the past two games will quiet the "The Mets have no heart no guts, the Phillies are just so much more mentally tough" talk for a little while
Being in First Place oughta do it......

Boston may be fighting for a wild card spot with the looks of the standings.. Other than the obvious non contenders, we are only talking about 5 or 6 game races...

New York Yankees are in town this weekend... and BIG PAPI will be back in there after being on DL since May !! I'm actually nervous...

You guys have been good all season, kinda makes me nervous that you've struggled the past few gms b/c you are due to turn it around.

And those Cards have stuck their daggers into the Mets hearts the past couple seasons, though maybe its a bit too early in the season for that to really happen now, I still don't like facing that team.

Razz our bullpen is not good at the moment.

They have blown so many games.

I would be happy with one win after that horrible series against the Brewers.

Yep, that rumor is going around. Has been for a number of years. Only Theo really knows, and he isn't talkilng.

I'm going to chime in here... *Angels* fan... If you saw Manny's defensive blunder the other night during their game against us, and his G.M.'s reaction to it (frowning and BIG eye roll) it might not seem that impossible he'll get traded. The botched play was a real mess. Miss the ball, roll on the grass, roll on top of the ball, grab the ball and stand there looking puzzled while Izturis gets to third... I was rolling my eyes too!

On another note, we've got the best record in baseball right now and at last glance were 24 games over Seattle in our division... all in a season's work!

Glad to have found your thread... I love my Angels!

There are all kinds of 'rumors' floating around... But he may have stepped over the line a bit about an hour ago... Seconds before Francona was stepping to the mike to give lineups against NY Yankees to the press, Manny said he couldn't play... He has been on and off with a hamstring injury... but... I have a funny feeling he's up to something... Its Papi's first night back and that has taken a back seat press-wise to this Manny being Manny 'story' I'm a little upset with him right now... Does he not want Papi to out-shine him... ? It screwed up the line up. Manny normally bats cleanup after Papi and opponents won't pass on both... I don't like the extra stress on Papi... but he will prolly have a couple of 'clutch' homeruns... Manny better watch his step, he's pizzing off a lot of Red Sox Nation... but he is soooooo valuable.. well that's my 2 cents.... Good Luck tonight everyone.......

Razz are you watching?

Our pitcher just came back up from the minors. He's giving up too many pitches don't know how long he will last.

OK it's official we are in a slump.

Pujols is looking worse every game. What's up with him.

The only good news Chris Carpenter had a good start tonight in AAA Memphis. They need to get him back on the starting roster.

I don't like Joba-the-Hut... he's a 'punk' I want to tell him to put his cap on straight and stop throwing at our heads... Hmh !! Ok, I'm done... On to game 2... it always feels like 'playoff' games with the Yanks in town...

Sorry Clydegirl... you have lost some ground eh' ? Still lots of time to catch up.. but I know how aggravating it is... !

GARY... Heard Nomar is back <again> they were saying he was 34 like he was old and washed up... the injuries are one thing, but 34, I think he can come all the way back.......

BILL... was it my imagination or were Jerry and Don kissing Yankee bottom tonight... the compliments were flying...
