Shoot! I eat that stuff every week. I've got some rethinking to do! WOW! 7.5 MILES...

Way to go on the M! That is so awesome....GO TRY ON THOSE 12'S. The first time I went clothes shopping I was scared to death too. I took about 3 sizes of everything in the dressing room. It was a sight to see.

I'm soooo far behind!! My mom -who's been sick with lung cancer, COPD, and emphasema for the last year- passed away on the 24th. I had to run to Shreveport again and fight with the boyfriend of two years about where she was and wasn't going to be burried. How much does that suck?
I was catching up on things and must say 3mm your sister needs to know you have a life! I drive a dealer car and when my kids or anybody want to eat in it I do freak out. Either they follow the rules or get another ride. The end. Also, my neice had gastric by-pass 9 years ago and still throws up if she eats more than a few oz. of food at each meal. You are sooo doing this the right way, so don't get discouraged. ShineOn you look great, you should be proud of all you've done and not sweat the off-plan moment. Angierue Love the new do! I've been thinking of doing something different too, but I'm a little scared that I'd go crazy and cut all of it off or dye it red or something. So i'm watining until a more sane time in my life. Donuts I'm so proud of you. I brought my DH to my last weigh in and showed him the poster of you and your family at the end of the hall. He's been very jealous of my online group. You look amazing and you are truly a poster child for this program, thanks for all your inspiration. Jewelie I hear you about the fat %. I am at 32%, but I'm down 9% and 39 inches since the beginning so I think the % are sometimes off.

The only good news I have is that I didn't gain any weight over the last month of **** with my mom in the hospital and stuff. And I get to stabilize at the next stabilization party in May. Thank god for good news.

Thanks for the inspiration on walking as well. I have to take my dog to puppy preschool this evening and I think walking there will be a great way to squeeze in a little extra exercise--definitely not 7.5 miles but every little bit counts.

I weighed in today for a 2.5 pound loss. I am honestly more excited about finishing Day 4 today and moving on to the blue menu with a little more variety tomorrow!
Congrats on the 2.5 lbs!!

I'll catch up on the board tomorrow but I wanted to let you all know I went to WI yesterday AM and I had lost 5 POUNDS!! I couldn't believe it. That was just since Thursday of last week. My home scale was saying the same thing but it's been wrong before, so I wasn't holding out hope for more than 2 pounds. WOOHOO!! Now I didn't eat totally OP while I was away but I'm back on track (again) tonight and will be back to "normal" tomorrow.

I'm now down 25 lbs and weigh less than I have in 14 years (1 pound less than I did when I met DH). I'm psyched about that! That was a big personal goal for me. Now, 17 more pounds, here I come.

Oh, NSV. Went shopping last night and bought a pair of Gap size 8 jeans and they weren't tight at all! I also bought a pair of size 6 shorts @ BASS. I think they Vanity Size quite a bit b/c I could wear 10s before my weight loss and I was in 12/14 with everyone else, but still...just to see a 6 on the tag feels good, kwim??

I promise to catch up on personals tomorrow. Have a great night everyone!

Oh, quick question on the fat/carb blocker. Do you just take that once (2 pills) a day when you know you're eating something off program)? Is there a comparable out there? Yes, I KNOW I shouldn't eat off program, but when I'm at a conference and there is no other food except fruit and bread for breakfast there's not much choice if you don't have a meal bar with you. So, any knowledge on the fat/carb blocker? I try not to take it often, but would like to know more if you all do. Thanks.
5 lbs is awesome!! My goodness!

I am so sorry about your mother's death. It is so hard to lose a parent, no matter what age you are.

I'm guessing if you saw Donuts picture at the MRC office, you go to the one in Greeley. What an accomplishment for you to be at the stabilization phase. On top of all you've had to deal with, at least your journey to your goal has stayed with you. I'll watch for your picture on the walls of the Greeley office when I'm there.

My DH and I bought a car from a "cargirl" last fall at G/W. Which dealership are you with?

Sheldon - Way to go on those 2.5 and getting on to a new menu.

MrsPhibes - 22.5 inches! That's great! And getting to compare your before and where you are now... What a great feeling.

WARmom - Try not to let TOM get you down. I know with all the otehr stuff you've been going through with your husband working out of town, it's tough but you can do this. That 1.5 is probably water. Try adding a little extra B6 for the next couple of days.

Finz - Hope Friday's measurement day really helps to reinforce how great you've done. Getting to see those inches lost really makes a difference.

Rocki - WOW! 5 lbs since Thursday. That's awesome. And a great motivator to get back on track, I'm sure. Someone might have answered this already, but with the fat/carb blocker, you should take 2 before the meal that might be off plan. And actually, anytime I'm eating out, I will take them even if I think it's an on plan meal just because I never know what might have snuck in that wasn't supposed to be there.

You. Are. Brilliant! Thank you so much for that suggestion. For a girl that never liked cottage cheese (me) I've been eating it quite a bit this week. I wonder if that combined with that fact that I have eaten 8 oz of cucumbers EVERYDAY for the last 4 days is why I was actually UP 1/5 a pound today???

I am so sorry to hear about your mom and then having to deal with her boyfriends crap on top of that.

Thanks for the hair compliment. I actually like going when I'm feeling all "crazy". I usually end up liking it way better. Of course, you really do have to trust your stylist if you're going to do that!

Only 5 lbs from your goal!?! That has got to be a great feeling. Especially considering all you have been through the last month. Way to go!

--------------------

Alright, little me update. I weight to weigh in this morning and I was actually UP 1/2 a pound. I was a little bummed about that but after reading about the cukes and cottage cheese, I might know why! I'm going to do a B6 flush (someone asked about that... I do 250mg and take 4 pills all at once then drink a LOT of water) tomorrow.

But, while I was there, I asked to look at my chart and wanted to look at my inches. I then realized that I have lost SIX inches just in my waist. SIX INCHES! That's 1/2 a foot! That made me feel a lot better.

I also got them to email me the picture from when I signed the 30 lb board. I normally HATE full body shots but for some reason, I don't hate this one so thought I would share with y'all.

That's about it for me. Hope everyone has a great week and we all have some big losses!

Wow. You guys move so fast. I've been away for a bit and had several pages to catch up on.

Congrats to all of you who have shown losses. This program really is amazing. I am so thankful I re-signed and am starting this journey to a thinner me(for the last time).

Thanks for the posts on the high sodium foods. I eat a lot of those too so I need to make a note to limit those. I had no idea celery did?

I am on day 4 today and weighed in with a 1.4 lb loss. I was down Friday after pre-conditioning loss of 3.2, so 4.6 lbs total in a week. I'm pleased

Looking forward to day 5. Since I've done program before I know what the double chocolate pudding is and I've been craving it since day 1. Tomorrow, I'm making myself one of those...

Cargirl .... my deepest sympathy on the loss of your mother, and all that you have had to go through with her illness and passing. Glad you're back. Way to hang in there with the weight loss in the midst of all of the stress and sadness.

Sending good thoughts and prayers your way.

Do any of you buy your HNS from any online diet shop (like Diet Direct) or do you just get them from MRC? My center doesn't have a large selection of flavors and they don't have the fiber drinks at all. I was just wondering if the "off brand" HNS are the same as MRC.
If you buy online it is fine, but the min. (2 or 3 depending on which menu you are on) need to be bought from your center to keep your contract in tact. For me, I bought online the last time and have not bought from my center in a little over a month.

I know that the fat % can be a pain in the butt. They won't let me go to stabilization until I am below 30....so hopefully I will join you and Jen really soon!

Default MRC Questions

Hello Everyone,

I work with a couple ladies that have lost weight with MRC. One started about 7 months ago, and has continued to keep the weight off. The other just started. I'm really considering going for the free consultation. However I wanted to hear from you all if this program will teach you the tools to keep the weight off perminantly. I've read through most of you threads, and I noticed there are a lot of suppliments that are taken on this diet. Do any of you know if you will be dependent on those suppliments in order to keep the weight off?

Thanks for any feedback you can provide!

I really think that I never would be able to lose this weight without this program. I do take a lot of supplements....although now at the end I am down to taking Flax Seed Oil, B Complex (took before per doctor's order), and a multi-vitamin that I always took. We also have HNS which is a high nutrient drink/protein drink. You have these all thru the diet/weight loss portion. During stabilization you take them out and do not have them in maintanence unless you need to lose a couple pounds and you have them to fall back on. This is what I understand. I am not to stabilization yet, so maybe some of our maintainers will let us know if I am wrong.

You will really like the HNS....my boys will snitch them for snacks if I don't watch.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss! Blessings to you and your family! What an amazing ordeal and to maintain. I too think the stress alone would have added weight for myself. You and your family will be in my prayers.
