It's so inspiring to see what you gals are accomplishing.
One thought - and this one is directly from recent experience...
Make sure you GENTLY stretch (ESPECIALLY THE CALFS, HIPS AND BUTT) about a 1/3 of the way into your walk (once the muscles are warmed up) and then at the end. Especially if your doing a workout that's intense for you.
I've been a Walker (Mentor) for the past 4 years with a group called the LA (Calif.) Leggers. It's a marathon training group. And we've been fortunate to have a number of coaches and speakers guiding us.
I've done a few Marathons, and now am back to what I consider a more sane training regimen. Still intense though.
But I was impatient and cocky and "forgot" to stretch after two intense workouts (sat. and mon.) and tweaked my lower back. So now after paying for a Physical Therapist to tell me what I should already know, I'm taking it easy and STRETCHING!!!
Joanne - you are amazing

Losing 57 lbs. and walking 18-21 miles a week is awsome. (I'm 45 by the way and orig lost 30 lbs.) I do about 15 miles on average a week. And am back to basics with WW to lose the 10 pounds I've gained.
For anyone who's intersted in using the Weight Watcher Journal,
Check out the Maintainence / Lifetime Thread: 12 Week Journal Diary Challenge, I started . Writing down what I eat seems to be the only way for me to keep to WW program.
Thanks again. And keep it up gals. I too started with 15 min 2ce a week and going very slowly. It works!
