I'd run behind him on water as long as I knew he'd show me his abs during the cooldown!

hkychik 03-23-2006 11:28 AM

I love his accent. It is true, he is adorable. In the Boot Camp, he says Suzy is a handful. So funny.

BL 1 and 3 and 60 min run today. I havent done it yet but when I get home from work I am. I am working out extra hard today because I didnt get to last night. My friend works at a spa and wanted to "experiment" on me. She told me to let all hair on my body grow out and not shave for 2 weeks. So I did, big mistake. She waxed my legs, underarms, eyebrows and bikini. :o It was so hard to walk out of there. :( But now I'm smooth for Vegas!!! :D Anyways so I'm going to exersice extra hard today. Figured I'd post now so I HAVE to do it and I cant back out!!

hkychik 03-24-2006 10:15 AM

Waxed your underarms? OW!:fr:

My brother lives in Vegas - he works for the Bureau of Land Mgmt on a helicopter. He's already incredibly busy this year. I think it's going to be a bad fire season.

30lbsby22 03-24-2006 10:17 AM

Yes underarms. I dont suggest it to anyone! Not even my worst enemy.

Lori do you go to Vegas much? And if so any tips? I am so afraid of falling off plan so I am trying to be as prepared as possible!

hkychik 03-24-2006 10:22 AM

Nope, I am sad to say that in the 7 or so years that he has lived there, I have never made it out. He is very anti-social and avoids the strip and trendy places like the plague. Bah Humbug! Wish I could help you out. I think Katie had some good suggestions about going to places with buffets and taking some of your own fruit. Drink lots of extra water, because most of those buffet things are loaded with sodium!

Hi everyone! I'm off this weekend to buy a new heart rate monitor. Does anyone have suggestions on which I should get? I'm clueless, this is the first one I've ever bought and I don't want to spend a lot of money on a piece of crap ;) .

Thanks,
Diane

Ok, I need some serious motivation here. I just can't seem to get in the "mood" to exercise. I have a treadmill, and I KNOW I should be walking on it, but I just can't get up the energy after a long day at the office.

Any ideas????

30lbsby22 03-24-2006 12:25 PM

Joan I feel your pain. I was like that for so long. But one day I just made myself. I said I would do 30 min. A 5 min warm up a 20 min brisk walk and a 5 min cool down. For me breaking it down like that made it seem so much easier. Plus I have a TV in front of my treadmill so that was nice. But to be honest the thing that has kept me going, and this will probably sound silly, is my IPOD. I put music on and I just go go go. Wednesday night I lost track of the time I was on there and ended up being on there for over 45 minutes. If none of that works just keep telling yourself it will help you in the long run. I always tell myself I dont want to be skinny I want to be healthy and the first step to that is exercise!! :D Come on chickie I know you can do it. Its tough but you can do it. Need a buddy? I would be more than happy to help. Do this for you!!

Maybe mornings would be better? Find a time of day that you can live with, and just get started. You will find out that you actually have more energy on the days that you exercise. Remember that it takes 21 days to form a habit, so commit to yourself that you will do it without fail for that long. I promise by then the habit will stick!

Ohhh a buddy now that might help.

Thanks to you and Repo Girl... you guys are GREAT!. I've tried mornings, but I'm not really a morning person, so evenings are best for me. I guess I'm going to have to just plug in the IPOD and GO. I hadn't thought about it. I Used to read on the treadmill, but I find its not so easy with this one. Maybe when I get my new one in a month or so.

Anyway, I'm going to go home tonight and the FIRST thing I'm going to do is change and get on the treadmill.

 to you both!
