LOL, I know what you mean. At least it is hard on the people on the show too. I have screamed out loud a few times in pain.

You ladies have talked me into buying the BL DVD! It sounds like fun.

Katie-

Do you do BL every day? Is it cardio and toning or just toning? I love to run on the treadmill, but need to kick it up w/ weights and/or toning to be able to pass my current plateau. Which one would you recommend -- or can you buy them individually? I am a serious pear-shape and need to do a lot of abs and lower body work. HELP!

The DVD has 4 workouts on it: #1 Low Cardio, #2 High Cardio, #3 Low intensity weight training and sculpting, #4 High intensity weight training and sculpting. Bob (the trainer) recommends that you alternate workouts 1 & 3 every day for 3 weeks, then bump up to workouts 2 & 4. All workouts have a warm and cool down session. I really enjoy it. It works me hard, and I really feel like I have accomplished something when I am done. I have been doing it for nine days now. BTW, I am a pear too, and there is tons of abs and legs.

Thanks, Katie -- think I'm gonna get it. Does it involve weights at all? Gotta do something to speed up this metabolism!

Got back to kick boxing yesterday.....little congested still but it felt good to be back

Christie- Yes, the the toning ones use hand weights. I only use 2 lb weights, and that is enough for me.

Today- BL Workout #1

Walking on the treadmill,...still kinda sick

BL Workout #3.

emmysmom 02-22-2006 01:40 PM

I did BL Workout #3 yesterday with DH...I use 3 pound weights. I'm not doing the workouts 6x per week like they suggest, I'm just doing them 4x/week.

Repo girl 02-22-2006 01:43 PM

#3 is a lot harder for me, but at least it is shorter!

emmysmom 02-22-2006 01:45 PM

I can already start to see a difference though...and my abs are still sore from Sunday and then more reverse crunches yesterday...I can feel it when I cough!

Hi :
Thanks a lot for write about the BL DVD and how much you enjoy it. Today I went to Kmart looking for a present for myself for my two painful pounds lost after the TO, and I saw the BL dvd, the perfect gift and good price(9.99 if someone is interested)and when I was looking at it at the store I just had a flashback of all the conversations about it on this site that I just bought it. Tomorrow I am going to start doing it and alternate it with my other workout routine.Katie Thanks for the good recommendation....
