Didn't figure we would get how to cheat for the holidays past wuv. I figure I'm just going to try and be done before Christmas so I can have some of grandma's homemade tamales. Just not the whole 2 dozen I used to eat.

Howdy All!
Been away on business in Pennsylvania and just now back! Read the posts to catch-up...JW, CONGRATS on meeting goal brother...good news!!!

I dropped 3 more last week, so down to 235 and goal is 225. I am now thinking maybe lower goal 10 more to 215...wife says no, but that damn "jelly-belly roll" makes me want to keep going. Not sure yet what I will do but seems to me the "roll" is not something working-out will remove...anyone know about this?

Longhorn....good to see you bro! If not for you I would not have known about those wonderful zuchinni noodles! Haha! Those saved me more then once I can tell you!

H...man you made all those briskets...thats one of my favorites! My mouth was watering thinking about it!

Holidays: I am planning on staying on phase 1 strict until I get to weight I need to be at...even if below current goal, so more then likely I will be on phase 1 for a few months...might be able to be in phase 3 or 4 for Christmas but that depends on how my weekly losses go I suppose.

Just a shout-out to Wuv, Vet and Big Dad, you crazy losers! haha!

Vet: While in Penn. I grabbed my pistol permit from them which is good in 28 other states for concealed carry. Only took like 15 minutes and cost $20 and is good now for 5 years. Sweet deal!

Have a great day everyone!

Another 5lbs down! I'm down 20lbs in just 3 weeks. For some reason, my past 2 weeks have shown slight increase in fat % and decrease in muscle %. I have been very strict in following the plan and with my timings. Perhaps it is just work related stress.

My clothes are fitting better and that's what is truely important

I go to the WI on Monday and her scale is always a couple more lbs than mine, but I have a couple of days to loose an extra. Phase II, here I come.
WOW oh WOW!!!

Congratulations!! What a great bit of news!

My numbers started flipping over like this and I started taking in an extra, fourth, packet every other day. Numbers went back the way they should. Just an idea.

My coach suggested this if I am feeling stressed or agitated. I will give it a try. Thanks.

Went for my weekly WI and I had gained .2 lb, yet my body fat % was down. What's up with that?

Its "Redistribution"! Your body is changing and adjusting...I had weeks where I lost 1 pound, but stayed strict OP....then the next week lost 6 or 7 lbs. Apparently we adjust as we go...and I figure when we slow down while OP and being strict, it is a "good thing" and gives our skin some time to fit us better too!

Keep rockin it!

Doing IP plan on my own so no weekly WI to look forward to...instead I weight daily and sort of average the results. Tomorrow will mark 2 weeks and I am down 11 pounds. I am starting to feel a difference, still plenty of flab in the belly to lose!

Some times your body holds on to water while it contracts and adjust to less fat. Mine has run in about 4 week cycles.

I agree with this! It's not a steady linear process, but a whole bunch of stuff in constant flux. My lean mass and body fat% readings are far from stable so far (with my limited experience) - this week I apparently gained around 9lb of lean mass (if you believe the magic machine, that is).

Week 2 WI and I'm now 262lb, so only 2lb lost in the last week. Coach reckons (and I believe her) that my one [planned] cheat meal caused glycogen & water re-uptake, but that I may still have lost some fat (tape measurements are ever-so-slightly down). Still on the wagon since then (well, my customised wagon with double meat & vegetables) and so I'm hoping that next week will show further improvement (and a bigger one at that).

I know I've been doing this a little while cos most oeople at work are no longer surprised to find me eating arugala & lettuce & cucumber out of a large ziploc bag.

Thanks to someone here (can't remember who) for the tipoff about the zuchini noodles, btw... great way to fool yourself you're having some actual pasta when you need a boost!
