jennylou, family visits can inspire old habits...don't worry, next week you'll lose that and more.
I'm having a good week. Today I went back and got my haircut FIXED...what I hate most about a do-over is I don't have alot of time to be sittin' in a chair!
Anyway. Tomorrow morning is my first all alone 5K. My strategy: FINISH the race! walk or run, it doesn't matter, just want to finish.
Off to finish my accounting homework, last one for the semester. All I have left this semester are accounting final and logistics final. All....yeah, right...
Happy Saturday night! choosie.
OH! I posted my loss for the week, down .7! That's fine with me, it's in the right direction. I'm praying daily for consistency and peace, and it seems to be working. xo
I dont know where it came from or what happened but all the sudden I HAD TO EAT.... it was almost a panic moment like all the sudden my little devil on my shoulder was like FIND SOMETHING TO EAT NOW..... THEN ORDER PIZZA AND EAT THAT TOO....THEN GO GET ICE CREAM... I mean come on!!!
I was on a mission to sabotage myself.... no one was here... no one was telling me lets go out to eat.... IT WAS ME!!
so I thought about it......HARD....and thought I can work it off....and started deciding what pizza I wanted and where I was going to get ice cream from
then.......
I went to my freezer and got a 3 pt smart ones meal... popped it in the microwave....walked away and put some laundry away.... came back.... ate....was still hungry.... had a slice of bread....which by the way sara lee delightful honey wheat bread is only..1 pt for 2 pieces of bread....so i had a piece of bread and butter (country crock light)..... and that was it....
I walked away after that and didnt WANT anything else...
I BEAT MYSELF!!!!!! I BEAT MY OWN ENEMY!!!!!
I feel awesome.... IN FACT... I started thinking.....i can work this off.... JUST like I thought about the HUGE PIZZA I was about to eat.....
I did it........... and I'll do it again..... I WILL BEAT THIS EMOTIONAL ATTACHMENT I HAVE WITH FOOD.....
Just checking in...no formal exercise today (thought I might still go for a walk)- but still a very active day. In fact I just got done giving all 4 kids haircuts and showers and getting everything picked up and cleaned up- sheesh might as well be called a workout!
Eating was good, water was good...just that exercise eluded me. Overall though I have to say I'm happy with myself for the week. Feels good to be back in the groove.
stilllovecartoons- WTG!! that is a huge victory! You must be so proud of yourself.
I need to go get a few more things done before I fall asleep thinking about it...
I'll have to be breif because Daniel is giving me the look like "I need food.... Michelle fix food now!"
I was looking through the weigh in thread and it looks like about half the team hasn't weighed in for this week. I sent out my friendly reminders this morning so just make sure you weigh in by 10 pm EST tomorrow.
The water challenge is going great! I'll have my contribution in a few hours to push us into the next bucket.
No big plans today other than to catch up on business schoolwork for tomorrow night. I may go for a walk if the wind lets up in Yorktown.
We finally booked our honeymoon to Nashville and Daniel is very excited! I think his parents are coming over later to talk about it. I'm ready for a week from work!
Well need to update my food diary on weightwatchers and get to cooking some pancakes!
Later taters!
PS: Congrats to all those beating up those food enemies!
Finally a break from studying. Oy! I can tell that I've been couch bound studying for my midterm because I'm up in pounds again. But I've planned out my week food wise so no more spur of the moment meals.
Everyone is doing so well and I'm so proud of all of you. I know how awesome it feels to lose weight.
I'm down only 1 LB putting back to my starting weight. I guess something is better than nothing. I'm a bit surprised being that this was a B-day celebration weekend packed full of Taco's, greasy cheese burgers and cake.
Not doing so well on the water, but I'll do better this week and also getting back to my workouts. I feel so yucky if I don't workout like I am suposed to.
stilllovecartoons~ congrats on NSV!!! candlemaker WOOHOO!! your down 2.6 pounds Diva congrats on the pound and getting back to staerting weight ...looks like you and I are in the same boat! jelynn 5.2 ponds WOW that is awsome!!!!
Well we made it to the homw improvement store today to look at the bathroom stuff (hope to redo it this summer). So that means I got a 2hour walk in plus the stroll in the store for about an 2 hours. I was also pushing a doubble stroller with 60 pounds worth of little kids...lol
Hi All
Hope you had a great weekend. I'm throughly enjoying my extra dairy exchange I got added to my plan on Friday! Any extra food is good.. can you say cheese on everything!!
Our house is under renos so I'll be a bit limited computer wise but I'm thinking of and cheering you all on!
I'll be weighing in tomorrow and posting.. see how many calories painting a deck and kitchen can burn off!
candle! 2.6 pounds is fantastic, conggggrrrrratulations!
I cooked salmon 3 ways tonight, with teriyaki, mustard sauce, and "salmon seasoning" and boy was it a hit. I also made fresh asparagus (asparagus pee!), white rice (for hub), roasted tomatoes and onions and also oven roasted sweet potato fries. Hub and I like different things, but I find if I put it out there he'll at least try it.
OK....I am reporting a MAJOR success with my 5K...I "ran" (shuffle/jogged) the whole way! I was behind the fast walkers, in front of the slow walkers and so crossed the finish line all alone. I kept yelling "YAY I ran the whole way!" People were clapping and laughing and high-5ing me...it was such an uplifting experience.
I listened to Martha Beck on my run, so I didn't rush and get out of breath. The best times were around 20 minutes and under. I did 50 minutes and still, I ROCKED. I have to tell you I'm so so happy.
OK. Great way to start a new week. I wish you something inspiring this week, too. xoxooxxo choosie.

WTG on the 5k choosey! How do ya make the oven roasted sweet potato fries? Sounds pretty good. Do ya do anything special to them?
Hey, Diva..I just cut the sweet potatos up in slices (I like the skins left on), put in a foil lined pan (easy clean up), dribble with olive or canola oil, flip after about 10 minutes and that is it. I'm a minimalist in the kitchen (= not a very adventurous cook), so I like simple stuff that comes out well every time. The tomatoes are done the same way...and they are soooo good.
Off to bed. I feel excited and happy to be in this group.
Hope you all had a fantastic weekend. I was so busy with the boys and family I didn't get a chance to check in. Happy to report I'm down another 2 pounds this week!!!
Choosewell, congrats on the 5K. I did one last weekend and it kickstarted the walking bug in me! I've been on fire all week! I wish I could do one every week and have everyone cheer me on!! We found a great walking trail by the lake near my in-laws and burned some calories on Saturday evening. I made AMAZING fajitas on the bar-b-q on Saturday. Probably the best I've ever had (restaurants included) and they are low fat to boot! I will post the recipe if anyone is interested.
