I was out like a light by 10pm that's unusual for me, I must've been really tired.

I do hope I get to 147p soon I'm getting so tired of fighting the good fight. My drive is diminishing by the week. I won't give up (no worries) I'm just losing the will to continue on whereas before I was all gung ho. The loss is too slow, I'm beginning to not like this older age thing.

Gabi - Saw your post about DVD recommendations and decided to just tell you here that I enjoyed Jari Love's strength dvds. They're really high rep though.

Thanks! I just looked into her on Amazon. Does she require equipment besides hand weights?

Wow, I just noticed 30 Day Shred has almost 4,000 reviews. O_O That is a GREAT DVD I must say.

The DVDs I did had the option of either using free weights or a bar with plates. She also had a step bench for some of the exercises but it wasn't a necessity.

Awesome, I'll order it asap. I have 5p weights for Jillian; what do you suggest I start with for Jari, 10p?

Done w/ Jillian. I decided to burn Janet Jackson's Design of a Decade into my ipod. *dances

Time for shower, I'm all sweaty and I don't want my face to break out. Can't believe I even still deal with ance at 38. :/

I used everything between 3/5 pounds to 10/12 pounds with Jari. She does muscle group specific exercises so you'll need to go up or down between each depending on whether its a small or large muscle and how strong you are. I also could have used much heavier weights on the leg exercises, but I just didn't have any at the time.

Hello Ladies!

I have all of Jari's workouts, but am partial to the first one. Although ripped 1000 made me giggle like a kid trying to keep up with the drills.

Since the talk is about dvd's, a site that I frequent is having a sale. Total Fitness Dvd's is the name and the owner name is Mary. She is super nice and very responsive to email messages.

Happy Friday!

Back to 151 this morning.

I'm planning for strength work of some kind, but I'm going to wait to see how I feel this afternoon and decide then.

The info that came with the bcp said TOM would start after the week of inactive pills is over, but it seems to be starting after just a couple days and I'm starting to get cramping too... so the GYN may have been correct about the first month being absolutely horrible. Not looking forward to the next week.

ETA: Finished TurboFire Lower 20 followed by some arm exercises.

Philly, I'm eyeballing "Get Ripped" on Amazon is that the one you like? I'm going to pick up a set of 8 or 10p weights to start I think...anything over that I don't think I could handle yet. Just my 5p weights kill me sometimes depending on what Jillian is making me do.

TOM will start 2-3 days into your inactive pills and will be gone by the time you start a new pack....what's happening is normal. You may or may not get some spotting inbetween periods the first few months. Don't fret.

Yes!! Get Ripped and Get Ripped 1000 are my favs. I have the other two Slim & Lean and Ripped to the Core, but I don't remember them.

Why not just get an adjustable set like this one. It will eliminate having to buy more weights when your strength increases. I got my adjustable set from walmart years ago. I started out with a stationary set of 3,5,8's, but got a 30lb adjustable after 8's got too easy.

Oh. Em. GEE.

149.8 this morning!!

I totally freaked out and ran directly to get my two ten pound dumbells to weigh. I put them on it and they came out to exactly 20 pounds. So I guess it's for real!

I'm in shock! I can't believe it! I think I might faint...

I'm prepared for it to spike up a bit... always seems to happen when I start to get into a new "decade" but still WOW.

Congrats! We're now almost the exact same weight.

Gonna work out today as well as try to tackle painting the last bathroom and maybe the laundry room. BBL!
