Another 5 lbs lost this week! Not bad considering I had friends in town and 6 hours of driving to catch a show in PA. I was having issues with fat %. Last week my coach suggested I add another non-restricted packet when I am stressed at work. I dropped a full % this week and had 0.7% muscle gain. They use the same scale I have (Omron) which has a 1% margin of error so it isn't the most reliable when shooting for .5% weekly changes.

I have lost almost 25lbs in my first month and I am still feeling great. I can't wait to visit family for the holidays so they can see the change. I have been really quiet on facebook so it will be a big shocker when I reach my goal.

I have been given the 'OK' to start strength training (low weight / high reps) and even up to 20min of cardio 3x a week. I have to do the work out about 1.5hrs after a meal and have a packet as soon as the workout is over. She even said I could give Crossfit a try (but know my limits). I'm still building up the nerve. My gym is offering it free the rest of the year.

Keep up the great work all!

Congrats on the loss. I have been doing the same on facebook. I try to not post pictures and have not said a word about being on a diet. I have not changed my profile picture for over a year

Tomorrow is the first day I get to go hunting with my son Jack. It is youth hunting weekend. He is ten and I am very proud of him. I dug out my hunting clothes and they all fit again, sweet! Wearing my wool pants as I type this now. It has been a loooong time since I've fit into these pants. Not even tight like the last time I wore them.

I would not have been going hunting with Jack w/o IP. HUGE NSV for me, and him.

ok, I have to ask y'all......if your gf or wife just loss 200lbs would this be a big thing for you as well as her? when I told my bf I hit my 200lb loss he was like ok....like it was nothing special.....my son got me a charm for my bracelet and when I showed him he was like...cool....I am like really dude? that is all you got to say?....guess I am more hurt than I thought I was. Guess I am feeling down today because he really didn't say anything to me about it and he is gone for 4 weeks again. Sitting at home alone thinking will get those emotions going I guess...

I would have chased you around the house.

You should have had more than a cool. Not fair. I get more support outside the houses than at home. My wife actually told me last week I'd gain all of it back again. I will not print my response but it was full of a few choice words.

You're a super start Baby. And you're Sexy! He might have just been able to relate to how freaking Huge a milestone 200#'s lost is.

It is Huge Baby Huge. We love ya. I would tell him how you feel.

I know it is typically a tired lame excuse but it was PMS fueled by her quitting smoking 8 weeks ago. I will not gain it all back. I will never let myself.

I think he really messed up by not taking the opportunity to flood you with compliments. (Speaking for my self here) We men tend to sometimes not say all the nice things we should, so when you offer such great news, that should have been a clue to him to start the compliment process.

You mentioned that he is gone for 4 weeks, this makes me wonder, what was he doing/thinking about, when he got your news. It is NO excuse, but I do know that when I am about to be gone for military duty my mind turns me into someone else. I sort of slip into 'Military Mode' So, if he was distracted by his upcoming time away, I would again tell him "Hey dude, I just reached a milestone of loosing 200 lbs, wake up and come see how my body looks now!"

Anyway, I can understand your feeling down, I would too.

Default PT Test Results

Hey everyone. Well, I survived my PT Test this weekend. (Hardly survived the weekend, but did make it through that test)

I ended up doing 41 situps in two minutes, 40 pushups in 2 minutes and my two mile run was 20:58. What I needed? Situps=38, Pushups=34, Two Mile=18:18.

I didn't pass because of my run time, but I did way better than last time, about 6 months ago. Last time I could only do 20 situps, and that was a real struggle and I couldn't even finish the run.

I plan to start running at home, and if I have to take the test again next month, hopefully I'll knock it out with a passing score. The running has always been a struggle for me. This time I believe it was all mental. While running I would slow to a walk because I started thinking "Oh poor me, I just can't run anymore" But then some sweet voice in my head would chime in and say "What the **** are you doing walking, you don't hurt, your side isn't splitting open, start running again you dumb a$$" This went on for a little more than half of my run.

Next time will be better. I believe that sweet voice is the same voice that keeps me motivated in this Ideal Protein program. I need to turn the volume up for that guy.
