Hey thanks Christina.. That looks like a great menu.. Though I do find with only 3 cups of popcorn I find it really hard to stop plus it makes me more hungry for some reason. Strange.
Thanks for all your hard work.. I didn't mean for you to figure this all out. You sure measure everything don't you..
Do you find it hard not to be able to have mixed foods, like cassaroles or mac and cheese or such? Pasta you get only 1/2 cup.. Not really worth it. And rice only 1/4 cup.

I guess I am just whiney.. Haha. I felt really hungry yesterday and ended up eating protein before bed. My couselor told me if you have eaten all your choices then protein is the thing to eat when you are starving.

Oh congrats for getting into the 60's. That is sooo great.. Its funny what a little number can do for your mood for the day..

Hope you all have a nice day today.. Its going to be a beauty out there.

Hi all! nothing big to report on the scale front. apparently gained 1 lb. I'm looking forward to weighing in 3 times a week rather than every day because it's just annoying how weight fluctuates. At least I'm not upset about gaining anymore because I know I'm doing everything right and it'll come off sometime.

My average menu looks something like this on a workday:
Breakfast
1/2 cup fibre rich cereal 1 starch
3 oz yogurt (stirred in cereal) 1/2 dairy

Snack
1 small apple 1 fruit

Lunch
1 tortilla (for wrap) 1 starch
3 slices deli meat 1/2 protein
1 slice processed cheese 1/2 dairy
1/2 cup lettuce (in wrap) 1/2 veggie
1/2 cup cucumber on side 1/2 veggie

Snack
1 kiwi 1 fruit

Dinner
5 oz chicken or salmon 1 protein
2 oz tofu 1/2 protein
1 cup worth of veggie for salad 1 veggie
1 portobello/spinach/etc 1 veggie

Free extra
3 cups smartpop or 4 oz red wine w/hot tub

I find that for dinner I am much more satisfied if my food choices cover the whole plate. I think it's a mental thing because I end up focusing on taking smaller bites, savouring just a little more, and it takes longer to eat so you feel more full by the end.

Hello Ladies.

My menu is very similar. For breakfast I usually have special k or cherrios. Salad with protein, dinner is usually a recipe out of the books or from the centre. My kids do like them. Have to double the recipe to feed us. But I still only have one portion. I juggle snacks to cover my bad urge time. Like cooking dinner. Save fruit to nibble on while cooking and Save extra for after kids go to bed. I like the protein bars as back up.

I did reply to the scale post.. I only have the little scale they gave me. The only thing I usually weigh is my meat for lunch and dinner and sometimes I don't even weigh that.. Bad..

That is soooo great you got down to 169.. YOu are doing awesome!!!!!

Julia I like the protein bars too. ANd they really seem to fill me up which is strange since they are so small..

I didn't go in today.. So I am at the same weight..

Julia You said you use recipes from the centre. Do you have any that you think are very good and can share on here?

My centre doesn't give out recipes.. Well maybe I have to ask.
