Well after three weeks away from my center and a week long carribean cruise off plan I managed to lose 4 pounds. Not great but I know I gained 6 pounds on the cruise. It slowed me down but I should be able to stay on track now. It looks like we have a lot of new members. More to encourage each other. Every one have a great week.

Statenville - I wouldn't buy any pills. You can get a multi-vitamin and oil (flax or fish) pills anywhere. I get mine at Walmart. Just buy your drinks. Then if you run into a reason to pick up another supplement you can always add it later.

Hvnlymzic - what oil pills to you buy. I was looking at Walmart this weekend and WOW...just curious what works the same and how do you take them (at every meal like MRCs or once a day).

Thanks

Uggghhhh! I ate out most meals this weekend...Chicken or Turkey and Green Beans. But the salt is killing me! Up 2 pounds

I have another dinner tonight and am feeling frustrated.

I quit taking all the supplements except the fish oil and have been doping myself up on Benadryl. The hives are finally going away.

I just can't afford that, and do drink 2 per day instead. Instead of their HNS I drink 100 calorie Muscle Milk Light that you can get at SAM'S Club. Their really yummy and take care of any sweet tooth you might have. They have 15 grams of protein just like the HNS!!!!!
Is there anyone that lives in Fayetteville, Arkansas that is doing the program? I'm going to start working out on Monday and would love a buddy!!
Is this real milk? Like something I can use in recipes and my coffee?

No it's not real milk, it's kinda like a Slim Fast without sugar and tastes MUCH better. You can drink instead of HNS.

I would not recommend buying your vitamins at Wal-Mart, spend the extra money and go to GNC. Much better product!! I get my multi vitamins there as well as my Omega 3-6-9 .......

Leigh - I buy a one-a-day women's vitamin. Nothing special there. I do buy Walmart's off brand. I also buy Spring valley brand Flaxseed Oil. They're 1000mg per pill and I take 2 at each meal ... same as I did with the MRC Flax.

I've always taken the one a day vit from Walmart, except when I was taking a pre-natal...which you can do too if you want. I switched to the walmart flax about 3mo ago and haven't seen any difference in anything.

I will say that I take MRC-6 as well and used to take Corti-trim. I dropped the Corti-trim in favor of relacore and had bad results. I was losing hair and not absorbing water like I should have. I was drinking a ton (120oz) of water and still reading dehydrated on the tanita. Since dropping that my hair is better and I'm doing better on the hydration with no other diet changes. I'll probably stay off the corti-trim products until I want to pay for MRC's version again...which is probably never.

Hvnlymzic - Thanks for the info. I too take the MRC6, my own vitamin. I will search out the flaxseed oil. I will be out tomorrow. I tossed back and forth relacore/cortitrim - but think I will just finish my last 5 weeks and see where I am. My counselor was great tonight and has motivated me to believe I can meet my goal!

Karla - Congrats on your decision to join MRC. You will find that it really works and that these boards are a great support network. Good luck with your journey I know you can do it.

i wasn't too excited at weigh in yesterday, only down 1.5 lbs in 10 days.but then i remembered that i splurged two sundays ago and last saturday i had a few cheats. but other than that i did really great, so i guess it counteracted the bad food. my sister had bought me a pair of jeans for xmas, wore them on nye for the first time and they were pretty tight. today i put them on out of the dryer and they fit perfect. now after wearing them for half the day they are all stretched out. i hate when im between sizes, but so happy that soon i'll be in a size 10! i started out in a size 16. my goal is to be in the 160s by feb. 13. my husband has been out of town and i wanted to lose at least 15 by the time he got back. i have 5 weeks to do it, 2 weeks in and so far i've lost 6 lbs. 3 weeks left and 11lbs to go!

Hello everyone! I too am back. I started this diet last spring and was feeling good and getting LOTS of compliments by summer time. Then...I let myself cheat once and I couldn't stop myself from doing it again and again. Since then, I have gained back EVERYTHING that I lost and then some .

Last Friday I MADE myself get on the scales and saw a number that I've NEVER seen before!!! I told myself that I had to get serious again. I decided that I would try it on my own and had plans to go to the grocery store after work but then...my favorite counselor from MRC called me and told me about the one day re-sign special that they were having! I decided that it was a sign and went in on my lunch break. I preconditioned all weekend and started back yesterday. I already feel better because I know that I am in control again and not the food!! This time I hope I can go all the way
