Hope everyone is feeling better healthwise.

My sister is going on day 2 of no power in Seattle..along with 300,000 others. What a mess. At least I can leave the house..and got to the gym.

I was wondering if anyone here uses mayonaise? I use low fat mayo on my tuna, but know that it is a transfat. Has anyone found a healthy mayo?

Meatless Monday does seem to have good looking recipes. That eggplant was incredible. I think because I have been housebound, I am trying new recipes. Kayln's Kitchen has some interesting low carb recipes.

Cap those teas sound wonderful..I am going to order some exotic ones and look for Hawaiian Sunset!

I don't know how healthy it is, haven't looked yet, but I've seen Mayo made with olive oil in the stores. I'm not a big fan of mayo, so I haven't really done my homework in that area yet.

I've never liked hot tea, but some of the descriptions from y'all are making me want to try some, especially those that sound like chocolate. Do they really have a chocolate flavor?

I have not had a lot of the chocolates..but the chocolate chai tea is good. You guys drink m ore ice tea in Louisiana! I am going to order a Mayan chocolate chai and a coconut cream pie tea.

I will look for that mayo with olive oil.

Pauley..where do you buy habanero oil?

Also.I forgot to say that I hope everyone's day is going well. It is so scary when that scale moves up. I am hoping your Phase 1s or 3s help you feel in control and that the pounds go down soon.

Capricious- Thanks for your answer! and thanks for sharing your experiences.. it is really nice reading your posts.

Maile- Thanks! and I have used "Lemonaise". I've never been a big mayo lover, basically I only use it when I eat tuna, and this substitute works just fine with me. I bought it at Whole Foods.

Well, I'm on day 6 of my reboot andddd hating it.. but for different reasons. I went in for a gum graft Thursday (after I had a consultation on Tuesday, so it all happened too quickly). Only liquids for me Thursday.. so I had 5 IP meals.. I know.. I know it's a lot.. but I couldnt eat vegetables or real protein.. and I was really hungry. Yesterday I had 4 IP meals and I did eat about one cup of mashed cauliflower. I can't eat solid food for at least 2 weeks (though I can eat semisolid if I tolerate it). My plan is to stick to 4 ip shakes and 4 cups of pureed vegetables. Does it sound too much? Since I can't eat the meat protein.. then I don't see what else I can do but substitute with an IP meal, and I don't think that 3 IP shakes and veggies would be enough nourishment. Any thoughts?

Anyway, as soon as this ordeal is over and I can chew food again I will be moving to phase 3. Not being able to chew anything is really.. playing tricks with my mind. I've been thinking about food so much and I crave everything. But I do know it's not hunger.. it's just such an intense craving. It's so strong that if I could eat solids I would move to phase 3 now, but I can't so it wouldn't make sense.

Anyway, I will be checking in more regularly now I hope.

Good luck to you all dealing with snow. I only lived in a place where it snowed (a little) for one winter, and it wasn't fun to drive at all. Be safe.

You poor thing!! Sorry you are uncomfortable. I don't know what packets you have around but maybe the jello or pudding might help with the cravings. You could also make the crispy cereal pancake. That would be soft. Would your provider OK scrambled eggs? I think 4-5 packets per day is absolutely fine and in fact, you need the extra protein to heal.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Thank you so much! I will definitively start with the puddings today. As far as jello and eggs, both are recommended after 3-5 days if it doesn't cause discomfort. So I will make the 2 jello packages I have left and try tomorrow. I also made "ice cream" with the yogurt mix following Kat's recipe of ice cream in a bag. That was really nice.
Thanks again for your kind words and advise!

Golly I hope you're feeling a little better. A tip if it will help: I always added 16 ounces of water to the puddings to make a really nice shake, you get more water, and very easy to swallow. And you can always drink them through a straw. Hope this helps a little.

Dr. Tran's original plan was to only have packets and veggies, so you should be fine. He changed dinner so that dieters could fit in with the rest of society by sharing a meal with others. He thought it would help people stick with the diet if they didn't feel so alone. I hope you are feeling better soon. That procedure doesn't sound like much fun.

Jellymae: Are you freezing over there? My sister still does not have power and it is not warm. Are you living at Starbucks? I really hope you get power soon!

Good afternoon! Things here are finally on the upswing and I am feeling better.

I am very excited to get back to working out tomorrow, as I am feeling very "soft". I love when I feel lean and strong and after not working out for a week, I am not feeling it. So, back to the gym tomorrow

Aside from a lot of sleeping, there is not a whole lot to report from this end. I have been getting plenty of rest and it is paying off.

Hope you guys had a good weekend. I am looking forward to spending the day on the sofa and just relaxing before going back to work tomorrow. My carbs have been up over the weekend, so I am going to do a phase 1 day tomorrow to get them out of my system.

Anyone still stuck w/o power in the Seattle area ...hope you're back up by tomorrow the latest. We were just lucky we stayed on.
Having a Sunday treat day today and have really been doing well with maintenance while on the road. Got another week to enjoy myself AND maintain my weight while away from home.I've skipped all birthday cakes and sweets just knowing that my Healthsmart double peanut butter protein bar is my reward at the end of the day. Thank goodness!!
Have a great Sunday everyone.

Sunnymae..You are doing so well traveling and maintaining. I am going to have to look for that Healthsmart pb bar. I need a new snack.

Jenny..I am glad you are feeling better and can get back to exercise.

Jolo: Loved your little guys. You are doing so well on the shred. It was perfect for me to see as I am heading off to the gym.

Back to work today. The kids are going to be wild after a 4 day break.

I am back to a Phase 3 breakfast. Hooray. I love my raspberries.
