Stopping in to say hi even tho this isn't my team. Your team 'stole' some of my good friends from Blue team. Not too thrilled with that! But you will love them too so it's ok. I think Tina is here right? Oh Tinnnnnna!!!! You have to come visit us on Blue thread! And wanna say hi to Diva, our drop in buddy on the Blue team thread. LOL. She visits us. It's cute.

And I want to say hiya of course to my bestest weight loss buddy in the whole worrrrrld!! Tatiana!!! Thanks for coming over this week and helping me hit my highest number of steps in months, over 12,000 in a day! Just the push I needed to enter Onederland! I'm 198 finally! Anyhoo, been lurking over here, just to see if it's more fun here. Alas, they all are fun! LOL.

Hope you all have a great week and a good weigh in day!!!! Bye for now!

Selina

Hi Black Team Pals -
I agree that it would be cool to see Mikella in the chat! I always like hearing from the guys on 3fc - nice to mix some yang in with the yin!
Congratulations to all us losers! GO TEAM!

Tsk Tsk, Selina! I would never think of coming over to the "dark side!"

Like Selina, I really miss some of you guys and I like to check in each day and see how you're doing. Glad to see so many of you losing weight and working out! You're doing great!

Hey everyone! Looks like everyone has had some great losses this week! Way to go!

Here comes the weekend! Weekends are so hard for me on weight loss. Even though I love spending time with the hubby and vegging out, I'll be happy when Monday rolls around!

ceegee - You're absolutely correct! What is important is that I actually move, regardless of how long I do it. Thanks for reminding me of that!

hope4me - Thanks so much for the kind words! I figured out why I was so down yesterday. It's cuz I was getting sick! It got worse as the day went on and today I feel awful, but hopefully it'll only last a few days, and I'll be back to exercising again. For now, I'm just going to take it easy and try to eat healthy.

Selina - Aww, thanks! Hopefully we can do it again next week if I'm feeling better. Wish you were on Black Team. Can we steal you?

Congrats for making it to ONEderland! Hopefully I can join you soon!

Hi to all my Black Team members. Haven't had much time to post this week. It's been crazy nuts at work. Hopefully it'll start slowing down for me. When I neglect my 3FC friends it tends to make me a little cranky. And lord knows I don't want to be cranky. Especially on a weekend. I'm going to St. Louis to see DD (who is expecting my 5th grandchild any day) and take her the crib and stuff. It'd be great if he decides to make his appearance in the world while I'm down there. I have Monday off so am planning on being on this board and posting. And posting my weight on the WI thread. I've been feeling really bloated and puffy this week and it shows on the scale. Guess I need to drink some HLW this weekend to see if it makes a difference on Monday.

Congrats to all that have already posted their WI's and shown a loss. That's awesome. To be just starting a challenge like this and posting a great loss. My team rocks!!!

Have a good weekend everyone. I'll check back in sometime over the weekend and for sure on Monday.

Same here on the crankiness when I don't come around 3FC for a while! Glad it's not just me who gets that way!

ALSO, here's hoping that we hear all about the new baby when you get back from your weekend! I LOVE St. Louis. I used to live in Branson and St. Louis was my favorite place to go on the weekends! My next goal is to go straight past St. Louis to Chicago for a visit with my long lost cousin who I just happened to stumble upon on HERE on the last challenge (Amberelise is she! Chellez took her away from me and snuck her onto the Blue team this go round.... But, it's okay. I've forgiven her You know I'm kidding Chellez! )... we were on the same team last year and come to find out, we are 5th cousins!! 3FC is helping people lose weight and find long lost family members! lol

Anyway, have a safe trip!!!!!!!!!

Default Question for the day....

How do you eat healthy while "on the go"?

Thanks Julz. The doctor has told my daughter that this little fella is gonna be 10+ pounds. She is only 5/3 and weighs maybe 110. She is in law school at SLU. With having the baby I think it'll extend her college days by a semester. I do know that this baby is another boy (I already have 3 grandsons and 1 granddaughter) and his name will be Andrew.

As for you question about eating healthy on the go - I usually pack a small cooler with some ice and put in a yogurt, fruit, veges and cheese. Of course there's always water with me so that's just a given. My family thinks I'm nuts for packing my cooler all the time but it really does help.

That's great that you found your cousin on here. It truly is a small world isn't it.

The boss just left - I'm staying on here for a while longer!!!

How do I eat healthy while on the go? Well I travel everyday with my job so I always pack a little lunch cooler with me as well. It keeps me on task and saves me some money -yoohoo-
I do have a question are we taking progress pictures weekly? Thanks

reda355 - I think that that is completely up to you! I'm only going to take mine 3 times during the challenge...beginning pictures in January (already done), another mid-challenge and then a final one for the last weigh-in.

I pack everything I need for work every morning so I have that with me. That includes my lunch and my afternoon snack. I also usually take a Luna bar to eat after the gym on my way home so I don’t hit the kitchen at night starving (which is one of my major recipes for disaster). On the weekends I try and plan my day around meals or make sure I know where I can go to get something on plan. I have never been much of a fast food eater, so it isn’t such an issue for me. I will often throw a bar in my purse just to make sure I have something available or perhaps a bag of veggies or piece of fruit. Planned meals out at night to favorite restaurants and evening eating at home are really where I have the most trouble.

TGIF!!!!!

I am so sorry I have not been posting like I should but school started this week and my computer seems to only be working when it wants to

but needless to say life is a bit crazy lol - I have not even been going to the Ymca I have been pretty good about what I have been eating so I am hoping that not working out wont hurt me so bad.

London Julz : I am going to school in Moberly, MO but I do know some of the colleges in Southeren Mo. that are wonderful. We moved here to Mo about 21/2 years ago from Washington and it has been a huge culture shock LOL

If I had a a million dollers boy would I have fun lol I would start by tithing and then I would pay off my school loans and buy a new car ( my car is about to die )
Then I would take my children to Disney world.

Then I would start a ministry for those in the inner city that would have a day center where there would be a food and clothes bank for those who needed it and there would be a place for teens to come and hang out I would also add some small groups that would meet there. And maybe an english as a second language class ummmm I could go on and on about this but I think every one gets the point lol

Anyway it sounds like everyone is doing well and I am so excited. This is the year for me to get serious about my weight and get healthy

WooHoo

Hi everyone -- I'm not going to attempt personals, but I do try to keep up with some reading here. I hope everyone has a great, active, weekend!

Eating healthy while on the go...

I haven't done a good job of it this week, but when I do, I attribute it to planning ahead so that I don't have to make rash decisions 'in the moment'. I'm getting back to that first thing tomorrow morning. If I don't write it down ahead of time, it won't be passing my lips.

Just checking in quickly before I go to bed. I went to the YMCA for the first time today. I exercised for 30mins. It wasn't much but it is 30 more mins than I have been getting. I am planning on going to the YMCA at least 5 times a week. I plan on upping my exercise too. Next time I think I will swim some too.

I also found a 5K that is local. It is at the end of Feb and Mikella & I have decided to walk/run in it. I am excited. It will be good practice for the Peachtree Road Race that we are planning on running in on July 4th.

Off to bed. I will try to stop in tomorrow to post. We are having our ds & dd birthday party tomorrow. I have my fingers crossed that we can stay OP.
