Ellen: :lol3: I agree...I wouldn't want to know, either. And I'm glad I read your previous post and know what Silk ladies are. It sounds like some geishas are coming over. LOL
Solly: No news is good news...or not as bad news... Toni: I hope you had a great trip! Back to work! My ticker is moving in the right direction. I think I snacked a little too much yesterday, but only had a little cheese and an apple. Yesterday for breakfast I had my standard: Kashi, milk, 1/2 a banana (they're ginormous bananas!) and 8oz of NSA orange juice. plenty of coffee, too. Lunch was two scrambled eggs with green peppers and mushrooms, an apple and some baby carrots with lots of water Snack was an apple and some cheese Dinner was a cup and a half of homemade chili and a WW round with a medium glass of milk. I think I ate too heavy at night without the opportunity to walk it off outside...currently its cold enough to have your nostrils freeze shut when you breathe in. I hate that. Night snack was tea, straight up. I also walked with Leslie. Today, breakfast was the same. Lunch will be determined when I get to it...as will dinner. OkAY...Leslie is waiting!! ;) |
Morning all:
No real time to post. My weight stayed the same. I am still determined to keep going. Have a great day all. Solly- We will see a loss next week. Ellen- Enjoy your meeting. Toni- Welcome back. Tech- Have a great time with Leslie LOL I use to use her tapes before I got my treadmill. Have a great day everyone. |
Had a wonderful visit with my tiny sister LOL. Shes so small now from the gastric bypass surgery. So I got lots of cute clothes I can wear till I get down. It was so fun hugging that tiny person. It was such a nice day. We're getting ready for snow and ice in the next couple of days here. I dread it so much. Maybe it will miss us. LOL Now for the really good news I lost 1 lb. this week. I'm so pleased. I know it doesn't sound like much but its so good for me. My heart meds slow my metabolism down so much. Hopefully walking on the treadmill will help a bunch.
Mercee- Keep going next week will be better. Sometimes staying the same is a blessing. Kris- Sounds like you're doing good. Keep up the good work. Ellen- Sorry you didn't get to swim today. Have fun with your silk ladies. Solly- Good going on staying the same its so much better than going the other way. Watch that weather. I hope you make your doctors app. Will be back later. Time to go make some oatmeal. |
Good morning
Howdy. Well, I'm very happy I didn't gain. I weighed the same as last week to the ounce. :) 188. Hopefully this week I will be more diligent with my food and see a loss. Congratulations to this weeks loser and to those who keep on keeping on. :carrot:
Last night I had an odd supper. I had two roma tomatoes and over half a pound of asparagus. I'm so glad it was on sale this week. I just love it. I would have eaten the whole pound but I was being a good sharer.. LOL Email Tip: Losing In Intervals: A Fool-Proof Plan Integrate interval training into your workout. Interval training is a regimen that uses both low-intensity and high-intensity movements. The key is to vary intensity levels throughout the workout - performing intense spurts mixed with periods of rest. For example, you might do two to five minutes of sprints, followed by two to five minutes of walking. Interval training improves cardiovascular health, boost metabolism, increases stamina and more. Toni...how nice to get some new clothes. That is always fun. I'm waiting on mama to go through her larger clothes. :) My baby sister had her tummy done several years ago and she is a size 6 and about 6 foot tall, so thin. Solly...yuck on the cold nasty weather. We are turning cold this weekend also. I'm not looking forward to it. But good news winter is almost over. :) Mercee...keep up the good work. Ellen...yuck. I'm with you. I don't want to know..LOL Tech..you are doing a great job. Keep up the good work. Be back later this afternoon. I need to get my booty in gear this morning. God bless, Crystle |
Good afternoon, everyone...:dz:
This is gonna be REALLY short because every time I sit up I feel like I'll keel over. Has been a REALLY ill week. Awful upper/lower respiratory infection, sinuses, no sleep, hacking cough, fighting off pneumonia. I haven't been able to taste anything so I'm clueless over why I ate anything, but I did fall off the wagon a few times (what a time to waste on homemade fudge! Still, it was creamy...). Most of the time I've been good but I haven't been active at *all*. I'm looking at the new treadmill in the corner and it'll have to wait a few more days. Just talking or walking across the room will put me into a 20 minute coughing fit. I don't want to take antibiotics until a bacterial pneumonia is confirmed (the reason why there are so many resistant strains is that so many people abuse antibiotics and take them for viruses, over which they're worthless). I still managed to lose almost 2 lbs. this week, and I'll take it. Must be all of the aerobic exercise from hacking. Ah, I really need to go lie down again. Just wanted to check in and commend everybody for being so good. Hang in there and I hope to catch up with everyone soon. Love, Dee :cough: :cough: :reaching for a new box of tissues...: |
Nursedee- Congrats on your 2 lb loss!!! I sure hope you feel better soon. I wondered how things were going for you.
Crystle- Next week will be better for us. At least we didn't gain. Your dinner was weird last night I won't be trying that one. LOL Have nice evening ladies. |
Just popping in...
Ellen, I'm sorry your class was cancelled, but then it was a good thing. Tech, Yeah! going in the right direction. Mercee, You're in the same boat with Crystle and me. Better than up. Hang in there. Crystle, We will get them next week. I love asparagus. Toni, Congrats on the 1 lb loss. I know what you mean about the meds affecting your loss. Mine too. Nice that you got some new clothes. Nursedee, Man you really have it good (or bad). Hoping you turn the corner soon. Take care of yourself. Heading to the gym tonight. Then home to a pot of chili, Yum! Have a great OP evening. |
Silk guild went well...I actually did a scarf today. I like the colors, but I am not sold on the pattern as it turned out..though the others loved it. They left around 1:30 and I ate lunch- sauteed eggplants, and a baked delicata squash with some smart balance on it and a piece of cheese- around 2. I was trying to talk myself into going for a walk, but I was procrastinating badly. Finally, I decided to check my blood sugar figuring if it were high, it would motivate me to get going. My blood sugar was good! Very good! So, guess what? Yep, I sat here. Shame on me!
NURSEDEE: Oh, that sounds horrible! I hope you are on the mend soon! TECH: I snickered about that 'Leslie's waiting'. I have one of her tapes, and I have used it some, but I get bored with it really fast. What is wrong with me? Do you still have your big dog? COUNTRY: I LOVE asparagus! We had it last night with the monkfish. I roast it in the oven...easy and SO good! MERCEE: There is some victory in staying the same. It is a whole lot better than gaining! SOLLY: Enjoy your chili! It sure is good weather for that here...wish I had some. TONI: That is great that your sister has been so successful! Now its your turn! Take it! :) Hey are you still playing Farmville? And I am off to work on dinner...I think it will be shrimp and broccoli stir fry... |
Well dinner is over and eating has been good today. Had a Jalapeno burger Patty and some roasted brussel sprouts for dinner. Not the greatest but the meat I was planning to have didn't get thawed out. Walked on the treadmill today so I was happy with that.
Crystle- I love asparagus. So I could totally see your dinner. Hope you had a good day. NurseDee- You sound so bad. I'm so sorry you are so sick. Rest lots and get some good chicken soup in you. 2 lbs is so great and especially while you're sick. Solly- Sounds like you have a nice evening planned. Chili sounds good on a cold evening. And you working out is great!!! You're doing good. Ellen- Great on the blood sugar. Do you do pottery anymore? Yum your lunch sounds so good. I'm still on farmville but haven't played much the last couple of months. |
Good evening
I actually had a good eating day today. Dinner was tilapia and fried cabbage. Even got in a little walk this afternoon. I'm a bit moody but I'll get over it. Robert is going to have to start IV therapy at home. We will have togetherness for the next two weeks. :) Praising God for it not getting in the bone but being a bit pouty at the same time because of it not being well yet.
NurseDee...I am so sorry you have been feeling so poorly. Praying you regain your strength quickly. Toni...you are making me hungry. :) WTG walking on the treadmill today. Ellen...awesome on the sugar. You sound like me with the procrastination. It's so easy to side tracked and put off walking. We had monkfish once and it was very tasty. We cooked it out on the grill. I need to try the roasted asparagus. That is something I've never had. About how long does it take to cook? Solly...well come on over I have some more left. :) Or I could come and have a giant bowl of chili. I'm a big eater..LOL Mercee...thanks for the encouragement. ((hugzz)) Hope ya'll are having a super evening. God bless, Crystle |
On my way to bed....just passing through!
COUNTRY: I roast my asparagus at 375 -425 degrees for about 15 minutes. I line the pan with foil, drizzle it with olive oil and sprinkle it with kosher salt. Yum! Its best roasted at 400, but the range is just because I may have something else in the oven as well....I don't think its a big deal. Try roasting brussel sprouts too...cut them in half and cook them the same way. VERY good! |
Good morning ladies,
On here earlier than I expected. Got my shot and ready to go. Hopefully it will make the numbness in my right fingers go away. It is hard to type. Made it to the gym. Did 15 minutes on the eliptical, did weights for 15 then did the :tread: for only 5. I was worn out. Hope to go tonight and just to the treadmill and bike. Need to take it easy with my neck. Ellen, I hae a friend at church whose D does silk scarf painting and they are beautiful. I think she sells them for $80+. Can you have chili? Cryslte, I am sorry to hear about Robert. I know you will be such a good nurse. Hope he heals quickly. Good job on your eating. I wish I like Talipia. It has a tuna consistantsy to me. I perfer Grouper or Cod. Toni, WTG on having a good dinner when you plans get changed and for walking on the :tread: Nursedee, hope you are feeling some better today. Mercee, Tech, are you still walking with Leslie? BOB, where are you???? Off to log my food. Have a great OP day. |
