Hi, all. After a couple of warm days the weather here has cooled down. I still have that stupid cold or respiratory infection. Congestion and occasional coughing fits. Doesn't seem to be diminishing. Am also having gastrointestinal pain and discomfort and wish i could go home and rest. Have had several of these "attacks" in the last couple of weeks. Will put that on the list when I have my annual next month. Have also been extremely tired lately. I think that's from the extra weight I've put on. The only good news today is that my bgl has gone back to normal for me: 156 this a.m.
Meowee - Your week hasn't gone much better than mine. Hope you have a pain free weekend.
Jeanne - Do you have to work the weekend? I hope you get some rest. By the way, what do turkey hunters drink -- Wild Turkey? Sorry, couldn't resist that.
Mary

Had a funny morning so far . . . woke up at 1:30 and couldn't get back to sleep so actually got up for a little while . . . tested the BGL and 2:00 (it was 5.7/103) did not eat or drink anything except a glass of waterand went back to bed about 3:30 and slept until 8:30 . . . tested the BGL again then and it was 8.3/149 . . .
Oh well, the sun is shining, the tooth doesn't hurt . . . what more could I ask?
Good afternoon all,,been a long week-end,,this morning we woke up to 4/5 inches of snow,,totally CRAZY for this time of the year,,it's melting away right now but hubby lost a day of work because of it and of course land taxes are due by the 30th of this month,,,urrr,,
bs was 131 this am but like you Rosetta I have had stomach craps and gas and just a crappy feeling all week-end,,no joke intended,,ha ha,,,hope you are feeling better anyway,,and yes some of the turkey hunters do drink Wild Turkey and oh they think that is soooo funny,,,ha,,most of the guys and gals that come to our little town to hunt are really nice folks,,it's nice to see a new face every once in a while when only about 100 people live down in town,,then about 200 of us hill folks that no ones sees unless we come down,,Where is everyone anyways,,Meowee how are you doing,,strange how are bs does stuff like that huh,,most of the time I just give up trying to figure it out,,Hello Thin nice to see you posting,,don't give up you did it once you can do it again,,hang in there girl,,,Rosey,,,hi and hope you are ok,,or doing better,,later you all have a great day,,Jeanne
Hi, all. A little warmer here today after a cold and windy weekend. My abdominal pain continued all day Friday. Finally about 4 p.m. I called my doctor's office. He wasn't there but the doc covering for him said i should go to the er. Well, I threw up after that and had to wait until i was sure i wouldn't do it again on the bus. Got to the ER at 7:15 p.m. - didn't get out of there until 3 a.m.! They did a cat scan and couldn't find anything. Doctor said it was probably gastritis and gave me a prescription for something. i was told not to take Glucophage for 48 hours because it clashes with the stuff they made me drink for the cat scan. Predictably, my bgl was 196 yesterday, but oddly, today it was 166, which is in the normal range for me. Go figure. I still have that respiratory thing. Tried to get something for it but the doc said it was a virus and would have to run its course.
Meowee - I don't post on weekends because I don't have a computer at home. Sounds like you had a bit of dawn syndrome with your bgl. At least the tooth doesn't hurt.
Jeanne - I think this has been a spring of wierd weather everywhere. That's too bad about your dh losing a day's work. I hope you're feeling better today.
So glad to have others to talk to and also so glad to see you back THIN . . .
On the good news front -- or what I hope is good news -- the dentist had a cancellation and so I was able to get the RC finished instead of just another temporary patch job. Right now the whole lower, left quadrant of my jaw aches a little but hopefully I'm now finished with them for a little while -- at least until my next regular checkup.
On the bad news front . . . I have not been eating well the past couple of days . . . but I just threw out the remains of the peanut butter and the ice cream.
That 3 weeks in Europe totally screwed me up and then it was birthdays, Christmas, New Years and the winter blues.
I am trying to get back on track again, at the very least get back to where I was when I left for my trip. (155) Right now I'm sitting at 170 and having a hard time budging it.
I am going to vegas in 10 weeks, so that is giving me the incentive to move my butt. I'm meeting my friend from London England there - has anyone been to Vegas before?
Meowee - glad your dentist could finish your RC today
rosetta - take it easy for a couple of days, sounds like you had a bad go of things.
Hi the sky is blue and that makes me happy no more snow for now,,hopefully that was the last one,,(: hubby went to work today so that was good,,don't get me wrong you know we all love them home on the week-end but sure screws up my monday when he's home ha,,,just harder to get my stuff done with him here,,
bs was 151 this morning,,not sure why,,slept in late so bet that was it,,that extra hour in testing makes all the differance in my numbers.
Sounds like you are busy Meowee hope you enjoy your day. and Thin I've been to Vegas but it has been a long time,,you'll have a blast I am sure,,go to the shows that is always the most fun for me,,of course I love to gamble but have to watch it or am out of money in no time,,(: Rosetta wow girl they put you through the wringer,,I sure hope you get to feeling better soon. that's a long time to wait to be seen,,we don't even have any of that stuff at our local hospital,,have to go 3 plus hours away for any of that..anyway take care and let us know how you are doing,,,Rosey,,gosh I am sure worried about you,,I hope you are getting better and and that you can let us know how you are soon,,am thinking of you also!
Hi there . . . another day just got away from me . . . I've had to run all over from town to town (and burning much of that expensive stuff called gas) again for the second day in a row.
Back to normal today . . . I think. Although it is hard to decide wht normal is anymore. My BGL has been running in the terrible range since the Actos is now completely out of my system. If things don't start to improve I'll be back on insulin before long.
Weather is dreadful -- second day of raining and overcast -- but that's nothing compared to the Wet Snow that is in the forecast for tonight.
