My bs was 151 this am,,had a low in the night,,and so I understand it being up this a.m,,other than that same day different crap,,,but all in all it's been pretty good,,weather is better,,some sun,,and go back to work on Wed,,Bosses are home and so won't be so hard,,,have a great one all,,Jeanne
Hi, all. Partly cloudy here but warmish. Kept awake last night by knee pain. Can't take anything for it until I see my doctor. NSAIDS like Alleve are no-nos with gastritis. So I'm more sleep deprived than usual. Had to go to the blood lab this a.m. Will get the results next week. They should be interesting. Also, won't get a lunch hour today because I have to make up the time I took to go to the lab.
Lookin - Welcome. You've come to the right place. I only test my bgl twice a day. First thing in the a.m., then before dinner. You should do what your diabetes educator or doctor tells you.
Meowee-My right ankle swells now and then. Don't know why just one.
Jeanne - We're all worried about Rosey, but there doesn't seem to be any way to communicate with her unless she posts.
Yes . . . Unfortuntely some of the safeguards that protect us all from unwanted solicitations on a large BB site like this; can also work negatively at times. I thought I had her personal e:mail, but I was wrong. We had our one lone rooster (Hefty1) disappear on us too about a year ago. Try as we might, none of us (Rosey was one who knew him well) could find a way to contact him. We still worry about him, too.
So . . . if you are out there reading, ROSEY . . . remember that we all you and miss you . . .

BGL is up a little (7.3 / 131) this morning, but ankles have de-puffed, and weight is down to 222.4 -- in keeping with my new method of weighing dqily and taking a monthly average; my new ticker number is 225; but it's nice to know lower is in my future.

Hi all,,Rosetta sorry about the knee pain,,nothing like it when it wakes you up in your sleep urrr,,I just started taking the advil for my ankle and was wondering if it is safe,,so strange you would mention it,,in just two days,,today is the third the pain is half of what I have been having even with other meds,,but still not sure if it is safe for me,,Meowee glad you are depuffed,,congrats on the wt. loss,,I did notice your ticker was down,,we are the same ht and wt,,and yes I remember Hefty and wondering where he went,,and another Lady who posted often and was very upbeat,,(can't remember her name at the moment) but had good things and interesting posts and puff was gone,,but with Rosey we know something is wrong so thats why i worry also,,just hope she is doing well where ever she is,,I always thought that our emails were some where with the membership place,,

Hi, all. Cool and breezy here. Ate my first salad since gastritis episodes. Hanlded it fine but ate too much. Feel less tired today. My bgl was up again today.
meowee - I remember Glen/Hefty. He just sort of disappeared as many people have from this thread. But as Jeanne said, we know something is wrong with Rosey and that's why we worry.
Jeanne - I'm leery of painkillers because the NSAIDs I was taking (like Alleve) may have contributed to my gastritis. I have to wait and talk to my doctor before I take any others. If you take a lot of Advil, you should probably run this by your doctor just to be sure it's okay.
My goodness . . . everybody must be off playing around the MayPole . . . hope things pick up around here.
We hve had so much rain today it's downright amazing and I was out running numerous errands all afternoon. Just got drenched, right through the raincoat, just getting from car to building and back five or six times.
Had lunch out and did well by having a very light salad with diet dressing and some grilled chicken and then decided to treat myself to a 70% dark chocolate bar. Sort of semi-planned, at least, and it was delicious. I only feel a little bit guilty (600 calories worth).
It is still raining . . . wish it would stop. Yesterday's little 'treat' didn't seem to do harm to the weight but the BGL is 7.8 / 140 -- although that isn't all that unusual for me in the morning lately anyway.
Hi and thanks Rosetta,,the imformation on the advil what it does to me is make my bp go real high I noticed,I looked it up on the net and see that if you take a beta blocker like i do it can make it not work right,,so am off those tell I can talk to doctor,,honestly tho it is the best pain killer I have taken,,thank you again tho for answering my questions when I post ,,you are so good at that,,,Meowee,,,ummmmmmmm,,sounds good,,,

Hi all. Overcast and chilly here. mY BGL was 162 this a.m. lowest it's been all week. Meowee - we could use some of your rain. It's been dry the last two months and they're talking water conservation. It's film festival time so I will see a couple of films this weekend. Have a good one!
Sorry . . . you can't have my weather today . . . I think the sun is actually shining -- won't know for absolutely sure until the heavy fog burns off -- but it's either the sun or an invasion from outer space.
hi all,,nice that it is monday and I get to spend the day cleaning the house,,ha ha,,bs was 91 this a.m. so that was good,,went fishing over week-end and had a blast with hubby,,,who is still frowning that I caught the first fish of the season,,ha,,but we ended up tied,,2 and 2,,we just caught and released yesterday,,the sun was out and we both got a sunburn,,my knees and his head,,anyway a good time was had my all,,,
