Good morning ladies! Well yesterday was a way better day for me. I got in a double workout and ate really well. I am planning for a repeat day ahead. The weather outside is gloomy today and I am kind of welcoming it today. I just feel like getting my stuff done this morning and relaxing this afternoon. I made a batch of homemade Broccoli Cheese soup yesterday from the cooking light site and can't wait for lunch to try it. If you all are looking for low cal recipes cookinglight.com has hundreds of them. I love soup when the weather turns chilly so I looked up a bunch of soup recipes. Well today I have weights, laundry to finish, and picking up a bit and that is all for me. Tonight I will do my walk and that is pretty much it for me. Hope you all have a great day.

Morgaine I am glad you are getting back into your rountines. I bet your schedule cleared alot for you with all the shows ending. It is always a chore cleaning the house especially cleaning like your talking about. It may be good though to keep you busy. Maybe now that the shows are over you can get back into a more normal schedule with exercising and eating etc. You can do this girl just take it a day at a time. Have a good day!

Steph glad you got that run in. I think we forget how good we feel when we exercise. Get back on the bus girl and let's do this.

Susan, Angel, and Jen I hope you are all doing well.

Have a great day ladies!

Ok so yesterday did not go so well. Got into a silent fight with the love of my life...you know the kind where you are really mad and you don't talk about it then after an extended period of time you just pretend it didn't happen. It was about something stupid and it happens but I ate to get over it. Not a huge amount of food but pieces of bread covered in butter are hardly the RIGHT way to combat feeling aggression...Need to get a handle on that.

Did not go to the gym either...had to shoot a volleyball game and just felt exausted...climbed some stairs before bed.

Today I have to work work work...then I will double up on my workout...pair my yoga with a good old fashioned half hour on the xtrainer (that thing kills me lol)

Morgaine - I could see how that would hit very close to home. I am where you are...backtracked and starting over...we can do this!

Tina - Oooh broccoli cheese soup sounds divine...can you post the link for me I have been wanting to try my hand at it for forever! And great job on the double workout, I am pulling double duty tonight!

Good morning ladies! Well yesterday was a good day food and exercise wise relaxation wise though it stunk. I felt like a hampster on a wheel yesterday. I am hoping for some down time today. It is really chilly here today so I think lighting some candles and plopping down with a book sounds good to me. I just hope the kids like that idea. Well today is cardio at home so thinking Tabao. I have really gotten into it over the past week or so. I still have a bit of trouble with some of the moves but I do my best and everytime I notice it is getting easier. Tonight I have to run to Kohls to exchange a few things so that means quiet time away from the kids. Not much else going on here. Hope you all have a great day.

Steph don't you just hate those kinds of fights. I hope things are better now. The site for the soup recipe is cookinglight.com and let me tell you I had it yesterday for lunch and it was delish if I don't say so myself. Hope you have a good day hun!

Jen I'm sorry to hear your not feeling well again. Goodness girl it seems like you are always fighting some sickness. Do you take a vitamin?? Hope things start turning around for you. Have a good day!

Well ladies hope you all have a fantastic day!

Hi! I thought it was kind of cool that someone actually recomended this "drop the last 15" thread to me. It's really neat because Tina is my sis-in-law, workout buddy and a big part of my weight loss success!

Hi Tina and thanks for helping me get through this, it wouldn't be nearly as fun without you!!!

well, I'm sorry I haven't been checking in....really busy...I started to post yesterday but it disappeared. Luv Vegas, hope you are going to continue to check in...if nothing else, you'll keep Tina on the straight and narrow!

Steph, hope things have gotten better, and that you get the silent fight resolved. Don't want to let it fester inside, at some point you may want to talk about it...those kinds of things just get uglier and uglier.

Morgaine, hope you are doing ok. Jen, feel better...hope the tests go ok. Tina, thanks for holding down the fort. Angel, glad you got to the gym.

Guess what, have lost two pounds and am back down to where I show on my ticker, and also have lost 7.5 inches, mainly lower body. Think it was the t-tapping, but who knows? I'll take it, however it came off.

Got sucked into a Billy Blank infomercial for his Elite Bootcamp last week and ordered the dvds. Never did that before, but am glad I did, I just love them. His abs workout is so much fun....I've already done it twice. I never did tae boe before, but this is a combo of different techniques, moves quickly, and the ab uses resistence bands that hook onto your feet. It's a really good workout, and definitely fun. I'm going to try to do it twice a week. Not many videos I can say that I really love.

Have a great weekend everyone, and Luv Vegas, welcome!

I always thought my .5 of a inch didn't matter but today I decided to use it in my bmi and i am now 25.6 .I know it is still overweigth but the 25 is there so it is getting closer. I think I will embrace my last half an inch.

Good morning ladies! Well yesterday I finally got in the relaxation I was dreaming of. It felt so nice just sitting and watching a show in peace. I did my Taebo workout yesterday and really enjoyed it. Susan I will have to look into the dvd's your talking about. I do really like Billy and find him to be very motivating. Today I have weights and going to try and fit in a little cardio. Tonight when my husband gets home we are going to go look for furniture for the family room. I have a really nice sized family room with all mismatched, falling apart furniture so I can't wait for it to become a room I can enjoy. Well weigh in today was up 1 pound but thinking that is due to my period coming yesterday. I am really hoping for a good one next Friday. That about covers it for me today. Hope you ladies all have a great weekend. Oh I forgot Luv Vegas as you all read is my sister-in-law and walking buddy that I talk about. I have been telling her about this place for awhile now and she just recently got into it. I thought it was really cool also that someone recommended her to our thread. So keep on coming Cindy because as you can see we are all in the final stretch of this and these girls really do push you along. Okay well I hope you all have a great weekend!

Susan I have started some Billy Blanks tapes just in the past couple of weeks and also really enjoy him. Great job on all those lost inches. Keep up your good work.

Jen glad to hear you are feeling better.

Well ladies hope you all have a wonderful weekend and let's try to not do to much damage.

Ok ladies lets practice a bit of preventative maintenance this weekend. Instead of coming back here Monday morning about life getting you down, junk food sneaking its way into your mouth and your gym being unexplainable mysteriously closed all weekend...lets come back grinning from ear to ear proud of how well we did. The human body is capable of so much ... it's just the weekend. Lets make it through it unstuffed and strong! I know we can do it!

Tina - Thanks for the heads up on cooking light, I will definitely try it.

luvvegas - Hey nice to meet you Glad to see a new face around here keeps up on our toes hehe. Tina is the best isn't she?

Susan - You are right about the fight, but alas all is well again. I have seen that infomercial very very tempting...sounds like it turned out to be a good purchase though.

Hi girls....
LuvVegas!! hey...any friend of Tina's is a friend of mine. Hope you post often.

Tina....that relaxing day probably did you the world of good!!...it is getting chilly isn't it? Last night the furnace kicked in, and I had it set at 70. I've also noticed that the sunsets are now at 7:15.....ds is using his flashlight to play outside.

Stephie.....that is a great idea!! no more sad faces come Monday morning....I'm OP!!

Susan....Billy Blank, is he really that motivating? You're not sucked in unless you don't use them and they're not what you thought they were...sounds like a good purchase to me.

Canadianmom....wooohooo, great BMI reading. Hope you feel better.

Just got in from the gym. I let ds sleep in (as he's off from school for a 3 week break) and when he got up at 9:45am....he said 'lets go to the gym MOM," hehe....he wanted to see what other kids were in the daycare room. We raced around getting dressed and doing a bazillion of things, but after all was said and done, I had a GREAT WORKOUT!!! I'm glad we went!! See how easy it was for me NOT to go to the gym? My excuse was it was too late to go. I have to really get back to just doing it!!!

Steph, I'm with you....this is going to be a great, positive, weekend...I have nothing planned but cooking cleaning, and studying for my exam....and working out!!!! I am one pound away from 20 pounds lost, and I want this weekend to be the time to get it accomplished! I want it sooo bad! I am going to take a nice long walk, work in the garden, and do at least two workouts. Just have to be good tonight, as I am going out to dinner with friends. have to really watch myself.

Angel, so glad you got to the gym....it just needs to be a habit. Obviously your son likes going , so you have no excuses.

Luv Vegas, if you feel comfortable, we'd love to hear a little about you...glad you decided to continue with us...we will cheer you on, easy enough, and commiserate with you on a bad day.

Good luck to everyone and best wishes for a happy weekend.

Here's a quick bio:
I met my husband in junior college 14 years ago, I was an art major and then switched to nursing, he's a computer programmer. We got married two years later and also had our first son that year. I gained quite a bit of weight during and then after pregnancy. After my son was born I decided to work and be with him so that was it for school. I lost some weight but then gained it all back and more with my 2nd son's pregnancy. That was my very highest in 1999 I got up to 250 right before his delivery. At that point I was scared and did lose some of the weight, but I went about it in all the wrong ways. Diet pills, starving myself, etc. Then I had two more kids, one in 2002 and the last in 2004. Four pregnancies, three c-sections total so my body was/is a real mess. In March 2005 I went on vacation (Vegas of course!) and came back weighing 209 and something in me just had had it. I finally decided to get healthy and lose weight the right way. Lucky for me I had the support of my husband and at the same time Tina had also decided she wanted to lose weight and we became walking buddies and really helped each other stay on track. I'm doing calorie counting/cycling and really just focus on eating healthy foods. And I made excersie a regular part of my life. So far after a year and a half this is the best I've ever done with losing weight. And I also have rheumatiod arthritis, and since I've gotten healthy that has gone into remission, so I am thrilled about that. So, that's my story in a nutshell, and now I'm at the end of this journey and just looking foreward to hitting my goal and being happy when I look in the mirror.
Good luck to everyone and I look foreward to getting to know you all!

Hi all! Think I'm probably going to be really busy this week, as I will be leaving Friday for my niece's wedding in Boston, so am checking it today. This has been a mixed bag weekend. Yesterday my allergies were horrendous ...couldn't stop sneezing and felt miserable...of course I ate, just because my resistence was down, and didn't accomplish much of anything. Went to bed, took a antihistamine, and zonked out for the night. Today took another daytime allergy pill this morning, and have been able to function.

I have already worked out three times today (my own little biggest loser show). I did t-tapp in the morning, studied, then did Billy Blank's abs, and Karen Voight's upper body, then studied, then went to the gym and worked out ont he elliptical for 35 min, and now I'm home and about to dust, vacuum, and wash the kitchen floor. Have to make up in productivity what I lost yesterday from not feeling well. Also having company this week and want the house to look fresh and clean.

Hope you all have a great week. LuvVegas (Cindy), so nice to get some background....you are lucky to have a workout partner...makes so much difference, and keeps you on track. Glad you are joing us.

Jen, hope you are feeling well again. Angel, keep up that gym work! Stephie, are you grinning from ear to ear because of a great weekend? Tina, did you find the furniture you wanted for the family room? Morgaine, how was your weekend? Are you feeling a little less stressed now that the shows are over, and you have fewer classes to teach?

Have a good week ladies in case I don't have time to check in again.

Susan

Good morning ladies! Well this weekend was wonderful! I will give the condensed version of it for you all. Friday went and ordered furniture and I can't wait to get it and have a real family room. It will take six weeks so we have time to paint and get the carpet cleaned. Saturday went to see Toby Keith and had a blast. I went with my dad, sister, and step-mom. Joe Nicholas opened up for him and boy was he good and not to hard on the eyes either. Anyways had a great time and would love to see them both again. Sunday woke up and went to the bike trail with the family and explored a cave. My husband spotted a snake right off bat and I stayed pretty much on rocks while they explored but it was neat anyways. After the bike ride we took the kids to the park and then headed home. I threw a roast on the grill and then we chilled and watched a movie. A great weekend and I am really sad it is Monday already. Food and exercise were okay. Today I have weights and cardio to do along with some laundry and that is about it. Hope you all had a great weekend.

Have a great day ladies!
