Yikes, Sakai!

Unfortunately, one of our two cats passed away yesterday afternoon. I'm running on almost no sleep and have a migraine from crying. I need to eat something but stress and upset make me super duper nauseous, so I haven't been able to yet.

On the plus side, my FILs were up this weekend and we got the nursery finished. It looks adorable. But it's hard to appreciate it when I'm so sad.

Awww...so sorry about your cat, Amanda!!! I bet that's rough, and even worse with pregnancy hormones involved!

I am sorry about the loss of your cat Mandalinn

Saki - Super scary. I had a cat bite through my finger once and had to have a tetanus shot.

Racrane - Sorry you are having a bad day

Must be something in the air. I just feel cranky, tired and achy today.

Help!
I have really bad itching "Down there." For the past three days. It came and went the past two days but it was so bad today i could hardly sleep. it's driving me nuts.
I read that itching there is common in pregnancy due to changing PH. has anyone had this before?
I'm not having any discharge (which I've had almost constantly since i got pregnant) so i don't think it's a yeast infection. I've had a yeast infection before and I never had any itching with it. I hear a bath with baking soda might help? ARG! it's killing me!

I also started a round of antibiotics(sp) for my cat bites. my Dr. just wanted to be safe. I didn't ask about the itching because it was just a little tingle that day that went away after a few minutes...now it's just constant.
Any advice?

I would say just call your doctor. It could very well be from the antibiotics. As for relief, I don't know. I hope it gets better, though!

So ready for this baby to be here already! The pelvic pain is to a point that I can barely walk without at least wanting to cry. It takes me a good ten minutes to walk to my kitchen- ten feet from the couch. And sleeping in bed is out of the question since I can no longer roll over or sleep on my stomach.

My doctor is pissing me off and won't do anything about it and instead says "lets keep pushing for full term then we can do something" when he can induce me. I can barely walk to class each day as it is, I don't know how much longer I can deal with this. I mean, can't we at least try muscle relaxers or something? UGH! Nothing they've suggested helps- Belts, yoga balls, heating pad, ice, baths. I don't know what else to do.

Sakai- Scary about the cat. I know that theres anti-itch creams made by monistat in the feminine care aisles near yeast infection stuff. You could try that but definitely talk to your doctor as it could be from the medicine.

Mindi- Whats a money tree shower? No gifts allowed except money? I've never even heard of it!

Manda- Sorry about your cat =[ But yay for finishing the nursery!

Racrane- Hope you've had some better past couple of days =]

Keller, it stinks about all the pain!! Only a couple more weeks though, or are they considering 37 weeks full term for you? I've heard 36 and then 37....

Yeah, apparently some people have showers where they request NO gifts, and ONLY have a money tree set up for donations. Mine, at least, has a registry listed with a money tree as an option. Still... I think people have calmed down a little bit about it. So hopefully it'll go ok.

Mindi- 37 is full term but he wants to push to 38. Baby boy is already measuring big and in position for birth so he thinks if i hold off that extra week that he will come on his own but I just can't do it physically- unless of course he refuses inducing in which case he said I'd be on bed rest. I have an appt a week from Monday at 36 weeks 2 days to check dilation and see. Hopefully I get good news that day. I can't see why he would hold off to induce since baby boy is healthy though

Right...if he's healthy and you're close enough, then surely he'll go on ahead??

That's what I'm hoping but I really don't know. Because the pain/pelvis bone has no direct effect on baby boy then its not technically "m/edically necessary" to induce.

For the last three months its been that he'll induce and as soon as I'm full term, baby is coming. But now its always "lets see where we are at term." I just don't understand why he's now pushing it off as if its completely normal when the whole time it was options of things to try(except medicene).

Im completely against our er- but if it takes having to go because I can't walk before he will take it serious, I might go. Df tries to get me to go at least three times a week anyways because I just lay here and cry half the time when I try to move. I'm just so fed up.

I guess on the bright side- our baby shower/lunch BBQ is a week from today. Quite excited to see all my family. Dfs family/parents have never met anyone in mine though so I'm praying for no drama. I told Df that if anything goes down- that I will leave. I don't want to deal with anything at this point.

Hey all....I started the alternative IP diet in Sept of '10. I lost around 70 lbs and was super happy! I started maintenance and gained back around 12 lbs...still super happy. I am currently 23 weeks pregnant and watching that damn scale slide back up is PAINFUL!

I am looking for recommendations on general eating to help ease the pain of all of this! I know I need a certain amount of calories/carbs...but what is reasonable? Suggestions?

Keller- I don't see the point in waiting any longer if the baby is healthy and ready to go. The stress on you isn't gonna help the baby any. Hoppefully the Dr. can see this logic.

As for me....it's a yeast infection..second one ever...>.< I know I can treat it with creams but ever site i went to said that i should go see my Dr. because it's the first yeast infection during pregnancy. ugh.
i didn't think it was because the discharge looked like it has for forever....until today...So i get to deal with it for one more day and hopefully i can slide right into the Dr office tomorrow....Or maybe I can talk with her over the phone. I'm just ready for it to go awa and hopefully stay away.

Wyoangel- In "You, Having a baby" (co-written by Dr. Oz) says that a woman should eat 100 calories more that maintenance pre trimester. So if your are in the 2nd trimester... you should eat 200 calories more than you need to keep your weight steady..(easier said than done for some of us >.<)

Wyo- My doctor told me 200-300 more than I would normally eat. It's hard to do though when you're always hungry! http://www.drbrewerpregnancydiet.com/id96.html is a link to a pregnancy diet. It's not a weight loss one- but rather what you need in order to maintain healthy eating for you and baby. Some women gain, some lose and some actually maintain.

DF is sick and crabby and has been for three days now. All he wants to do is sleep and I really want to finish getting the house together, pictures up etc. He isn't worried because I already put Baby A's room together. I wish I could do something other than sit on the couch. I feel like a disabled old woman!!!

I'm attaching a picture. 34 Weeks 5 days. I feel huge. (Keeping in mind that I have DDD size boobs now and my stomach is still that much bigger!) But He dropped and stayed down around 32 weeks.
