Justb: For actual weight gain/loss I'm pretty sure eating at night should have no actual affect.

If you weigh in in the morning sodium you ate the night before might cause water retention so the scale might jump up a bit but eating at night won't cause you to not lose weight in the long run.

I think eating at night can be unhelpful for two reasons: 1. you need energy during the day, so waiting to eat at night can mean a day of feeling hungrier than necessary. 2. Eating at night can be a trigger for some people to over eat. But if you stay on plan at night, by all means eat when it works for you.

RadioJane: I believe the whoosh fairy will come! But probably not until Tom goes away.

I'll need to get a woosh for the 5 pounds of water I put on yesterday.

BUT: I was able to buy a shirt at a "normal" store yesteday, (just a discount place that carried some plus stuff), and it fits beautiful and accentuates my very very narrow ribcage. So stuck or not, I've got some visual confirmation!

Not sure what is going on with me but I'm back up to 327. On Saturday I'm meeting with a health and wellness coach, I'm hoping she can get me on track. I'm so ready for this but feeling stuck.

Skin tags, yes I have them in my arm pits and I hate them. I have a couple around my eyes, I was told those are from high cholesterol.

So more exercise and better eating. I missed my wednesday workout and my back is sore today but I think my workout tonight will help that.

Awesome job former! I cheated on my scale break and did my weigh in today anyway. 305! I'm so close to being out. Weight loss has really slowed since I'm majorly stressed with finals coming up, but I've been 100% on plan. Except I said I was going to start exercising annnnnnnd I haven't :I

Alright Sunday!

I've been having lots of social meetings out where there is food and have had a hard time estimating calories. I'm not gaining but I'm not losing either.

Time to get back on track and really try to stick with foods I cook myself so I know how many calories i'm consuming.

Hoping for a small loss this week but we'll see - time to make better choices and stay on plan!

Also - I don't think skin tags are from high cholesterol because my doctors say I have awesome cholesterol and I have some skin tags.

I've never had skin tags before so not much I can say about that :/

Always great to hear of someone who was over 300 and defeated it. I love hearing those stories even if they make me jealous . I am still working on the recommitting process but I'll never give up, even if I only lose a few lbs a month it's gotten me this far. I've been enjoying a nice break though, where I haven't gained but haven't lost. I've just been in limbo. I guess I have a hard time finding the balance between cooking (and good tasting) healthy foods for myself and cooking foods my husband will like :P. Today I made chicken alfredo with angel hair pasta and strawberry margaritas from scratch. He really liked that but of course I joined in cause yeah of course it was good. I subbed milk for cream, it's got to count for something! I keep using the excuse about work stressing me out and I feel that's really thrown me off track, and it's something I need to get over, but I've worked lots of OT and every other weekend for a looooooong time. Despite doing lots of voluntary OT to help out, it's "My Turn" on the mandatory list to come in on my day off tomorrow at 3 am, it's like I can't catch a single break. I am BURNED OUT. I'll end that rant now, the point being I'm pretty much the queen of excuses so I'm learning to deal with them to achieve my goals.

I weigh in tomorrow. I am nervous. I hope I have a loss. I am going to trt to only on my weigh in day. The scale tends to make or break my day. I am sticking to my points and calories. I know that if I am doing what I should then the weight has to leave. I am so glad to have the support from everyone here. I love reading about everyones successesand struggles. It makes me feel less alone in this battle!

Jolly - hang in there! Keep weighing, keep posting. Not gaining is still SO much better than gaining even a little. Try another small thing to boost your weight loss like drinking more water. Your motivation will find you.

Just B - Can't wait to hear the good news!

On the good news front I broke out of the 300's today and on my official weigh in day. I'm sure I'll bounce around a bit this next week but hopefully it's here to stay!

I'm a long way from getting out of the 300s (but I'll get there!). I thought this might be a good place to ask a question though as there is never a lot of action on the 300+ group.

Today, I found myself wondering why I did not lose more at my last weigh-in. I eat great at my planned meals. Of course, as I was pondering this, I was grazing on my kids' unwanted sandwich crust---tend to graze in between meals. I'm know that adds up. Has anyone else had and overcome this problem? I'd love some ideas to help avoid the thoughtless snacking....
