Sandra - keep with this program! We know this works! I purged my house of all junk before I started this and that has helped enormously, hopefully, you can do the same thing.

Have a great Friday.
I am sure I can, with all the encouragement in here, I have no excuse

I am starting again today. I tried to start 2 other times last month but failed miserably I have been off since end of April after loosing 50 lbs. I have gained 28 back so far and am just sick over it. I feel I am ready now to get back on. I know this first week is going to be **** but I have to just do it. I feel like total crap after going off. I did real well the first 2 months only gaining about 6 back but the beginning of June I noticed it came back a lot faster. You know its time to go back on when you have to buy the next size up AGAIN because you got rid of your "fat clothes" (sigh). I got 1 pair of jeans and a few shirts just to get me through the next 2 weeks in case I need to look decent. I'm glad I'm not the only one that is in this predicament LOL!! I know we can all do it. Just gotta believe in yourself

Good morning Re-starters!
Since restarting this time I have had killer headaches this week. I've tried all of the recommended tricks but they don't seem to work. The only thing that helps temporarily is Excedrine Migraine and a cup of coffee. That's a lot of caffeine but it does the job. I'm hoping the headaches end soon. I didn't have this problem the first time around. For those of you that had this problem how long did it last?

Yes I am having a better day now that I am almost done with TOM, I bought all the vegetables I need and we don't really have junk at home, I mean of course not all of my family is eating exclusively IP approved food, but at least I have all my protein, my meat and veggies, and most of all I have the support and best intentions.

I am hoping to undo some of the weight gain I got in these coming 3 days cause my official weigh-in is on Monday (this is what I decided since I weigh myself almost every day, but official weigh-in is on Monday this time, it was on Thursday first round cause I when I first started it was a Thursday).

Thanks for the encouragement. How are you doing?

Hi, have you tried the sea-salt and water trick?

How about some Ibuprofene, it seems to me, it is the only thing that works for headaches, but I think everybody is different.

Hope you'll feel better soon.

Hey SkiniMini did you drink a lot of caffeine prior to starting IP? If so, your body is going through withdrawls of the caffeine just like it does the sugar and carbs as we get ourselves into ketosis. Speaking from experience, caffeine withdrawls are very very painful but fortunately it only lasted about a week for me. I was a heavy coffee drinker and it took me a week or so to adjust to decaf. With that being said...if you are having caffeine withdrawl the Excederin may not be your best choice. Try the sea-salt and water.

Hi Sandra, so glad you are having a better day today. I forgot to mention in my last post that I keep a bag of the chocolate soy puffs handy to help wiht my craving for sweets. I eat a few and it makes my brain think i'm having malted milk balls.

Good luck to all the restarters. WE CAN DO THIS!

I just started again yesterday. I am doing alternative products.

I lost about 30 lbs last summer and gained 45 back. It was a I was hanging out at about 170 for a long time. I would stay on track for a week and then blow it for a month. This is the largest I have been non-pregnant for about 8 years. I think the reality hit when I went to the water park with my kids earlier this week and I looked and felt like a beached whale.

Thanks Sandra and MustangMolly for the advice. I tried the salt and also alternated ibuprofen and Tylenol but the only thing that worked was the Excedrine. I had pretty much given up caffeine now that I can't have my Diet Mt. Dew. So I guess I'll just chalk it up to sugar withdrawal. When I go off plan I go all out with sweets. There is not enough ice cream in the world when I get started with a sugar binge. Gee... Do you suppose that's how I got here in the first place?
Anyway my headache seems to be lessening today... So this too shall pass!

I've been quoting that constantly ("This too shall pass")! I lost 40 lbs on IP since late Jan, finishing early May. With MANY vacations and small trips, I've added 8 back. That's enough to scare me. Anyway I'm 1 week back OP and none of the old tricks are working on the headache front. I wish I could get motivation from the scale but TOM & Big C are working against me lol. But hey this too shall pass--and we know it works!!!

PS think I need to better about following the plan @ the end. I skipped Ph 2 & 3 and went right into maintenance.

Checking in to see how everyone is doing. Me not so good. I'm on plan for a few days and then off. I'm hoping to knock that stuff off and be 100 % on plan. I refuse to give up.

It is hard to stick to phase 1 in the summer, and when close to goal.

I find I am easily swayed now by people who question why I am still so restrictive since I am much thinner than I was (and then most of them). I often give in and join in on nachos, etc.

Allowing myself to sabotage this is a bad choice...

Hallelujah ! No headache today! After 3 1/2 days of killer headache it has finally gone away. Geminezmarie I hope the same for you with your headache.
Weekends are always challenging to stay on plan. I feel like I deserve a treat after staying on it all week. But in the long run its just not worth it. I read a quote when I was just starting back in May that really helps me as far as food cravings. It said "Not NEVER, just NOT NOW" I need to remember that in the future I will be able to add some of my favorite foods back in. If I would stay 100% on plan I'd get to that point quicker.
Hope everyone is having a good " on plan" weekend!
