSing) including bloating and weight gain. It's quite frustrating actually. Instead of the scale going Down Down Down it was going UP UP UP !
I went from 230 to 238 in 2 days! BUT now that things have settled down thankfully I got a nice whoosh. I am at 228.1 !!
So for all feeling discouraged just hang in there

islandchick, I'm sorry to hear about that! I would hate to have to deal with my period more than once a month.

And that's what I'm doing right now, I'm on new birth control and I've already had my period twice this month. I thought, 'oh well, just a bit of blood' but it's not just that because a bit of bloat came along with it and so did my irritable mood. I can only deal with being mean and cranky once a month, no more than that!

It is all weight i lost before and regained in the carb binge (frustrating) but hey, I feel good and I'm focused on the challenge goal. Looking forward, not back.

Be good today ladies!

Not doing very well...yesterday I ate nothing but a sausage egg mcmuffin without the bread and the topping off of a slice of pizza... . I'm not hungry due to nerves/excitement so I hope it dies down.
