I love these smilies. Always fun to read a reply with smilies.

Ok Sarah peely-wally is pale ,ill looking. I know she doesn't eat well up there. She bought vitamins , cereal, dark chocolate and slim fast drinks. All good for us heavier girls but she's tiny and does not need to lose weight. I told her to eat well.We pay for her room and board she's on a meal plan so there is choice.

Poms are the things the cheerleaders hold and shake these things. BUT she's not doing cheerleading. It's a dance thing with the poms.

Will power dust send it my way.

Helen! WELL DONE INDEEDY MISS SUPER-SPEEDY

Re: bike I am picking it up on Saturday

Re: pigging out I did it all weekend too! I'm so dissapointed with myself. *huff*

What happened was on Friday morning I woke up with a midgy bite on my knee, which was odd since I usually get them in batches of about 5 or 6 or whatever. Then by lunch it was the size of a 50p, then it was about the circumference of a satsuma by bedtime and then it was the size of a saucer the time I woke up on Saturday! It was really sore and horrid looking and red and hot and throbbing! So I took it to the walk-in clinic and they popped it for me and gave me antibiotics and a tetanus So now I have a sore knee, and a sore arm So I couldn't go to the gym if I wanted to! I wouldn't want to press anything in case I dropped them on my face with my gammy arm, and I can't do any stupid cardio since it hurts to move my knee... And what's more I STILL don't know what did it - could've been something bit me on Thursday night, or a stray wasp stung me without me realising or I have no idea! - Chris did that programme say anything about bed-bug bites?

So anyway, we had lunch out on Saturday, then we went to a friend's house and had chinese and cake. Then on Sunday we had a stupendous lie-in and I baked rye flour scones with cranberries in, then we had a pizza for tea and I raided the fridge for chocolate, Schloer, grapes and cherries and chocolate covered cookies.

Today I'd like to go face down in chocolate too but I suppose I'd better stop somewhere!

Oh and on the bus back home on Saturday night some dude got his face punched in by a gang of lads. They were all caught on CCTV but the dude with the smashed face just walked home and said forget about it. This was after I'd called an ambulance and the police I would say it was a provoked attack since after he'd stopped bleeding everywhere he saw some black guys on the bus and said, "There's still two spades up there..." and promptly got back on the bus to go sort em out... My sympathy for him dried up at that point.

It's been quite an eventful weekend! Oh and we are without hot water It was off all day yesterday but came back on last night. So I washed my hair this morning but as soon as I'd lathered up with shampoo it went freezing cold again! So I had to boil the kettle to rinse...

So I hope today's better than the weekend's been.

I want my duvet

OOh Frus! Nothing worse than no hot water!

I had a good weekend. Went to a matinee at the theatre to see Cymbeline (Shakespeare). Really very good. There was music in it. It was q modern variation. I explained this to people at my bookclub. In it there is the usual romantic misunderstanding (Cymbeline NOT the book club!!!) and there is a bet over a girl gigving up her lover's watch to another guy (i.e. having sex with and giving him the watch). One of the bookclub ladies who is not the brightest button said "I thought they did not have watches in Shakespeare's time". I said they did not have Ferrari's either but that came up in the conversation. I had already explained it was a modern version. DUH!

I did rather pig out at book club and had some chocolate - choc cherry liquers but it was plain chocolate - I am only avoiding milk as that just slips down and is therefore more dangerous! I also drank G&T's which I haven't for ages. Not expecting a halo when I weigh myself this week!!! I also had a load of bread which I had nto had for a while (it was gorgeous!) soe bakewell tarts (removed the glace cherries|!) oh and big trouble - some tablet (you know the scottish stuff though this was from Cornwall. I love it!

BIG to Frus - you're better off in bed! Strange about that bite - its the wrong time of the year for insect bites.... isn't it?? I did see some midges around some boggy bits of the Moor about a week ago but its cooled down since then.

Well.... Nigella's bread sauce flavoured potato gratin smelled nicer than it tasted. The Sainsbury low fat cream was okay - but I spent maybe an hour faffing around with a dish which turned out tasting very bland. The lemon chicken, however, was totally delish.... AND we've got leftovers tonight! Think I'll do bubble & squeak with it.

CG - Peely-wally - I must remember that one! Is it American or Scottish? Did your daughter say she felt under the weather?

I'm quite looking forward to my first training shift this afternoon. I start my regular shift pattern next Monday - its only Monday mornings, all day Tuesday and Friday afternoons plus one Saturday morning in every four. I've decided to slowly sell off the remainder of my eBay stock and put the money to one side so that if I can afford to start again if I want to.

Morning .

I had my official weigh in today for the easter challenge and lo and behold, I have lost! I'm down 2.4 lbs from last week, now lets see if I can lose again this week .

I had the best weekend eating in ages. No chips, crackers, salty snacks. I had proper breakfasts both days and on Saturday I made a spinach omelette out of 1 egg and 3 egg whites. I've been visiting the lovely Krista Smash at stumptous again and got a lot of inspiration from her "how to eat" pages. My calories came in at around 1500 for both days so I'm well pleased.

This morning I was running late to the gym (forgot my shirt, had to drive back to the house ), which meant I got into the changing rooms a few minutes later than usual, I had to wait for a shower! There was a line, I was gobsmacked. I didn't know what to do with myself, there I was all sweaty and red faced so I refilled my water bottle, took a chair in the locker room and waited my turn . Luckily I didn't have to wait too long. Gym was packed this morning though, looks like all the christmas sinners have finally gotten their guilt trip.

Husband goes to Colorado today until Wednesday night then comes back for two days and flies to Japan on Saturday for two weeks. So I will be on my todd pretty much until Feb 10th. I will miss him but the thought of a bed to myself, less mess to tidy up, etc. is making the wicked part of me grin with glee .

CG - the scales are the debil .

Frus - blimey you've had a heck of a weekend. I once got bitten by a spider on my elbow and it swelled up pretty much how you described your knee. I didn't go to the doctor though, thought I could self medicate, silly me. I feel your pain, all mine did was itch and throb!

Lou - hope you get your water back soon.

Sarah - Oooh, Nigella, my biggest not so guilty pleasure. I have all her books but daren't even look at them now - I probably would put on 5 lbs .

Sorry if I've missed anyone, happy Monday to you all.

Ahh Ladies that responded to me. Just had to tell you I am back from London and we had a fabulus time. Thanks for your tidbits of info. I tried to do them all. Had a cuppa at Fortum and Mason ouch was expensive. I love their window dressings so great! Took a couple of tours out into the countryside. You have a wonderful country and was so thankful for your advice.
Cheers!

Well that was a waste of time. Basically I've to continue with what I've been doing. I'm not a candidate for surgery but I could have flare-ups with the same symptons. Carry on with what I've been doing the symptons might get better. He was a bit "wet". Know what I mean.

The good thing was I got to Trader Joes and we had lunch at an Indian.
