I just wanted to thank everyone for the encouragement and prayers you've provided for me. I'm very grateful. And when the Lord blesses me with my awesome career position, I probably won't need to post a comment on this forum. You guys will be able to hear me shouting HALLELUJAH from where ever you're located. ;-> No, seriously, I will definitely post a praise comment to let you know about the awesomeness of God, but I'll probably give out a shout of praise anyway so that my neighbors will know that God is good too. :-)
Melissa I always believe that God has a "special" place that He wants us to work. So I pray that He will guide you to that place that He will give you a great job so you will be blessed so you can be the blessing you desire to be. I pray He will do a quick work for you. Blessings.
MayDay14 I went through that type of situation with my previous (now deceased) Hubby. He wanted me to lose the weight, but he would end up sabatoging it. I agree with Melissa and pray that your Hubby will see the importance of healthy eating, etc.
I pray that Rosebud is having a great time with her family on her trip.
Bootsie, Bargoo, Ronni and others Prayers continue for all.
I know I haven't been around 3FC in a bit, but I wanted to request prayers today for a friend of mine and her family.
Amy is the wonderful mother of 4 beautiful quadruplets. They were born at 25 weeks and 1 day after her organs began failing from HELLP Syndrome, and immediate delivery was required to save her life. One of her children, Delaney, has already passed away. Two of them (Sadie and Camden) are doing as well as can be expected, but Sydney is struggling. Her most recent update was:
Quote:
Sydney has taken a turn for the worst. She is very distended in her tummy. Her lungs have taken quite a hit. There is nothing more they can do for her. She can either stabilize-but outlook very concerning considering her organs have been through so much. If she gets worse, I will have to make the decision to DNR.
I wish I could breathe for her. I wish my heart could beat for her. I wish I could make it all better for her. My heart is breaking. Please world do not give up on her.
Please pray for strength for Amy, and that Sydney is strong and fights to pull through this. Thank you all so much...I want to surround those babies and their mother with all of the love and prayers I can muster.
Mandalinn-I'll be praying for Amy, Sydney, Sadie, and Camden, for healing, strength, comfort, and God's mercies on the babies' little bodies. Such a struggle, but He does provide. One of our missionary couples had twins very, very early (I think the largest one weighed about 1 pound) and God got them through. I'll be praying.
Prayers for all other requests as well. God bless, my friends
Mandalinn - Praying for Amy and her precious babies Sydney, Sadie, and Camden. Praying for God to comfort of the loss of the one baby and strength for her and the other babies to come through this situation and live long, happy lives.
Thank you all so much for the prayers. Sydney is still hanging on and fighting, and yesterday, Amy got to spend two beautiful hours with Camden against her skin for kangaroo care...and his stats stayed high almost the entire time.
Please keep praying for little Sydney and her mama to be strong.
Continuing to pray for all & especially the babies.
Just to update my mom's status. There will be a hearing tomorrow for her to have a chance to finally agree to the meds willingly. If she won't agree, there will be a committal trial on Thursday, where they social workers anticipate that she will be committed for mental health treatment, including court ordered medication and food. I decided to go ahead and go with DH for his conference, as the DA said that, if they need me to testify, I can do it by phone. I tried to talk to Mom a couple days ago and she was very hostile. Debating calling again, as I don't want to make her madder again. So, could use some prayers for Mom, as well as travel mercies for DH and me, plus the boys will be on their own for the 4 days and doing their work and VBS, etc.
Well, some prayers are being answered. Mom agreed to begin taking the meds & they are different ones than she has ever been on before. She has even stated that she will continue to take them after returning home, which will be a while yet. I can't help but think she might be playing the system a bit, but I will keep praying and hope for the best. Thanks so much for the prayers! There will still be a trial on Thursday and the judge may go ahead and issue an order to make sure she continues treatment.
Hi Ronnie,
First, I praise God for all of the progress He has worked in your Mom's situation. I pray that her agreeable disposition is sincere and that the Lord gives her the strength and the inclination to continue with her progress to a state of good mental and emotional stability and health. I pray that you and your family are healed, and relationships are restored in love, faith and trust. I ask all of these blessings in the name of Christ. Amen.
Mandalinn, I'm still praying for the good health and recovery of Amy's sweet babies. Thank you for keeping us updated with their status. God bless you.

Ronnie so thankful things are looking better for your Mother, will keep her and you and your husband in my prayers, Rosebud praying for you dear, that you are having a blast on your trip making many precious memories. Madalin will pray for Sydney and her babies. Melissa you are still in my prayers, I can tell you are one special lady and who ever hires you is going to be blessed. Bargo praying that the dear Lord shows favor upon you with many wonderful blessings.
HI EVERYONE -- we got back home late yesterday afternoon and boy, just unpacking and washing our laundry was exhausting. We had a marvellous time -- saw lots of sights and places we hadn't been before. DH did really well while we were gone; only had one night where he kept me awake with his sleeping antics -- almost falling off the bed a few times.
To amend that, we got our own rooms in one place where DH & I had our own beds -- that was so nice. We had a cot for him in the hotel we stayed in for the wedding. I picked up a bathing suit for DH and a bathing costume for myself to hide my lumps & bumps and no-one seemed to mind. I hope to be able to go to our pool in the future if we can afford it.
We had a nice trip both ways -- the scenery was magnificent. I didn't realize that area of our province was so beautiful: lots of trees, and lakes, and beaches, and rock formations. We stayed at one motel that was on a lovely beach too. We had some really nice meals with homemade cooking; seems GOD led us to the right places. We enjoyed the ferry ride both ways too (had breakfast one way and lunch the other).
Brought home some summer clothes for both DH & I; plus a few souvenirs (mostly practical stuff but a couple of things like a homemade crafted bracelet and genuine stone necklace). Had fun and splurged a bit, but we really wanted to have a good time becuz I don't know how many trips like this we would ever be able to take in the future.
TO THE NEWBIES; glad to have you all join us here. Have sent up prayers for all your requests, and hope you are all well. We all have our trials, don't we? I spent some time reading before posting. I have to go get some blood tests done tomorrow but will try to catch up and start a new CHRISTIAN ENCOURAGERS' THREAD for June as well.
THANKS FOR ALL YOUR PRAYERS, and words of encouragement -- they mean a lot to me and help me when things are so tough for us right now.
