Linsy - I play wow with my hubby! Enjoy Blizzcon, I am so jealous you're going!!!

Honestly, I would take a bunch of Atkins bars. They actually make some that are granola-like. You could also take the blue diamond seasoned almonds... those are really tasty. That and water and you should be good to go! Enjoy!!!

Good luck tomorrow everyone!!

Ooh, that's perfect! Nuts and Atkins bars...I don't know why I didn't think of that one. They're not really Induction friendly but way better for me than eating granola bars etc with the sugar.

I'm worried about not being able to get into Blizzcon because I don't have a government issued state ID or license...I turned 18 this year and don't drive yet and you have to have one to get in. The DMV can't control when I receive an ID after I go in (up to 60 days ) so tomorrow I have to call Blizzard support and ask them if I can use a birth certificate or something. Hopefully I can go, it would be a waste of money otherwise.

60 days for an id?! Here it takes two weeks to get mailed! That's nuts, I hope you find a solution because you seem so excited about it. I hate ID issues, I remember my best friend couldn't get into the bar on my birthday because her ID was expired, I hated leaving her behind.

The Atkins bars I think are partly why I stalled for the week I was on OWL, I only had three over the week though. I'm not going to buy them unless I'm desperate for a treat now, they don't work incorporated into my diet.

Feeling guilty...I just found out that I can't go to Blizzcon because of financial/transportation issues and I'm bummed...so I ate a slice of pizza (the crust and all) and several bites of spanish rice, big bites. I don't want to turn it into a huge binge so I'm trying really hard not to go in there and eat more. Emotional eating is my downfall.

Hiiiii :sheepish:

I've had a ridiculous week. Work has been crazy! And I don't know if it's going to get better anytime soon... AND, TOM was here, but I think he's gone now (I hope) so all combined, I didn't have a stellar week. I did get all my exercise and water in, but the food... not so much. But, the scale was nice enough to me despite the wine and nuts (which are not on my plan)!

10-16: 168.8
10-9: 172
10-2: 172.8
9-25: 174
9-18: 173

Not too shabby! Hope everyone else has a successful weigh-in!!

I'm sorry to hear that Linsy, but I am glad that you had the sense to stop eating at the point you did and that you did not let it turn into a binge.

Thanksgiving on Sunday I did NOT follow Atkins, I said I'd give myself one day. Monday I spent the whole day with friends and all they had was granola bars and chips to eat. Tuesday I followed plan but had a bite of frozen yogurt because I wanted to taste it one more time before I went back onto Induction. I went up to the high 154's.

It's Friday and I'm back down to 152.0 from following the diet carefully, my weigh in day is Tuesday for this thread, I hope I have some good news for you guys

Well...I exercised this week, tried to stay within my 20 carbs - but still gained this week - not much considering TOM's visiting this week, so hopefully next week I'll see a loss

Here's my stats:
Challenge SW: 234.5 lbs
Last Week's Weigh-In: 223.1 lbs
Today's CW: 223.3 lbs (+0.2 lbs from last week)
Total loss to-date: 11.2 lbs
30 lb GW: 204.5

Have a great week-end everyone!!!

Down 2 pounds this week, at 262. I don't want that pizza and rice to catch up to me...this morning I was upset about something else and drank orange juice (like three drinks but still.) Why do I do that? Argh. Anyway, I'm happy about my loss and I'm going to try to cut the emotional eating. At least I'm controlling myself and not doing what I want to do...which is binge on the biscuits and gravy sitting in the kitchen right now. I think since I got a taste of bad carbs last night it's making my body want more and I need to try to break it again.

Congrats and good luck on all of your losses everyone

Default It must be something in the water...

What is it? Some of the Challenge Buddies were struggling last week, me included. And last night I went nuts and drank a beer - I didn't mess around with low-carb, went directly to Red Stripe- and started on a dark chocolate bar after lunch and finished it around midnight. Yikes!

This morning I weighed in with a 1.5 pound loss, not as bad as I though it might be. I binged on pumpkin last week; I can't make Glamazon's recipe again until Thanksgiving! Even artificial sweetended desserts trigger my sweet tooth in a big way.

I'm going to work hard this week to make it 100% - including the nasty water - and go for 3 pounds. Here's a big sprinkle for all of us

Fatmac, have you tried not buying foods that trigger binges?

Clean out your fridge and pantry of foods you don't want to eat and don't buy any more? Anyone at your house who has to have the things that are problems for you has to go get them all by himself (or herself); don't even ride along. No one NEEDS ice cream, chips, sodas, candy, white flour products, bakery fat/sugar bombs, and similar evils at the ready.

Carbs are contagious!

Maybe this isn't the case for you, but I find it's so much easier when it's just not available. I wish you every success in beating the binge. We're going to have a great 100% week.
