I think it's a pretty bitter tea. I don't know if you can add honey or stevia or something to make it taste better. But it's a potent diuertic I understand.

I am like on the threshold of a binge. I have eaten so little this weekend with the a cold bug, and today being at home for my day off stuck in with the snow... it's like torture trying not to eat cause I'm bored. I'm about ready to head upstairs for the night and park it away from the kitchen, just me the TV and my bike. I already had a skinny cow and a smart one sundae today And a 100 calorie popcorn. I guess those are my new versions of "junk" and they were within my points, but still. I want to eat healthier.

One thing I do when I start hearing the "must eat now!" voices in my head is to go to sleep early. I drink some water and sometimes take some melatonin and get in bed. I tell myself I have a clean slate for calories as soon as I wake up.

It also helps me get more rest which is good for weight loss.

Hi all. Thanks so much for the kind words and encouragement. Even though this water weight isn't falling off as fast as I want it to (why doesn't it appear one day and take a week -- or two or three -- to get off), I am determined to make it happen. I've always just given up before, but knowing I'm not alone has provided the support I need. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. Hugs to all of you.

I met with my trainer today. Her scale said I was 326lb . But it was just after lunch. My back is on the mend. I met her one more time this week to go over my program and then start 3 evenings a week next week. I can't wait to get started. I still haven't started walking. My back sure messed up my week and my foot pain. I hope I get this figured out.

Well the scale read 321 this morning so I'm happy about that. I'm looking forward to getting out of the 300's.

Betsy - You've lost 35 pounds and if you keep going it'll be no time before you've lost 35 more. And THAT will be 70lbs! Won't that be fun to say?!

Snowbound
- I remember you from the last time I was here. We're pretty close on weight so lets try to get to Onederland together!

Ugh. March is shaping up to be as bad as February was! I'm down a whopping two pounds since the first of the month and I've got nothing but travel and more missed gym days ahead of me! Gah!

I'm chuckling because losing 35 pounds is great......except for the part where I gained the 10 pounds in one week. I realized that when my ticker goes down, it's the first thing I change when I log on even if it's only a pound. But when it went up.......well, I just told myself that it was water weight and it wouldn't take that long to get off. It's sticking like glue, but I'm determined to end the month with a weight loss from where I started the month. I began the month at 361, am currently at 368 but am determined to be in the 350s (even if it's 359) by April 1. Hope this isn't a plateau already -- not ready to deal with one yet!

Radiojane - you are down two more pound! That's great! Every step down, even slow steps, are getting you closer to the goal. Also I believe that we all take a gym with us everywhere we go. Just walking can be a great way to burn some extra calories and there's always cheater push ups and situps to work some muscles if we want.

Betsy - Hey well losing 25lbs is great too.

I have done the same thing with the ticker -- sometimes I cheat and move it on a non-official weigh in day but only if it moves down.

It's exactly times like these that make us discouraged and want to give up but look at all the ladies who have pressed on -- eventually the scale will move.

In any case keep at it - twoderville is calling us!

I refuse to move my ticker up. My rational being that any gain is temporary, and I shouldn't have to lose the same pounds twice

I'm committed this time to moving my ticker on official weigh days whether it' up or down. My official WI day is Sunday.

The reason being that last time, when I quit, I wouldn't move it up and then stopped weighing and coming to 3FC because it made me embarrassed that the reality didn't match my ticker.

So this time you guys are getting the good, bad, and the ugly.

I'm not saying you should move it up RadioJane - we all have to do what works for us. I'm just determined to avoid a repeat of last time.

FINALLY! I'm down 2 pounds this morning, and it's finally beginning to dawn on me (this may make some of you wonder where my head's been at) that I just simply can't have any refined sugar at all. I found some Tic Tacs in the pantry and decided to have one which eventually became the entire little box. I faithfully entered the calories, didn't think anything more about it, and then kept getting frustrated because the scale just wouldn't budget downward. In the DUH moment, I read the ingredients, and sugar was listed first. So, in light of the 10 pound weight gain from over carbing the first week in March and the "plateauing" this week, it's finally dawned on me that yes, I have to watch my carbs and I just simply can't have foods where sugar is listed as one of the first 5 ingredients. Seems like it's ok if it's number 6 on the list, but if it's in the first 5 I will suffer the consequences. If it's number 1 -- BAD NEWS! Gee, that only took me 60+ years to learn. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks.

I'm back to where I was 319! Lets see if I can get some actual downwards movement!

I took my measurements yesterday. Down about an inch on my belly finally!
