Pujols is looking worse every game. What's up with him.
The only good news Chris Carpenter had a good start tonight in AAA Memphis. They need to get him back on the starting roster.
Our two guys that K'd Pujols today- Pelfrey and Smith have surprisingly done very well against him the times they have faced him. I love seeing our guys make him look bad, but then it also makes me think he is due to bust out big time the next night.
We have a minor league call up of our own going tomorrow so how that is gonna go I have no idea. And vs Pinero who had a big hand in ruining us last Sept.
I don't like Joba-the-Hut... he's a 'punk' I want to tell him to put his cap on straight and stop throwing at our heads... Hmh !! Ok, I'm done... On to game 2... it always feels like 'playoff' games with the Yanks in town...
Yeah Joba definitely seems like a punk.
I am glad the Mets/Phils series is over, those have had that playoff feel lately, and its so damn stressful I can't wait until they get past it. Luckily no Phils threw any at the Mets heads though their idiot announcers were suggesting they "put one in Reyes' neck" b/c he put his hand in the air when he was running around the bases after he hit a big HR. Apparently its perfectly fine for the Phils to stand at homeplate and admire their shots, double point to the sky when getting big hits, and stop and stand on homeplate and stare into the Mets dugout after scoring big runs, but a Met raises a finger to celebrate and he deserves to be skulled . Gah I hate everything about that team.

The thing is any time we go up against a minor league call up he ends up looking like a Cy Young award winner.

Pelfrey was good tonight.
It did get interesting in the 9th.
Getting shut down by the minor league call ups is something that happens to the Mets pretty often as well. Not so much lately, but its happened a lot the past couple seasons. That and getting shut down by guys with ERAs over 5.00/
It did get interesting in the 9th. Mets always seem to add some kind of drama into things, it can never be easy
Angels won last night against Baltimore... Woo hoo! We had a dinner invitation so missed the game. I know we lost a good lead but squeezed out the W anyway. Looking forward to the rest of the series.
Do any of you guys get to Spring Training for your team? We are thinking about it for next year. Our guys train in Tempe, AZ. Would like to hear your experiences going. We're thinking about making a little vacation out of it.
Just as REDSOX NATION is feeling those damn yankees!
Ok, so I hate losing, more than that, I hate losing to the Yankees, but losing to the Yankees at Fenway.... someone get me a noose.. to put around Theo's neck for not picking up some bullpen help before this series... Yes, its only July but Yankees are no longer 'streaky' they are back to being 'good'... Oh I could just spit..
------------------------------------------ <Caroline's split personality chimes in > How's everyone else doing ??? there were some really good games going on...
