For me personally, I am very proud of myself. I was in Puerto Vallarta over the weekend for my sister's wedding and I stayed OP the whole time. As part of my planning, I was nervous about the food there so I decided to do the equivalent of a 3 day IP boot camp which is no meat - replacing it with 2 packets so that is what I did using alternatives. I was worried about Mexico customs confiscating any food (with the expense of IP, I didn't want to risk them taking the food even if it was in packaging). So, I didn't take any baked goods or IP goods. So, what I did was I went to Vitamin Shoppe and got 9 individual packets of Quest peanut butter protein powder which served as breakfast, lunch and snack for 3 days. I got a bag of quest chips and an oatmeal bar for each dinner. I used my olive oil in my pudding recipe with the Quest peanut butter powder (I ordered little packets of olive oil from Amazon a while ago and brought those along). I brought a couple of Stevia packets and salt packets and also included those in my pudding. I am very happy that I made a plan and stuck with it and bypassed the breakfast buffet, etc.

I could have done that but I want my reboot to be as short as possible so that was the trade off I made. I will weigh for the first time since reboot next Monday and then determine how much longer I will do the reboot. My goal for next Monday is to be at my pre-Christmas weight. I want to lose an additional 10-20 pounds depending upon how I feel so I will know how much longer on my reboot then, but I know I won't be worrying over the next week about how much of a setback I caused, which is what would have happened if I did plan/stay OP.
I felt pretty good in my swimsuit and family was telling me to stop dieting so I think I am close.

I hope everyone else's reboot continues to well and we continue to read about successful reboots like Jenny's!
You did amazing! I don't think I have ever gone on vacation and stayed OP. That is seriously impressive. But I totally get wanting to be on P1 for as short as possible.

It sounds like you may be close to finishing your reboot. I think as you become more comfortable and confident, it gets harder to justify staying on P1. Especially once you hit that healthy weight zone.

It IS much harder to stay motivated when you are close to goal -- especially if the losses slow and you have to work harder at it to get losses. All the compliments often become less frequent and you are fitting in new smaller clothing, and the desperation and strong desire has diminished somewhat. It is tough.

Just reading and catching up with all of ya...

I've been on the MFP Low Carber forum group a bit more lately, but I don't want to neglect all of my 3FC peeps either.

I am starting to have that hollowed out feeling - for rebooters, I'm sure you know what I am talking about. I love this feeling! It is the exact opposite of feeling bloated.
Even so, I am going to stick to my plan of not weighing until Monday and then determine the number of weeks remaining for my reboot. I went into this with first wanting to get off any holiday weight and then the remaining 10-20 pounds to get to goal depending upon how I look and feel. I haven't weighed, but I am pretty sure I am past the holiday weight and now into the 10-20. I hope the scale is kind on Monday!

Ok so I was feeling so good today that I decided to weigh myself to find myself back to to my pre-Christmas weight. So, I am officially onto the target of the remaining weight to get to goal, knowing the goal is a sliding scale based upon how I look and feel. It may be 10, 15 or 20 pounds. Family members don't want me to lose any more right now as it is so we'll see. I do want to lose more so I'll assess as I go but I am committed to at least 4 more weeks where I am expecting 10-12 pound loss.

Congrats! It is a good feeling when you are at "ground zero". And yes, I do know and love that hollowed out feeling. You can only get it on P1 and it is a beautiful thing

I am doing good. Had my first week back on maintenance and the scale actually moved for me (137.8). Very surprising, but it did make me very happy to see. I have been at about 100g of carbs a day, which is a good amount for me. I am still targeting trying to lose body fat, so I still need to be in a deficit. I still carry a lot of fat on my stomach & hips, which I would really like to make a dent in. I know that it will be slower going than with P1, but for now, I need to nurture my mental state and after a few weeks on P1, I needed to make a change.

Hope you all are doing good on your reboots.

Default new beginning

Day One of reboot! I lost 20 pounds back in 2015 and have officially gained it ALL back.

Time to get to work and take my life back. I have to admit I was having "diet anxiety" all weekend. May the IP Force be with me!

Hello all,

I'm back, after about a year and a half of not paying enough attention I lost about 25 pounds a couple of years ago on IP and now have put pretty much all of that back on. It's been a stressful couple of years (but no excuses because these were not huge stressors like others have had). I was lazy with regard to proper meal prep and my maintenance eating habits, lazy re getting enough water, and even less disciplined with the vino and vodka. At some point in there, I turned 50 also, and I'm sure that did not help.

So ... here I am! I've just read the 11 pages on this current thread and am very glad to see many familiar names! I checked in at some point last summer and felt it was so slow here, but now it seems things have picked up, thankfully! I know these boards and daily logging on MFP helped me last time, and I intend to rely on them again. The one thing I do not have this time around is a Coach. Mine moved away, and I am reluctant to deal with starting new somewhere else. I periodically order alternatives from Nashua and intend to beef that up now. I believe i have vitamins left from last time, so I will pull those out as well.

Anyway, just wanted to say hello and let you all know you're an inspiration. Hoping to lose right along with you gals....
Have a great day

Default Post baby re-boot

Hi Everyone!

I am back after having my daughter. I had to pause my progress when I got pregnant. Baby is 6 months, doing great and we are finally settling back into something of a routine so I am getting back to IP. I am on day two of my reboot, and I definitely am feeling kinda yucky. I can't wait to get past the first few days and into not feeling hungry and lose the headaches. I've been successful with IP before, so I'm looking forward to getting out my smaller size jeans.
