Found out this morning that my daughter's family will be moving to Little Rock. Her husband was just offered a great opportunity there, and she will probably be able to stay home and take care of my grandbaby...and maybe even try having another baby. They will be moving right around Thanksgiving, so it's going to be pretty quick. I'm excited...a new state to visit! A great opportunity for him, and a chance for her to really enjoy being with her daughter as a full time mom.
I'll be out of touch the next few days...am going up to PA for a workshop on working with people who need strength training, through Tufts University. Am excited and nervous...am the kind of driver who falls asleep at the wheel after an hour, so driving 3 hours is going to be a stretch for me. Have a good couple of days!
Well, the shows are all over. We ended the run Sunday afternoon, however it was very hard to do that last show - our light guy died during the night Saturday. It was very hard to suck it up and try and put it out of our mind during the show on Sunday.
Now we are busy planning a "celebration of life" for him for this weekend.
My emotions are running pretty rampant right now and this morning I "went shrew" on my husband before I left for work. This is so unlike me. I just want to curl up in a ball somewhere and die.
tranfering is when they put the embrios in me and then we havethe 2WW (2 week wait) then I get a prenancy test done (at the hospital but I will probably do a home 1 too). If the schedule stays the same I might be able to tell the guys around Xmas if this transfer takes. When thy found out they were picked by a surogate they just got back from their honemoon so I hope I can tell them at xmas.
My eating was crap yesterday and today I am scared of weight in on Sunday
Good morning ladies! Well I don't remember if I wrote yesterday or not but I am thinking not. Not a whole heck of a lot going on. I did decorate the house yesterday for Fall/Halloween and it looks really cute if I don't say so myself. Umm still crossing my fingers that the weather turns out for the boys party this weekend. Today I have to do weights and cardio and that is about it. I am going to make a big pot of Chili today so hopefully that will warm me up.
Morgaine I am really sorry for your loss. I know how devasted you must be. I think it is really cool though how you are doing a celebration of life. That is a really great idea and it will be nice to focus on all the happy times and good this man did. Hope you have a good day and try and keep your head up.

Morgaine...I'm so sorry to hear about your castmate. I don't know how you made the 'show go on' but he would have wanted it that way I'm sure. I was so excited to hear about your shows performance and then this happens. Hopefully dh will be a support for you and know that this is a very stressful time for you.

Hello ladies! I have been super busy getting ready for this party. I have been super hungry this week also and don't know why. I have been sticking to my calories though so that is a plus. Exercise is kinda half hearted this week but still getting something in. Well the weather is not looking to promising here for the party but I am still crossing my fingers. Hi all! Was a great workshop, geared to help older people whose bone mass has started to deteriorate through osteoporosis, osteopenia, etc.. Was really comprehensive and well run. Woke in the hotel at 3 am this morning after a noisy evening of trying to sleep through toilets flushing, people moving around in other rooms, etc., and decided to take off and come home and get some good sleep. Took about 3 hours to get home...glad I left when I did because it looked like there was going to be alot of construction going on during rush hour around Phili, and I whizzed through it. Napped, then headed in to work.
Morgaine, I am so sorry to hear about your coworker at the play. It must have been such a bad and frightening shock to everyone. My condolences to all of you. Such a horrible situation for the family, for friends, and for coworkers.
Jen, such an exciting time for you. Hope all continues to go well.
Tina, maybe you can see parts of the biggest loser on the computer...sometimes the stations replay the shows. I had nothing to do in the hotel, and watched all 2 hours. It was inspiring.

Good morning ladies! Well the party is over and it went good. We got really lucky and the weather held off until the very end and by then cake and presents were done so I was relieved. I think everyone had a nice time though. Today it is chilly but supposed to be warming up this afternoon. I went a bit off track over the weekend but today I am back with the calorie counting and exercise. I almost fell over when I saw 139.5 on the scale Friday so I don't want to flub that up. Today I have weights to do and my walk this evening. I hope you all had a great weekend.
Susan glad your workshop went so well. I am with you though I sleep awful in hotels and would much rather just get home to my own bed. I was wondering if you could recommend anything to help me with my balance. Over the weekend I was doing a Taboe video and really struggled in the parts were balance came in. I find though I have trouble with balance period though so I was wondering if any exercises helped with this. I hope you had a wonderful weekend!

Angel my oldest son is turning 10 and my youngest is turning 3. Both my boys birthdays fall in October though so we do a combined party which always works out well. How is the challenge coming? Hope you had a great weekend!

Just a quick check in...all good here, tho' other than cardio, haven't done any exercise. Tina, here are some balance exercises.
Stand straight, shoulders back, butt tucked, feet few inches apart. Shift your weight onto one leg, with slight bend at the knee, putting majority of weight onto heel. You will need to put the arm of the weight bearing leg out to the side for balance, keep other arm on hip, if need be. Slowly lift the other leg to the side, keeping foot flexed, and back ten times, without touching the ground, then turning toes out, heel in, lift to the back 10 times, finally, bend knee slightly and swing leg to the front 10 times. Keep core tucked tight the whole time. Real good for balance. Another good balance stance is a one-legged squat, making sure when you squat on one leg, you keep butt back and don't bend knee any further foward than toes. A third is to get on hands and knees, lift right arm out straight like a pointer dog and left leg out, hold for 10 seconds, then reverse left arm out straight, right leg out, hold. That will work both balance and core muscles.

Hi girls. Its the first day of ds's cycle break and I had all but given up hope of working out. Then I remembered, he's got PSR for an hour so I dropped him off at church and then worked out for 50 min!!! Tommorow we will be heading off to the gym in the a.m. as they have daycare. Food was really good today and although tempted by (nasty) pizza (yummm) at costco, I didn't order any and had some tomato soup when we got home.

Susan.....I hate hotel sleep. I am such a light sleeper (noise and lights) that I have to bring a blindfold cover or that pesky sliver of light under the door or by the edge of the curtains WAKES ME!!! Great to hear the workshop was a valuable one for you.

I was sick this weekend , I couldn't breath all that well so I went 3 days without exercing but I am back on track today. Although not breaking any speed records but I will bring my speed back up this week.Got through mt 30 mins cardio and 30 mins the other stuff.
Good morning ladies! Well yesterday was a good exercise day but a awful food day! I don't know what my deal was but I wanted everything that was not good for me. I went for my walk and then came home and ate a plate of lasgana. I don't know what came over me yesterday but today it is going to stop. I am going to get my exercise in and stick to my calories if it kills me. I just made it into the 130's and I won't stay there if I keep this up. Yesterday my son rode his bike over to his friends house and about 1/2 hour later I get a call from him crying so hard I could hardly understand him. He fell off his bike and banged himself up pretty good. I think the kid took like 10 years off my life though. I am glad he is okay though besides being a bit sore. I guess I am lucky though since he is going to be 10 and has never broke anything or needed stitches. I think that is doing good for a boy. I am going to see Toby Keith this weekend with my dad and sisters and can't wait. I love him and hear he puts on a great concert. Well ladies that is about it for me. Hope you all have a great day!
Susan thank you for the balance tips. I am going to try and do them a few times a week and see if I can get a little steadier on the feet. Glad things are going good for you!

Ok so trying desperately to get back on track I hate how I feel when I am not working out. Did stretching for about 20 mins yesterday as well as running about 2 mi...felt amazing. haven't really run since my shin splints and I kept having to photograph cross country meets for the paper I freelance for...I never thought I would miss and CRAVE running! Eating went pretty well but as always could have been better. Today is Tuesday strength training day so I will be making another appearance at the gym.
Just checking in - sorry I left a "pity-party" message and then disappeared. Trying to get life back to normal right now. The shows are all over and I have my life back. I have dived into Fall cleaning my house and I'm busy doing that.
We had a "celebration of life" thing at the theatre for our friend. It was sad, but filled with nice memories. I hope we don't have to do it again any time soon for anyone else though. Makes me worried, this fellow was 53 and my DH is 52.
My eating habits went to heck...I'm up to 148.5 this morning. Still within the last 15 pounds, but makes me shake my head that I'd gotten all the way down to 141 at one point and now I have to start over...
