1.5 hrs skate skiing last night - spent about half the time hill climbing.
What a great w/o. My scale dropped to 155 this AM - dang thing. Why couldn't it have moved yesterday during my official WI.:?: -S |
2 1/4 Hr skate skiing - what a great day. Tons of fresh snow + I think I'm finally getting a little (and I emphasize the little) better at this sport:carrot:
Made me REALLY hungry - just had a veg burger with cheese in a pita - delicious!!! I could use a nap now though. Happy POP day all. -S |
Today I did 3.11 miles on the treadmill in 40 minutes. I ran all but 8 minutes (spaced throughout).
When I first started exercising, about 4 months ago, I could only walk. Now if I could get my weight moving in the right direction - the exercise has GOT to be affecting it. I'm running about 10-12 miles a week now. Plus about 60 minutes of legs a week and 400 crunches. |
Sunday - skate skiing = 45 min. It was snowing like crazy - tough for skate skiing.
Monday - 1 hr bike ride. Hey where are all my other exercise pals???? Star, Shennie, Gymgurl ...whats up?? |
Biggest Loser Information
Ok so most of you know that I started the Biggest Loser workout officially yesterday. Several people have asked for more information about it so here it goes....
It is a 12 week program. I actually have the book and the DVD. If this is something that you are interested in I would recommend getting both. The exercise part of it is six days a week. You do Cardio 6 days week and Circuit Training 3 days a week. The way i have designed my woorkout I alternated on my cardio, 3 days a week i do the DVD. There are actually 4 different workouts on the DVD and a warm up and cool down. There is a 6 week workout plan listed on the DVD as well if you just want to do the DVD. The other 3 days for cardio i use machines (treadmill and elliptical). This way i am giving my body a variety of different workouts instead of just doing the same thing all the time. Tee i think you asked about weights they are optional in the beginning and as you advance you would add them for more difficulty. The workout i did last night which was called low intensity i think lol yeah right! did not use any weights at all. I certainly felt the burn and was sweating :carrot: The following is my workout scheduel that i described above: Monday: BL DVD Tuesday:Circuit Training & Steady-State Cardio Wednesday: BL DVD Thursday: Circuit Training & Steady-State Cardio Friday: BL DVD Saturday: Circuit Training & Steady-State Cardio Sunday: OFF Having the one day off is great not only because you can rest one day but it lets you adjust if you cant workout one day you have a subsitution day. Steady-State Cardio is just the machines (treadmill, elliptical ect.) Looks simple enough right HAHA!!! After you have been working out for 4 weeks you start adding some Interval Cardio (example: Treadmill not on just one speed the workout would include different speeds) Circuit training information is in the book as well as the steady-state cardio and interval cardio information. The circuit training is things like push ups, crunches, lunges and things like that. There is a chart in the book that gives you how many reps you should do ect. I hope this information helped and if you have any more questions about it just let me know ill do what i can to answer you. If i miss a day cause of school or something i will answer as soon as possible.:carrot: |

Wow
So much action over here in the yard.....
I'm so proud of all of you:carrot:  ;) |
Today I did 30 minutes on the treadmill (ran 2.5 miles). Then 10 minutes of "hills" on the bike, and 100 crunches. I'm really hoping to see a loss this week, even with TOM!

I've started walking on the treadmill, up to 30 minutes now. When I get back down weight wise I MAY just have to go back and get my Second Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo... :high: Its been 2 years since I got the First Degree... I think it's time.

1.5 hr skate ski -I think I'm finally getting the hang of it! Don't look like such a dork anyway.
-S Went for a WI today - officially 156 on the COD scale. Had measurements done also - nothing too stellar....gained 1/2 " on my thigh from skate skiing. |
20 minutes Treadmill
Circuit Training 20-30 minutes *push ups 12 *whole body squats 12 *Walking lunges 5 minutes *Standard Lunges 12 (each leg) *ab crunches 5 minutes **There were three or four other things that i did but i dont have my list up here ill try and get them all next time. Oh and Tee you do need weights for the circuit training for three or four of the exercises. |
