i couldn't get the one i am now using as my avatar to shrink enough as an attachment. i have my arm on my head to show the tat on my wrist. you can't see it in this little file tho.
i hope you like the pics
thanks for praying for dennis. he was trying to drown in my dream.
Bev, your tat is way cool. I showed it to my daughters and they love it. I was so glad to see your face, I have really missed you. I know you are dealing with alot and I will continue to pray for You, girfriend and of course for Dennis and Momma. Our Pastor spoke on HOPE this Sunday and Sunday past, and I thank God for Hope, He is our Hope, He is the ONLY HOPE, so you make sure to hold on to it, if you can't I will hold on for YOU, cause, well you know, I don't even need to say. Darlin' you look so cute in your picture, I just love it. Decided not to do the one by the tree, ugh?
Laurie, have a safe and wonderful trip. We will miss you, but we know you will be enjoying yourself and your family.
Rosebud, I have thinking alot about you and your family today, I will continue to pray.
Blondee, glad things are working out and I am quite sure your brother is happy.
Gary, it's nice to hear you are getting a little relaxing time in. Glad you get to be more, it's nice still when you are not here, but nicer when you are.
Today was a pretty good day here. I actually cleaned off my computer desk today and that is really saying something. I almost could not see my screen. LOL I think the only rough spot was I had a doc's appt. for 2:45 and was not seen until 5:15, but I was so happy with myself, even though I was hot as a fire cracker, I kept my composure. I guess I am growing because I have seen the days I would have walked out. God is good.
Well little darlin's, please have a wonderful evening and a blessed tomorrow.
Ags - Yeah, I do. THank you. I have the tree pic on my profile page if anyone wants to see it. i just wanted to use the tat one... everybody loves my tree one...

Well, what a difference a day and umpteen prayers can make -- got word tonight that our stepmother, GRACE (we call her Gracie), is doing much better. They managed to get a hold of her specialist and he told them to keep her in the hospital until those complications have cleared up.
The one problem was that her own physician was away; and the young replacement doctor (probably terrified) had to wait until he could reach the cancer specialist today. My Dad is exhausted, but they are so relieved as they were fearing the worst, but were trying to put on a brave face for each other and everyone else too.
Now they have told her to make sure she speaks up, yells, or whatever (but of course, that's not her usual demeanor -- becuz she's a quiet, sweet, reserved Christian School teacher). Now, we just have to get her to stay in bed! Anyways, things are looking up so thanks for all the prayers and good thoughts ... Rosebud.
PS ~ we are also grateful to the untold dozens of other PRAYER WARRIORS across Canada & the United States that have been praying for Grace over this weekend (via other prayer partner groups we belong to); thanks to them all and may GOD BLESS EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM for their dedication and faithfulness!!! They are all ...

Thanks, AGGIE ... we really appreciate all the prayers. Talked to my Sis last night, and we are hoping that they will keep her in the hospital until all the blood clots have stopped (they removed the catheter last night), and she is stable (normal blood pressure et al).
RE: Hypereating (I also posted this in the ?Idol? thread) --
Here's a link to one of those interesting articles by Dr. Kessler explaining the addictive-like qualities that high-fat, high-sugar, and high-salty foods can have on our brains & bodies ...
Rosebud, here is a message for Gracie,
Gracie, I am a cancer patient , too and while I wholeheartedly believe in the power of prayer. I also believe in attitude , and my attitude is that cancer will not win. I plan to kick cancers butt, anyway I can, through prayer, medicine, radiation, chemotherapy, whatever it takes. I saw an ad for the pink ribbon campaign, the last line was. "Are you tough enough to wear pink?" You bet I am. By the way, Gracie, this is my second round with cancer. God bless you, Gracie and keep your faith. Here are some scriptures for you, Isa 41:10 AND Isa 41:13 , these are two that I find especially helpful.
THANKS, BARGOO ~ I will definintely pass that wonderful message on to her. I asked my Dad how GRACIE was doing mentally, and he said that she was "gettin' mad" -- we laughed, and I said that was good becuz that means that deep down she has a "fighting spirit" that won't go down easily!!!
BTW, I want you to know that we think that all of you Prayer Partners & Encouragers are too!!!
The following link is off today's NBC Today Show. It is about the Miss USA Pageant the other night. The girl in the video is first runner up. She is an acquaintance of our family...played rec softball with my step-daughter for a few years and my son coached her in track a couple of years when she was in high school. I think you will be proud of her...I sure am.
Gary - I saw her answer while I was at the jail to see Dennis! I am proud of her. We should all be bold to stand for what we believe in...if we don't stand for God, we are doomed to fall.
Ags - I reminded you of one of yours? awwww. I'm glad they liked the tat. I want to get another one this week. I'm praying about it.
I saw Dennis today. he's in good spirits, but is BEGGING for people to write him. He is bored. He's already read 3 books. lol So, if anyone wants to write him, PM me and I will give you the address. His bday is Sunday...he begged me for more money so he could buy a hamburger for his bday. I gave him 10 and told him he is more than my phone bill! He's gotten almost a 100 from me in a month...that's getting nipped.
Gary I will check out the video tomorrow since it is so late tonight.
Bev, good to hear Dennis is in better spirits and yes you are right the phne bill can get pretty expensive. Ouch. I am writing to Dennis this week and maybe he will get it beefore his Birthday. I hope so. Glad your headaches are gone.
I am signed up a 5k and am really nervous about it. I hope I have not bitten off more than I can chew. I think I would be crushed to start it and not finish. I guess it is good that at least I am going to try. Well it is late and I am tired so later gators and be Blessed.
Ags - thank you!!!! you are a sweetheart! I am glad the head aches are gone too. I've been speeding up on the elliptical and still keeping my heart rate under 180...now, if i can remember that crappy food just makes me LITERALLY sick now...
And you can do the 5k...just walk as much as you can. you will finish. when is it? start walking one mailbox farther a day than you did the day before, you will work up to it. hey...i could barely do 5 minutes on the elliptical when i started and now i do between 30-35 4 days a week. FAST! well, fast for my little 'hobbit' legs! LOL
Good night all. It's been a looooooong day! I was at the airport at 7:45 AM to see off a friend ...that was fun. then it was hang time with my friend dee, saw dennis, gym, babysat, home, phone with aforementioned friend...then NCIS on netflix. good day!!!!
