I believe that there is a perfect, individual weightloss strategy for everyone.. No single eating style will be right for each individual.. I'm not much of a meat person, I really, really don't like eggs, so this didn't help me when I did Atkins I did lose weight though!! But my favorite foods are always gonna be pasta, cereal, and fruit... That's why I think counting calories always works so well for me, I couldn't live the rest of me life without my carbs!! I'm an addict :O) I admit it!! Once ya know what works right for you, then you should try to stick with it! Unlike me, I'm always trying to find a new and improved weightloss trick.. I do know what works for me, now if I would just stick with it!! Crystal

I am just counting calories and watching what I eat. I tried WW a long time ago and it did not really help all that much, and I really did not have the cash to pay for meetings.

Ok sistas, I need a swift kick in the you know where! I have not been excercising. I slacked off a whole lot last week.

Hey sistas!

Welcome Sandi and mom2zjn You've found a truly great group of people. The support here is amazing.

I'm one of the WW in the group. I can't afford the meetings or the online program so I'm just doing it on my own. My best friend Steph went to meetings last year and let me borrow her books, slider, etc.

I'm very new to WW though. I lost about 65 lbs by cutting out a majority of the junk food I was eating and adding light exercise into my lifestyle (walks, bike rides, etc). Then, I stalled for quite some time so I did Atkins and lost another 40 lbs. Was stalled for a good year and a half at 170-180 so I decided something had to change. I started WW on 3/7 at 168 lbs. I'm down to 156 as of my last weigh in (Friday). I really like WW because I am kind of a boring eater. I know what I like and I can eat it over and over again without getting bored. This works well with WW b/c I know how many points are in all my staple foods... makes it easy to stay on track that way.

Sarica**Channeling positive thoughts about exercise to you***

Crystal I am the exact same way! I couldn't live without my carbs. It just doesn't feel right if I don't have a bowl of cereal for breakfast.

Cassy Way to go on getting to the gym yesterday!!

Hope everyone else out there is doing great

Hi everyone I am new to the forum thingy but would love the extra support and help from all of you. For me it will take a village of support to get rid of the sugar cravings and give me motivation to move more lol! I am starting the sonoma diet today. If anyone has any tips or advice I would greatly accept all. I have the hardest time with sweets....uggh!

Thanks for the warm welcome! You will get to know me fast because I really need you!!! I promise to give back to my sistas in return! I have major food issues (without geting into it all right now). I used to be a huge event dieter...drop 40 pounds before a wedding or reunion type of thing. It is very different now...I have 3 wonderful little boys & a super dh. The past 5 years I seem to just gain & rarely loose. I have some major stressers in my life currently...after living out of state for 11 years we have decided to relocate ourselves across the country. Our house is on the market & I'm looking for rental homes, movers, work, etc. To make this long story short... I HAVE BEEN HIDING FROM MY FRIENDS & FAMILY!!! I'm so embarrassed to have my old friends see me looking like this. You would think that would be motivation enough, but it seems my binges are more out of control now than ever. I started nutrisystem in October & it worked super for me. Then I fell off over the hoidays & here it is April & I don't know what happened (again). I have all the food, so I'm going to use it. Back on nutrisystem in the morning!

Sorry to be so long, but that is sorta a little of "my story"! I look forward to getting to know each & everyone of you! I have dieted more than half of my life & have probably tried every diet too. I look forward to this journey with you! It somehow helps to know someone understands & is cheering for you & not judging you!!!!

I'll be checking in with you in the morning!

Bren
