Great weekend but not great IP Started back 100% on Sunday so today would be day 2 100%.....going to stay that way until I can make it thru my 2 weeks on phase 2.
I know I have said it before but I don't like phase 2 but I'm going to suck it up and get thru 2 weeks. Could have been done already if I would have done it right..
I'm back again. I need this place to keep me accountable, I guess, based on my inability to stay OP. This crappy spring has a lot to do with it. It's gray and raining almost every day, and it has really affected me this year. BUT -- I am back OP as of yesterday and I really want to get this DONE!
I posted in the daily chat thread today that I have 4 people starting what we are calling the "John Size Me" program. IP protocol with alternatives. One lady has hypothyroid issues and I told her to speak to her doctor about this because I know I have seen posts about it. Can any of the experienced IP'ers give me some insight on this? What should we change for her? Is there anything that she needs to watch for? Concerns? Thanks. You all are doing so well. Great job!
I wonder if I would have had this success if it wasn't for this forum. How much to we depend on each other to make it through each day and stay accountable? Thank you to everyone for all your advice and for not being afraid to be 'real'.
Mary
This forumn has been great for me....I learned everything about this diet on here (not my coach). BTW...your pictures look great. Are you into culinary?

Hey lady, how goes it? Don't worry...no mess ups...just life happening. As long as we keep ourselves in check.

You got this....I too am digging deep...hoping to lose 15 more and then phase off at least until fall. I want to make it to June 13th without a cheat (that will be exactly 9 months).
If after 15 I feel I have more to lose (although...yipppeee I will be at a healthy BMI)....I will jump on in September to lose 10 more or so.
I know we can make it to June when you head to Disney and I head to Vegas.

Not culinary, that was the birthday cake (salad) that the girls got for me since I wouldn't eat real cake. Sweet!
Stuck on 174, I have started swimming laps, but I added some eggs to my salad at lunch to increase my protein. I'm not giving up, just wanted to 'b' a little.
i have been a bad, bad girl. time to repent! 2nd day 100% OP, so far anyways! he he

juice- i am a John Size Me since day one! fun name, i like it! calcium and soy are big issues with hypothyroid and most of the veggies on the list are also goitrogenic. most people separate their thyroid med alone first thing in the am and wait at least 1 hour. lots of others. mary shomon has one of the best sites for thyroid, also stop the thyroid madness is a good reference. i personally take armour when i first get up with a full glass of water and then i have my coffee/protein breakfast after i get to work 1-1.5 hrs later. everyone is different, research, research, research! i avoid soy proteins, and use only whey. and wait for 1 hour for my protein because most products have calcium in them.
also what have you decided you like for alternate since you left IP?
Ronda
Hope you girls dont mind if I lerk around here, I get so tired of seeing the same questions in the daily chat!! Hope that doesnt sound to mean of me,
daily chat is very repetitive welcome! and i haven't seen one person get smacked with a caramel nut bar for not whiting out buzz words on this thread... he he he
although i miss svelting, carla and linden. they know so much stuff! hope they are all well!
I went off for the holiday weekend, partly to reset to speed things up, but mostly so I could feel like a normal human for a few days. I definitely accomplished the latter, but I put myself into a lot of pain by doing it. I need to remember that my body is not used to dealing with that much food anymore. It was a definite lesson about the fact that I can't go back to eating the way I used to.
Hopefully, I'll get some diet value out of this, and will break through the last of my plateau, because otherwise it was a costly mental break.
I'm up six pounds since Saturday. I know that not all of that is fat - in fact, probably only a pound or two of it is. It'll probably be mostly gone by Friday or Saturday. But still, it's hard to see that number on the scale again and NOT get anxious about it.
Stuck on 174, I have started swimming laps, but I added some eggs to my salad at lunch to increase my protein. I'm not giving up, just wanted to 'b' a little.
Hang in there, and be careful not to restrict too much. It happens to everyone.
How long have you been stuck? I find my plateaus last about three weeks. Or maybe that's just how long it takes for me to freak out about them and do something drastic. ;-)
