Met a referral for coffee this morning. Neither of us had ever met and could not put our finger on eachothers cell numbers. After about 30 minutes of squirming a young gentleman approaches me holding an iPhone. "Are you Scott?" Yes Jason glad to meet you." He turns the phone and shows my my LinkedIn profile picture and states, "you must take a new picture! How old is this one?" "6 months". Turns phone around looks for a long moment, "so how much weight have you lost?" Best thing to happen in a few days.
Knel: that depends on which veggies I am eating. Cuccumbers, peeled, sliced with a dash of sea salt. Jicama sliced with a dash of true lime. For dinner, sauteed mushrooms and asparagus in a little oil with spike seasoning. That seasoning is fantastic.
How do you guys manage to get all your vegetables- steamed? grilled? soups?
We mostly roast ours. Spray some PAM on a cookie sheet, spritz the veggies with oil, then bake at 350 for about 30 minutes. We're going through about 6 pounds of sliced mushrooms a week.
Another way is to make some veggie purees. You can mix them with the soups and it makes a lot of veggies fit into a very small space.

The little things.Wifee is getting a little discourage. I showed her a picture of us that was about 6 months old. Wifee is on board again! "I never want to look like that again!"

Yep! Here's a Before and Not After But In Process photo.
Went in for my yearly physical today, that was pretty interesting. The nurse did a double take at my BP (which was perfect) and asked what BP medication I was on to get it down from my last physical. I actually have about a 45lb drop from my last physical! All IP there!
My doctors office is actually the other IP clinic in our town but it is just too far for me to travel to every week so I visit a closer one. Needless to say they love IP in that office! My doctor has lost 35lbs, the other doc has lost 65lbs and the nurse (now IP coach) has lost 35lbs! (They are all in maintenance now). He was telling me that IP is causing huge changes in his patients. He is having diabetics going off all meds and finding that people have really reduced their "aches and pains" (associated with being overweight) since IP.
He was absolutely thrilled I was doing IP and all my "numbers" were amazing this year. I have a form for a full workup when I get to my goal so he can compare everything. I was called the Cinderella Story today! Today really got my motivation up and I'm ready to get to goal!!!
My physical is next week. I have for years instructed my doctor to get in, get out, do not even breath. You can tell me all about it when you are done.
Did they recommend IP before? (But you went to the other office closer to home?)
They actually never recommended it last year but they did have IP brochures around and that is how I found out about IP. Ya, my doc is right "downtown" and I live out on the west side so it is easier just to visit the IP clinic close to home.
Ya, the bend-over was all clear but I was fartin' jelly all morning!
