Tech- Glad you are making time for yourself that is important. I had to make myself a priority and stop putting everyone else first. Solly- Great job smoking BOB out. LOL Crystle- I love salad to and for the same reason. I'm having salad for lunch today. Nursedee- It is great having you back. I really enjoy your post. Well gotta go. Have a great day everyone. |
A great big happy good morning to you all. I'm nearly jumping up and down cause I just weighed and I'm out of the 200's. I lost 2 lbs. this week. Even my DH was happy for me. I'm hopeing I motivate him to wanting to lose. Boy I slept like a rock last night. I was really tired from my long day out. But I came home with so many nice veggies and fruits. I'm glad to be stocked up again. The board was so busy yesterday.
NurseDee- I'm so glad you're on the mend. You've had a rough time of it. And you lost weight to boot. You're amazing. Your pork roast sounds wonderful. Hope you enjoyed. Bob-There you are! Good for Jackie! We miss ya over here. Sorry about your job situation. Thats great Kate is doing well. Crystle-Your food sounds yummy. I picked up some bison meat yesterday. I was glad to find some ground in our store. I'm off salad for right now I think cause its so cold here. Won't be long now till spring. But Feb. is so cold here. Tech- My goodness you're a busy bee. I know how hard it is to shop without much money. DH retired and we're really having to budget. Sometimes its great to stay the same on weight. Solly- I don't know how you go so much. That should be lots of exercise in its self. I'm not doing good on the treadmill and sure need to get back in. I'll try my best today. Hope you have an easier day at work. Mercee- Sounds like you're losing inches. What a great feeling when your clothes are getting loose and your blood sugar is good. Well off to finish my coffee. Will check back later. |
Good morning
WTG Toni...:carrot: :carrot: :carrot: I am so happy for you.
I missed breakfast this morning so I drank a cup of unsweetened almond breeze. Between taking care of hubby and not wanting to move my lazy bootie out of bed the time got away from me. :) I'll eat a nutritious lunch to make up for it. Probably a salad and burrito again. So far I"m not getting tired of them. Today's email tip: The Hidden Danger In Frozen Foods Frozen entrees are a dieter's best friend...and with good reason. They're convenient, low in calories and come in a variety of meals. Even better, these ready-made meals fit with just about any weight loss plan. However, there is a downside with stocking up on frozen foods. A typical frozen entrée can be loaded with sodium. For example, one popular brand offers a chicken fettuccini entrée that contains 700 milligrams per serving. Too much sodium is problematic for individuals with high blood pressure or other health conditions that necessitate a low salt diet. Your best bet is to check the nutritional values on each meal before selecting an entrée. I don't eat them because I'm greedy. They are such a tiny portion I still feel hungry unless I add a salad or side of veggies which defeats the purpose of an easy meal. :) My daughter on the other hand just loves them. Hope ya'll are having a super day so far. Will pop back in later. God bless, Crystle |
Toni- Congrats on your getting out of the 200's that is great. I am so happy for you.
|
:bravo: TONI!!! Way to go!!!:cheer2::congrat:
|
Toni: You're right about where I am. I'm actually around 195. Wanna race to 189? :s: A little friendly competition is a great motivator.
|
Sure I'll race you but I'm sure you'll win cause I lose so slow. This 2lbs. was weird. I would love to see 189.
Wow I just tried some red pepper hummus on whole wheat pita chips I got from Wal Mart and it was so darned good. I could have eaten more but the package of chips said only 6 of them were a serving. So now I'm having a cup of green tea with a clemintine. One of those little cuties from Wal Mart too. I'm in snack heaven. Dinner tonight will be a pork chop, with a veggie and maybe some brown rice. Thank you all for the good thoughts on my weight loss. |
hI LADIES
no time for posts today. just wanted to pop in, a busy day and computers were down for awhile. Only working half a day tomorrow since we have decided to throw my dd a surprise party on Saturday. Craziness. Just one. Toni,  I am so happy for you. WTG |
Wow, Toni!!!! Welcome to ONE-derland!!!
:spin::wave::love::cp::cb::hat::dance::flow1: I can't imagine how good that must feel!!! I'm still trying to get to TWO-terville...ONE-derland would make me keel over! LOL Seriously - GREAT accomplishment! This will make your treadmill even more inviting. Keep it up! Truly, I'm SO happy for you!! Crystle, the salad sounds yummy. I'm trying to concoct a chipotle dressing. Here's a tip from a wellness center I went to: mix equal parts of Newman's Caesar (or ranch, or whatever low-sugar dressing you can find) with FF yogurt. It's surprisingly good, lo/no sugar, and half the fat. That's what we do all the time for our salads. Also, I'm with you on the frozen meals, but there is one exception in our house: Tai Pei General Tso chicken. It isn't fried and only has 175 calories PER BOX! Makes a HUGE meal over 1 cup of brown rice or a good medium-sized meal without it. You get in lots of veggies, too. They're only $2.50 at Wal Mart. A personal weakness of mine. Very tasty. Running late with school today so I'd better scoot. Hoe you're having a nice day, ladies! Will try to check in later. Love, Dee |
OOoooohhhhh
I am SO full. Just take a pin and pop me. :) I knew when I was making dinner I was gonna be in trouble. We had eggplant and hamburger dirty rice. At least it was brown rice. :dizzy: Robert made a funny face but he ate it..LOL He did say it taste better than it looks. Not a pretty dish but a tasty one. I also tried some baked kale today. The pieces that were dried properly were very neat. The not so dry ones came out a little chewy. Jess really liked it.
NurseDee...that really sounds like a bargain. I just love oriental food. Than again I really love mexican food. And then again there is cajun food. I think I just love food. :) All kidding aside it does sound like something we could try. Zachary had a late day with school also. He is getting back into the swing of writing it out versus the computer. Solly...hope you have a great time at the party this weekend. Toni...maybe you and tech can get there at the same time. Wouldn't that be cool? :carrot: ((Everybody)) Be encouraged and know that you are worth the effort. God bless, Crystle |
Hello! Here it is Thursday night and I am just getting around to posting. I tried to yesterday morning, but my internet went down. Then I was out all afternoon. Tom got it up and running last night, and I spent time catching up on emails and my games on facebook. :O
I remembered to weigh in on Wednesday and I was down one pound. I was happy with that! At least its in the right direction! TONI: AWESOME! :bravo: Keep up the great work! BETH: Yay! I am so glad to see you back. I am very sorry to hear of your trials, especially about the little two year old. How very sad! I can relate to the lack of motivation....go get this book: Ultra Metabolism by Mark Hyman. Its really helping me get my head on right about the weight....and he has great info for combating the metabolic problems that lead to inability to lose. BOB: You stayin'? Tom is telling me I must get in bed...and he is right, its late. I will finish replies tomorrow! :grouphug: Love to all... |
Happy Friday.
I am only working half a day so I wanted to come here and post first. I did get on here at home so now I will be able to post on the weekends. It will be Sunday before I can get back this weekend. Cleaned my house and ran to the dolalr store to get plates, cups and a few decorations. Then home to make muffins for a co-worker's birthday, then collasped in a chair to watch Grey's and off to bed. I will go to the store and to Sam's this afternoon. Hope we can pull off this surprise. Nursedee, I'm so glad to hear you are finally on the mend. You have have a tough go of it. Whe I was going through chemo, nothing had any taste, other than metallic. I just kept eating trying to find smething that tasted like I remembered. Alas, 30 pouds later. Most pople lose during chemo, not me. Yes,I still have the broken bone in my foot. Going on 9 months now. I bought me a pair of Clarks shoes and so at least I can wear shoes now. And yes my finger tips are still numb. I was hoping the second epidural would help that, but it hasn't. Thanks for the information on the Wii. I just hope my DD uses it. Right now it is still sitting in her living room. I am so glad yo are back posting. Your posts are so uplifting and sweet. Is that General Tso's chicken a frozen meal? I need to look for it. That's the only Chinese food I like. Mercee, I love your attitude. I think loser clothes is a much better measure than the old scale. You are so inspiring. Crystle, one poud is one pound cloesr to your goal. Crystle, I hope you had someprotein in your salad. My trainer tells me salads are a waste of time as they are nothing but water and it leaves you so quickly. I still like and eat them. Theya re a good filelr for me. I agree with you on the frozen meals. Not much food there. I'm still hungry whenI finish. Beth, It's so good to have you back here. I'm sorry about your divorce, but happy that you have met a great guy and are happy. What a horrible tragedy. I don't see how a person goes on with their life after something like that. I just can't imagine losing a child. It's a good thing he has you. I also feel so bad for the grandparents. How they must feel. But I'm glad yo found us and you will get lots of support here. We have lots of great new people with us now and they all are so motivating. Bob, Well I'm glad my stalking paid off. Now you better get back here on a regular basis or I will come looking for you again. Toni, just think how many more 2 lbs you can lose by walking on that treadmill. You can do it. Ellen, Congrats ont eh one pound. You are doing this. Got to get busy. Have a great day. |
Good morning
I awoke to the sounds of ducks, geese, chickens and star (our pig) going nuts at 6:40. They forgot it was not time to get up. :) It's kinda cool and damp here so I"m lacking motivation. At least I'm dressed and have my makeup on.
Solly...hope you are able to pull off the surprise. About the salad. I usually do have a little protein of some sort with it. Lately a burrito. They have about 250 calories and added with the salad I don't feel guilty eating until I'm full. Ellen...hope you got a good nights rest. It's stinky when the internet goes down. Hopefully it will stay fixed. ((Everybody)) Gonna talk hubby into going to the dollar store. :) Love and hugs, Crystle |
Just finished breakfast and I'm to full. I don't why I had an english whole wheat muffin with my oatmeal. Way to much. Can't believe its already Friday. Heres hopeing everyone makes it through the week end okay.
NurseDee- How are you feeling today? Thats a good idea about the dressing, I may have to try that. Crystle- Sounds like a good way to wake up. Everyone excited. LOL. Have fun at the Dollar Store. Solly- I hope your party is a good one and a complete surprise. Going to try for the treadmill today. Don't know why I'm fighting it so bad. Will be back later. |
Ok, I am a bit reluctant to say anything yet, but this is the best venue to share so I will. I got on the scale this morning...and I am down three pounds! I am hoping it is the molybdenum my chiro has me taking, and that this is just the beginning! :) But then again, it may just be a mysterious fluke. I guess I will see come Wednesday.
I had hoped to go to water aerobics this morning for the boot camp, but I could not fall asleep last night and ended up staying up until almost three. I just slept in instead. I am still in my nightie, and I MUST go to Costco today and pick up a few essentials. I better get moving! Have a great weekend everyone! SOLLY: I hope you all pull off the surprise! :) NURSEDEE: Oh! I am going to look for the General Tso's chicken at WalMart next time I am there! It probably has gluten in it, though. :( I LOVE Asian cuisine, and especially Chinese. I have even taught a Chinese cooking class in the past.... Unfortunately, almost everything has either gluten or eggs, or both! :( TONI: Just think of how good you feel about yourself when you get on the treadmill...AND, you want to widen that gap between you and the crossing point into the 200's. Right!? Off to get dressed and be a bit productive today! Happy Weekend, everyone! |
